"Stranger Danger"

O N WA R D S;

"Georgia do you remember who Sloan Hall is?"

The question made her cheeks go white and her lips quiver as the words refused to leave her mouth. She visibly gulped and nodded her head, "Yes, I-I do, how d-do y-you k-k-know him?"  Her bottom lip trembled as fear had completely taken over her body.
"Your family told me about him when he tried to force his way into the hospital to see you." He spoke softly, "What do you remember about him, love?"

"Everything." She wrapped herself up in her arms and diverted her eyes away from him.
Caleb's eyes widened, knowing fully well her family didn't know she remembered who he was. Her memory was all coming back and now Caleb suddenly wondered how much of her memories were actually back. He felt a bitter taste in mouth as he thought of if she actually remembered why she left him but was refusing to tell him but he quickly shook the thought away, he knew her better then that, she would tell him.

Suddenly before Caleb could open his mouth she spoke, "What did they tell you about him?" She asked wearily.
Caleb wanted to reach out to her but he refrained his better judgement pushing through, "They told me that when you dated, he hurt you and then you left him the same night it happened and ended up in your parent's house."
There was a bitter laugh that escaped her throat at Caleb's seemingly inaccurate account of what happened.

"I wouldn't doubt he's behind this," she sighed gesturing to her house, "When we dated he didn't just hurt me one time Caleb," her voice was cracking.
"It had been happening for weeks, and I.... I didn't know what to do." She paused, "I told myself that I could take it and it'll get better but it only got worse."
"Why didn't you tell your family sooner!" He demanded, his fists tightening in anger as Georgia related her story.
"I couldn't bring myself to worry them anymore," she shrugged, "I couldn't put them through it."

"What did he do to you?" Caleb asked hesitantly, trying to keep his anger hidden but wasn't doing a good job.
Her lip continued to quiver and she fidgeted with her fingers, "He'd hit me, umm.... punch me, kick me." She gulped, "When it got really bad, sometimes I couldn't get out of bed and... everywhere hurt."
Caleb's jaw clenched, "The night I left, he'd picked up a knife and was running towards me but I managed to get out of the house and into my car. I drove over to my parents house and they handled it— but I lied. I told them it had only happened once."

Caleb wrapped her in his arms and ran his hand soothingly in her hair. Beyond a doubt Caleb wanted to kill this guy himself but with his girl in his arms he didn't want to react too harshly.
"He won't be coming near you again." Caleb silently vowed.
Caleb suddenly went through the options he had of whether or not he was going to tell  her about what Sloan had been up too recently; with the text messages and the stalking and he knew he needed to tell her everything.

So he did.

"Oh my god." Her voice broke as she covered her face with her hand.
"He was behind it."
Caleb nodded, "Adrian and I think so."
"Why didn't you tell me sooner!" Her voice flared with anger.
"It wasn't my place to tell, your family—"
She cut him off, "Knew nothing!" She croaked out.
"They think they're protecting me by trying to keep parts of my life a secret!"

She drew from his arms standing  away from him as sirens could be heard in the distance. The couple rushed to the door to meet the officers as they were exiting the car. Caleb spoke to the officers quietly, not leaving out a single detail and both officers listened intently.
"We're going to search the house for prints now, miss Graham, I think it's in your best interest to pack a bag to stay with someone you trust for awhile."

She nodded her head and turned to walk away,
"Mr. Hearst," the police officer turned to Caleb.
"It's very likely that Sloan will attempt something like this again, I suggest you take care of Miss Graham, keep an extra eye on her."
Caleb nodded his head as he shook the officers hand, "Will do."
Shortly after, Georgia came down with a bag slung over her shoulder and miffed look on her face, Caleb cringed the moment he realized that she'd seen the 's' carved into her bed sheet.

He extended his hand to her and she curled into him. He bid the officer goodbye before opening his car door for her and walked around himself. The drive was silent as both of them seemed to be consumed with their own thoughts. Entering into his pent house now, Caleb heard Georgia sigh and rest her bag on the counter before a few tears slipped her eyes. Upon seeing them Caleb rushed over and held her in his arms.

"Hey, hey, hey now." He hushed her and she buried her face into his shirt.
He sat down and pulled her into his lip and she curled up instantly settling on. Her sniffles echoed through the room and he continued to coo in her ear.
"Are you hungry?" He asked kissing the top of her forehead.
"Mhmm." She mumbled softly.
"I think I can cook some pasta if..."
She cut him off, "No order pizza so you don't have to move." She wined tightening her arms around his neck as she nuzzled back into him.

Caleb let out a throaty chuckle and nodded picking up his phone and dialing the pizza place. Georgia was still curled into him when the pizza arrived and had only gotten up to go get it. They ate in comfortable silence, neither one of them speaking until she broke the silence.
"You know what I just thought of Casanova" she was giggling to herself.
Caleb quirked his eyebrow at her behavior, "What?"
"The time when we went skinny dipping in the beach," she paused in a fit of giggles, "and when we came back out our clothes were gone."

Caleb groaned at the memory, "God! That was horrible!"
Georgia was cackling loudly, "We couldn't walk back to our hotel because of it."
Caleb was shaking his head starting to laugh with her, "I'm glad you find this funny now, at the time we were freaking out."
Georgia doubled over in laughter, "Do you remember the look on the old woman's face in the morning when she handed us the blanket."

Caleb winced, yup he remembered her look of disapproval at their two naked bodies as she slapped Caleb's head and proceeded to curse them out in Greek, to which both of them just sat stunned into silence.
"I remember it all too well." He smiled as her laughter finally died down.
"We had a good time, didn't we." She sighed, her voice soft.

Caleb nodded his head, they did have a good time, in fact an amazing time but it had all ended abruptly when she just disappeared and even though Caleb had somewhat moved on from what had happened, there was still an ounce of curiosity that yearned for an explanation for her actions that had completely tore his heart in two. It was then he decided that he needed to talk to Kingsley Pascall and finally find out what had happened five years ago.
