"Hi," Andrea said with a small wave.

I frowned. "I asked a question, Andrea. What are you doing here?"

"Can we talk?" She asked in a soft voice.

I opened my mouth to speak but I closed it when I felt Lucas's body press against my back. I saw Andrea's eyes widen at his sight and I did not miss the way her eyes swept over his bare body. I could not help but move to the side to cover up the rest of his body visible to her wandering eyes. She looked away and smiled.

"I told you not to come back to my house, Andrea. What the fuck are you doing here now?" Lucas demanded in a terse tone.

Andrea bowed her head and played with her fingers; a nervous gesture. I crossed my arms when she looked up and sighed.

"Can we talk inside, please?" She looked over her shoulder when people passed by, talking and laughing amongst themselves.

"Fine-"

"Jackie, why would you say that?" Lucas asked over my shoulder.

"She'll just say what she has to say and that's it," I said to him and he groaned behind me, making me smile. "Come in, Andrea."

She smiled at me and I stepped aside, dragging the stubborn man with me because he was not ready to move. Andres walked in and I closed the door then motioned for her to speak after we all went to the living room.

"I came to apologize for my behavior. It was wrong of me to say and do all those things I did to the both of you, especially you Jackie. I was just jealous and hurt. I saw how Lucas liked you and how he treated me and got angry. I know saying sorry won't make things better but I'm sorry."

I dropped my arms and carefully took in the expression. Sadness was all over her face and her eyes held honesty which was hard to believe, considering how cunning she could be. I still did not trust her though.

"How do you expect us to eat up the bullshit you just said?" Lucas asked.

"No, you don't have to. I just wanted to clear my conscience. I'm not the type of person I was with you guys, I don't know what came over me. I was just angry and jealous as I said before. Besides, I never liked Lucas like that. I was just glad to find a guy who was rich and had it all. All my life I was given luxury and felt he was going to be a good match for me. So, forgive me, guys," Andrea said and stepped forward, looking from me to Lucas.

"You don't expect us to welcome you or forgive you with our arms open, Andrea. What you did to Jackie still haunts my mind. You hurt her and I will not forgive anyone who touches a single hair on her body," he said, his voice hinting at strong emotions.

Andrea visibly stiffened and looked at her feet. Lucas can be scary and I knew he was serious about what he had said.

"Look, it's not going to take your words to just prove how sorry you are," I said and she nodded.

"I know and even asking to be your friend for real this time isn't going to be a good idea too," Andrea said and I stared at her like she was crazy.

Did she expect me to be friends with her after what she had done?

Before I could speak, the door opened and Axel walked in. When he saw us, he stood still, taking in every one of us with curiosity on his face.

"Hello," he said and shut the door. "What's happening?"

"Where have you been all day?" Lucas asked and his brother cleared his throat.

"Uh... I have something to tell you guys. Could we talk in the kitchen, please?" He pointed at the kitchen whilst subtle staring at Andrea.

"Sure," I said and made my way to the kitchen. Lucas and Axel followed suit while Andrea stood in the living room, looking around the place.

"Who's she?" Axel asked in a whisper, pointing his chin in Andrea's direction.

"She's one of your brother's ex-flings," I replied and Lucas rolled his eyes.

"What do you want to tell us?" Lucas asked, trying to change the subject.

"Oh, right. So, in the light of the recent incident, I decided to look into trying to find answers for myself because I don't think the cops will take this case seriously. I have been out trying to get contacts of people who can find pieces of evidence and all loopholes through Tony's death. I wasn't able to get anything yet but I made them try to find the set of guys who assaulted you that night," Axel said in a low voice.

"Were you able to?" I asked.

"Not yet but they did at first but found out their identities no longer exist, almost as if they never existed. There's been no trace of them at all," Axel explained and I leaned on the counter.

"Are you sure they are even still alive?" Lucas asked and his brother shrugged.

"We don't know that but I feel they are. If they were dead, there could have been some carbon footprint to show for it," Axel replied, seriousness heavy in his tone and facial expression.

"Maybe I know someone who can help you guys."

I turned around with shock all over me at the voice of Andrea. I raised an eyebrow out of curiosity because I had not been expecting her to have a say in our discussion.

"What's your business in what we are saying? Were you eavesdropping?" Lucas asked and I knew he had developed a great dislike for the woman.

"I... I can help you guys. Also, you weren't talking in a low voice. I could still hear you even when I tried to tune your voices out," Andrea replied, fidgeting with her hands.

"Who's she again?" Axel asked behind me.

I waved Axel's question aside with my hand and pressed my palms on the counter. Then nodded my head at Andrea who beamed at my motion.

"From what I heard, this seems to be a criminal case and I know someone good at his job. He can find a needle in an ocean for a limited time," Andrea said and approached us.

"Who?" Axel asked. "Because we don't just want someone who won't do the job to the max but someone who can provide concrete proof to back their claims."

Andrea smiled. "He's the right guy, I promise. Besides, he's my father and is a secret agent working in the CIA."

My mouth fell open at the revelation. I turned my head and saw shocked looks on Lucas's and Axel's faces. They met my eyes before we looked back at Andrea.

"How do we believe you or even trust you?" I asked.

"You don't have to. Just let me prove myself with this. Whatever this case is, my father can help. I swear to you, he's the best and I'm sure you'll find answers," Andrea replied and I faced the boys.

"What do you think?"

"Are you sure we can trust her? I mean, you two seem not to," Axel said.

"We have no choice right now. I think it's fine if we do. We need all the help we want. We'll accept her help but I won't trust her," Lucas said, scowling.

With the conclusion being made, I faced Andrea and took a deep breath. Whatever decision we make right now would affect us in the future at the same time, we needed to find help everywhere we needed.

"Alright, call him and tell him we need his help," I said.

"Awesome! I'll call him now and don't worry, you don't have to pay anything," Andrea said and took out her phone then moved toward the living room.

"I hope trusting this girl is the right thing for us," Axel said.
