Chapter Three

Kai's Pov

I woke up to the smell off eggs, bacon, and turkey sausage. The sun was beaming straight into my window making my wall a glowing orange shade. Is he really making breakfast? I mean I'm not complaining.

I like a men that can cook, let alone breakfast. That's like my favorite meal of the day. I got out of bed and began to pick out my outfit for class today.

I decided to go simple today, which was a plain white T-shirt with a black belt and blue jeans and some white Nike's.

I lay them out on the edge of my bed and walked in my bathroom I did my morning routine I do everyday and took a hot steamy shower.

After I got out I put on my clothes and grabbed my book bag. I walked downstairs and saw Payton making bacon.

He had on his varsity jacket looking all kinds of sexy and dominant. "Good morning good lookin, sleep well?" He asked.

"Yeah, I slept pretty well, it's nothing like my bed at home, but I can adapt to it. How was your sleep?" I asked sitting down in the kitchen island sipping on the glass of orange juice that I believe Payton left out for me.

"Oh it was amazing, now that I know that I don't have an asshole as a roommate...I have a sweetheart." He said.

He grabbed the eggs and put some on my plate, followed by sausage and two strips of bacon. He put the same amount on his plate as well. He put the pans in the sink and sat right next to me.

"Today's your first day of college. You excited?" He asked. "Yes, I'm actually more excited more than I should be, because I always wanted to go to college here, ever since I was twelve." I said. "Aw, that's cute." He smirked.

I can't help but to blush in front of Payton. He just has this charm about him that makes me have butterflies in the pit of my stomach. I haven't felt like this since...

Nevermind...

"What zodiac sign are you Payton?" I asked him. "I'm a Scorpio." He answered. I nodded. "You know...Scorpios have this charm that people just can't resist, and also we're freaky as hell." He said that close to my ear, which gave me goosebumps and shivers down my spine.

"What sign are you?" He asked me. "I'm a Gemini." I said.

"Ouuu, you Gemini's have two personalities...y'all crazy." He chuckled, which made me chuckle.

"Yeah, were crazy, but we're also loyal no matter what." I said. "That's good to know, specially about you." He said. I looked into his eyes and it was like a fresh clear pool of honey. It was stunning.

After we finished our breakfast we gathered our things for school and headed out. I began walking on the sidewalk until Payton stopped me with his big strong hands.

"Where do you think you're going?" He said, giving me a focused look. "Walking to school? I can't do that?" I asked.

"No, because there be assholes that pulls pranks on the freshman their first day. For now on you're riding in my car, got it?" He said.

I nodded quickly. "Alright." I replied. The way he was in control and told me that I was gonna ride in his car for now on, really turned me on a bit.

I like when men are in control and wears the pants in the relationship. Of course I wear the pants in the relationship too but not often.

"Good, now get in the car, we're gonna be late." He said as he walked to the passenger side of the car and opened the door for me.

"Thanks." I said getting in the car. He closed the car door and got on his side and we drove off to campus.

Holy shit, this place looks a lot bigger when I took a tour of the campus a year ago. Payton parked in a parking spot that says.. 'Reserved for Payton James'

"You have a parking spot of your own?" I asked in a shocked tone. "Yeah, I'm a pretty big deal around here, didn't know you were roommates with the popular guy on campus huh?" He smirked. "I mean I had a feeling." I said.

"Liar." He smiled and chucked, showcasing those pearly whites. We got out and we began walking inside the building together.

Everyone was either, hugging Payton or handshaking Payton. I was just that guy that was right next to him.

"What class do you have first?" He asked. I reached in my backpack and grabbed my schedule.

"I have English first." I said. "What about you?" He grabbed his schedule and looked at it. "I have stupid ass algebra." He frowned.

"Don't worry, I could always help you with algebra, I'm really good at it." I said. He looked at me and smiled.

"You really help me? I can be a bit difficult when it comes to math." He said.

"Don't worry I have a thirteen year old brother, and I helped him with his homework, and he was difficult too, I'm a really patient individual." I said.

"Thanks Kai, I know I just meet you yesterday, but you seem down to earth. I like that." He said getting close to my face.

"No problem." I could smell his breath, it smelled like peppermint with a hint of bacon.

We were looking into each other's eyes for a good minute until we heard two girls scream.

"PAYTON!!!!!" They both said and ran up to him with open arms almost tackling him.

"We missed you so much Payton!" This girl with hair that went all the way down to her back said. I looked at Payton and he just had the biggest smile on his face. "I missed you guys too! How was Hawaii?" He asked.

"Oh my god, it was literally the best trip ever. It's nice to go back to your roots you know?" This girl with short hair said.

Then the girls looked at me, giving me a blank stare. "Oh! Uh, guys this is Kai Jackson. He's my new roommate, and Kai, these are my best friends Vanessa and Chandler Ash." He said.

"It's nice to meet you Kai, you're really cute." Chandler said.

"Thank you." I said. "You know it's about time Payton got a roommate. We were jealous when he had a whole house to himself." Vanessa said. "Shut up, Nessa." He chuckled.

"What? It's true. Anyways, what class do you have first Kai?" She asked me.

"English." Both Vanessa and Chandler screamed in excitement. "Oh my god we're gonna be the best of friends. We need to add another member to our friend group." Chandler said. "Well I'm down for anything." I smiled.

"Awesome, we all need to get your phone number and social media at lunch time and everything." Vanessa said.

The bell rang, signaling it was time for first hour. "Well I'll see you guys at lunch...especially you Kai." Payton said as he winked at me and walked away.

"Ouuuu!!!!!" Both Vanessa and Chandler said.

"Looks like our Payton got his eyes set on a certain someone." Vanessa said nudging my shoulder.

"You think so?" I said.

"Honey, once Payton has his eyes on someone, he will go till the ends of the earth to impress that person." Chandler said.

"Our baby Payton loves hard, he loves so hard that it's ridiculous." She said.
