"Love, love."

O N W A R D S;

How was he?
The question was simple but his answer was not, he couldn't possibly describe to her what he was really feeling. It was a mixture of toxic emotions that were running around in his head, creating mayhem and trouble. The feelings just couldn't be put into words, what had happened to him over the last week or so was something he'd never even dreamt of happening so to answer her question he just said fine.

But judging by the look on her face Caleb knew she didn't believe him. But turned her attention back to her plate before her, "I never eat the food they bring me." She shrugs, "It taste metallic,"
"I've convinced one of my nurses to sneak me fries and burgers from across the street," she shook her head, "I don't know why I told you that." She said with honesty.
She turned her attention to him, her emerald colored eyes staring at him, "Tim says we should talk to each other, says that maybe there's a chance I could regain my memories."

Caleb nodded, "I know," he stared at her left leg that was propped up by two pillows and her right wrist that was in a brace.
"But before we do that," she paused, unsure if she should open her mouth, "I don't want you to feel forced to come see me so.. Caleb, you can leave if you want. You won't have to see me again if that's what you wish."

She twiddled with her fingers awaiting his response, she was letting him go, making sure he didn't end up feeling forced and oddly enough the need to understand or even know the reason why she left outweighed any thought of him leaving, he wouldn't leave until he knew.
"Do you remember the accident?" He asked, the question was her answer and she leaned back in her bed a certain relief replacing her features.

"I only remember seeing the bright lights of the truck barreling towards me and after nothing but waking up in this hospital bed and thinking of you." She was twiddling with her fingers again.
"Georgia," His voice came out hoarse, "What do you remember about me?"
She lifted her chin up, "I.... I.... I remember spending days with you in Greece, not specific days but..." she paused.
Caleb sighed, "Tell me,"

Caleb wasn't used to being nervous on dates but here he was shaking like an idiot in the restaurant that was far to expensive for a young man of his age to afford, but he'd made sure to swipe his father's credit card before running off on his little trip. His leg shook up and down in anticipation of her arrival.

'Georgia' was the name of the girl he'd be meeting and even though he'd been on millions of dates before something about this one made him nervous. Suddenly his eyes caught sight of her in pretty blue dress and he stood up awestruck at the sight of her, no woman had ever rendered him speechless before but this girl, she had just done that.

He pulled the chair out for her, "Hi." She smiled softly.
"You look beautiful." His bluntness had made a blush appear on her cheeks and he smirked.
"Thank you." She looked away and turned her attention to the pulled out chair in front of her.
As they sat across from each other Caleb grinned, "I hear the food here is amazing."
Georgia looked deep in thought as she took in the decor of the restaurant, "Looks expensive, are you sure it's okay."

"C'mon Georgia, relax, I told you it would be the best night of your life, didn't I?"
She shook her head smiling, "Yes, you did"
"Exactly and the best night of your life it will be."
She raised her eyebrow at his confidence, "We'll see about that Casanova."

Half way through the night Caleb realized she fit him like the last piece of a puzzle and now he couldn't possibly let her go—
"My college tour leaves in a few weeks but I'm staying in Greece for the next few months." She sipped her wine and smiled at him.
She ran her finger along the edge of the glass, "So tell me Caleb the painter, why are you in Greece?"

Caleb shrugged, "It's a secret."
She raised her eyebrows, "What, don't tell me you're a criminal on the most wanted list and you're hiding out in Greece because, that would totally spoil the night."
Caleb let out a full blown laugh, "So you are enjoying my company," he smirked.
She rolled her eyes, "What, me smiling at everything you say didn't give it away?"
He chuckled again, "Touché"

"But no, I'm not a criminal, but I am hiding away in Greece."
Her interest seemed to peek then, "I'm running from my dad."
"Why?" Her question was simple but talking about his father brought a sour taste in his mouth.
"We want different things."
She nodded, "I get the feeling of wanting to get away, my father won't let me go." She chuckled.

Caleb listened to her talk about how her father didn't even want her to go to Greece and that she had tried endlessly to get her to change her mind and stay home.
"It's like I'm still a baby." She chuckled.
Caleb's father was the opposite, he wanted his son to grow up too fast, he wanted him to take over the company when Caleb just wanted to live his life.

After dessert Caleb paid the bill and extended his hand to her. She looked at him quizzically but took his hand anyway. He led her down the street and into the city lights. He heard her sigh beside him, "Greece is beautiful, isn't it?"
"It is."
Suddenly she felt her turn the face him, "You're not what I expected."
Caleb raised his eyebrows, "What did you expect?"

She shrugged her shoulders, "The magazines don't do you justice, Mr. Hearst."
Caleb chuckled, "You recognized me."
She laughed, a pretty laugh, "My father collects business magazines, I knew I recognized you from somewhere. Thomas Hearst's only son, heir to Hearst Global."
Caleb shook his head, "That's me." He deadpanned.

She suddenly turned serious, "What? You don't want the company?"
He shrugged, "Well," she said offering him a small smile looking up at him, "You should follow your heart."

And he did, but look where that got him.

The memory came and was gone in a flash and he stared at Georgia as she finished reciting what she remembered.
"That was five years ago wasn't it?"
Caleb nodded, "Yes it was,"
"Long time." She sighed softly.
Caleb sighed at the time on his watch and she smiled at him, "You should probably be going, it's late."
Caleb stuffed his hands in his pockets and leaned back in his chair, "I'll be back soon."

At what he said her face lit up as he stood and reached for the door.
"I'll see you soon Casanova."
