Thanks to my writing sister (you know who you are...), I decided to join in on this challenge. I've never done this before, so I'm just kind of winging it! 

I'm attempting something completely different by writing a suspense novella with no fantasy elements. I will be using the Suspense Fiction Prompt #1 - Winter Sun:

The winter sun is shining low and bright. The tree in the middle of the field seems bent under the weight of something, forming a dark silhouette against the snow laden on its branches. A closer look reveals drops of splattered blood on the fresh snow...

The reason she suggested I join in this contest was because I had been itching to write some kind of hunting story, as I am a hunter myself. I was excited to share with the world what it is like to sit out in the bitter cold for hours, waiting for your prize to come into view.
