Chapter Forty-Five

Kai's Pov

New Years Eve

"Awww look, Onika wants to play with her Aunt Norrie." Mom said.

"It sounds so weird. For Norrie to already be a aunt." I said.

"Yeah, because you couldn't keep it in your pants." Mom said.

"Let's just call them cousins instead." I said. Holding Onika while she was sitting in my lap trying to get to Normani.

"Agreed." When my mom got out of the hospital and brought Normani home, she saw me holding her granddaughter and she began balling. I told her everything that went down and she was just happy that she could see her granddaughter.

Currently, it's 11:29 and we're watching tv, waiting for the ball to drop. Man, 2018 was a emotional rollercoaster. My baby mama passed away from giving birth, I couldn't see my baby girl, I met Payton, I found out that Payton has schizophrenia, I told him about my past with my ex, I punched this guy named Archie in the nose cause he was touching me, I got chocked out and slapped by Payton because he forgot to take his meds and I was lowkey embarrassing him, I threw a golden marble at Payton's aunt, I got my ass beat by three of Payton's hoes, I met my real family, found out Marcus and Bryson were messing around, I beat Bryson's ass, my baby sister was born, and last but not least I got my daughter back.

I think I just said everything in order.

I hope that 2019 is full of positive vibes only.

"Let me hold Nika?" Payton said. I handed her to Payton and they were just having a ball together. We never went back to that conversation about adopting. I guess Onika is filling that space of him having a baby to play with. He always changes her diaper and he never lets me do it....never. As much as changing diapers stinks, I still want to do it, but Payton likes doing it so I let him be. I always get jealous because Onika laughs more with Payton than me. It's like damn I'm your daddy not him, but as long as Onika is happy I don't care.

"Uhh ohhhhh Onika has a poopy diaper." He said in a high tone, making her laugh. He got up and went to go change her diaper.

"I still don't understand why were at home, when we could be at time square with everyone else." Marcus said.

"Because there's too many damn people there, I don't have time to be squished and have all that body heat all over me. No thank you." Mom said.

"How about I take him mom." I said.

"You sure? It's cold as hell out there." Dad said.

"Guys, I grew up here my whole life, the cold means nothing to me. Marcus get your coat and shoes. We have to hurry up before the ball drops." I said getting my shoes and coat.

"Where are you guys going?" Payton asked, just finishing changing Onika.

"We're going to watch the ball drop in time square. Grab your coats if you want to come, bring my girl along too." I said. I grabbed the keys, and helped put Onika's little pink coat on.

"Be safe out there you guys." Mom said.

I picked Onika up and we were all out the door. I gave Payton the keys and we all got in. Payton made sure everyone was secured and started the car and we were on our way to time square.

"So is this it? You just stand out here and wait? There's no snack bar?" Payton asked, looking around.

"Babe, you're a Cali boy so over here is a lot different, but I'm pretty sure there's a snack bar somewhere. You just gotta go through all these people." I chuckled.

"Naw I'm good on that chief." Payton said, which makes me laugh. Onika began to cry.

"Oh no my little baby." I said rocking her.

"Hey where's her pacifier?" I ask.

"Right here." Payton said grabbing it from the baby bag he brought. He put it insiders mouth and she immediately stopped crying. She then but her head on my shoulder.

"When is this damn ball going to drop?" Marcus said.

"Don't get a attitude now, you're the one that wanted to come here." I said. He just rolled his eyes. A few minutes pass and everyone began cheering because we were about to count down.

"1!"

"HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!" The ball finally dropped and confetti was everywhere. I looked at Payton and I gave him a New Years kiss. We looked at Onika and we both gave her a New Years kiss on both sides of her chubby cheeks. Marcus came over and gave Onika a kiss on the cheek as well.

May 2019 be one of the best years of my life.

Meanwhile in San Diego...

Ashton's Pov

"Why the fuck does this Payton guy obsess over Kai so much? He's honestly not that hot if we're being honest." Archie said. I looked at him scrolling through his Instagram.

"Stop scrolling through my mans Insta." I said. On my computer in Payton's room. I collected all the hidden cameras and put them all in my hard drive, but the one that will really take the cake, will be when Kai fucked Payton for the first time. I know all about Kai's little past and how his dead girlfriends parents thought Kai raped her. Well from what I can see from this...sex tape. It looks like Kai was "sexually assaulting" Payton even though in reality they were having a good time....

And I fucking hate it.

I will make it my mission for Kai to be the most hated person here at San Diego University. I got the video and what I plan to do with it is to send it to every single student anonymously and title it...

"I don't care, just do what you have to do." I said. As soon as I made the finishing touches with the video I was done.

"Kai. Your world will officially be turned upside down. I just hope you can handle it." I said and I hit send.

"Can you suck my dick now?" Archie said. I got up and pushed him on Payton's bed.

"How about you fuck me on Payton's bed." I said.

"Fuck yeah." He took his clothes off and began to take mines off by ripping my shirt and shorts and underwear. Then we began to fuck.
