3 days later.
December 22

"What the hell is wrong with you? Can't you do a task properly?" Jungkook harshly slammed the file which he was holding on the ground of his office corridor and glared at his secretary.

Sejin flinched visibly and took a step back. "Sorry sir, I'm just going to do it and you came so I gave you this file first."

Jungkook glanced up and roared. "I told you to arrange a meeting with Mr Park Taemin and you're just giving me the shareholders report. Have you left your goddamn brain in the Hawaiian Islands?" His eyes traced his secretary when he picked up the abandoned file from the floor and mouthed him 'sorry'. "Now come with me, it's already twelve." Jungkook stormed into the conference room and threw a blank look towards the people sitting around a broad mahogany table. Sejin stood behind his boss as he sat, hesitating to take his seat beside this fiery meteor.

Namjoon calmly spoke, he was best at it. "Jungkook, do you want to check our annual sales list first?" He opened a particular page in his laptop and moved the screen towards his boss.

"No," A low growl left as he massaged his temples, "I get a Goddamn migraine every time I check that sales list. Just take it away from my sight."

"But this meeting is about year-end sales and workers management. We have only a day left before Christmas holidays." Namjoon had no idea what was going on inside his boss's head. He seemed stressed.

"Hyung please don't make me repeat my every word." Jungkook was annoyed, his brows were drawn together, clearly showing his distaste. He crossed his legs and leaned backwards.

Seokjin couldn’t hold back his snort. "Oh Jungkook, why are you acting like an injured soldier? You've just lost a secretary, not your one leg."

"What did you say?" Jungkook frowned in disbelief. "You're talking about him again? I can't believe this."

"What is here to not believe? You're acting like a brat, ever since you kicked him out. You want to yell at everyone, just so you can have someone to blame your anger on." Seokjin smugly snorted this time. He would never allow any Eeny-meeny-miny-moe to talk harshly with his boyfriend. Jungkook could funk with his angry soul, but none could make his baby Joonie upset. "If Taehyung was this important in your life then why didn't you give him a chance to prove himself?"

"Don't argue with me hyung." When he was too pissed to think straight, he slammed his hands over the table and stood straight. "I'm telling each and everyone present here. Listen carefully. Nobody will ever mention him again in my office. Is this clear?" He lingered his glare on each and every person sitting there like he was challenging them to not talk about a taboo.

Nobody in the room talked back. Jin crossed his arms and looked away, Namjoon sighed. Danial was pressing his lips tightly to stop himself from smiling, Sejin slowly held the handle of his chair to sit; he wasn't Jungkook's bodyguard after all and the other four employees just nodded silently.

"Jungkook, shall we now start the discussion?" Namjoon started talking after a pause. "There will be a five days Christmas leave after tomorrow and our workers are already in a Christmas mood. As this year we can't celebrate it grandly, we decided to skip that but our workers said they will be happy with a small party."

Jungkook rubbed his two fingers over his lips, he did that whenever he was into deep thoughts: it became a habit of him. "Do we have money for that? Our sales are continually dropping and dad is no more with us."

"Don't worry about that. They want a small party, not a big one. We don't need to hire a big party hall. We can do it in our office, when the gift vouchers will be given away."

Jungkook nodded uncertainty. The rest of the meeting went well, but the low mood of his boss didn't go unnoticed by everyone. Namjoon decided to stay with him after everyone left. Jin mouthed him to come to his room soon, he might have something to say and Namjoon beckoned him to wait for five minutes.

Jungkook wasn't in a mood to attend a party, but his workers wanted to do it so had to go there and act happy. Thinking about happiness- he sighed.

"You ok?" Namjoon offered him a glass of water, he took it from him and gulped down the whole thing.

"I don't know." He really didn't know.

Namjoon faintly smiled, "You're the head of a multinational company. More than six hundred people work under you. How can you not know?"

"I'm a failure hyung." Jungkook put his elbows on the table. Resting his head on his knuckles, he let his confined thoughts out. "I thought business is just some rules, which you have to follow step by step. I thought if I'm qualified enough, the success would kiss my toes, but after my dad's death I realized that I'm not worthy of anything. I'm just a big failure."

"No you're not." Namjoon came closer and slowly ran his warm fingers over his locks. It broke his heart to see the younger like this.

"I wish I could." Jungkook softly spoke. The bossy Jungkook was lost inside a castle of agony. "At this moment I'm not thinking about myself, I'm thinking about my dad's reputation. He squished his last drop of blood and sweat to build this company, if anything goes wrong tomorrow, people will say, 'look this is Jeon Jaehyun's son, a loser who couldn't even handle his father's well established company'. Hyung, I'll be drowning dragging my dad's reputation, his name." His voice cracked as he spoke.

"Don't pressurise yourself. You're doing fine. Trust me." Namjoon could only give him some courage to console him. Broken Jungkook was scarier than bossy Jungkook.

"I don't think I can trust anyone anymore." He sighed.

Namjoon knew the reason behind those words, "Why didn't you talk with Taehyung? Maybe he had a purpose."

Jungkook suddenly got tempered, he pushed his assistant's hands away, "I told you to not mention him. He-"  just broke his trust, broke him.

Namjoon raised his hands in surrender. "Ok I won't. Just take a break from work. You need a break." Not receiving any response from the younger man, he continued, "Jungkook, should I book a flight to London? You can meet your friends there. Or Tokyo?"

But Jungkook denied, "Hyung, I don't want to go anywhere. I just… Can you please leave me alone for some moment?" His eyes pleaded.

Namjoon made a wordless noise of agreement and reached for his laptop. "Sure. Take some rest." He closed the room and moved towards his boyfriend's room.

"What took you so long?" Seokjin put down the coffee he was sipping as the door opened. He was holding an opened book on his lap. The colour of his grey suit pants was creating an elegant contrast between the colour of his leather couch and grey lampshade beside him. "That Romeo was crying again?"

"No he's just upset." Namjoon sat beside him, a little closer than usual.

"I knew it." Seokjin shrugged and closed the book he was reading. He just got enough pretext to divert his mind from reading. "That boy has some serious anger issues. He doesn't want to listen to anyone."

"It's not like that. He's good with his own way. He's just trapped inside his own kingdom." Namjoon's optimistic mind couldn't see anyone's fault, which was also his minus point because his boyfriend didn't like it.

"Stop taking his side. If he's bad, you should say him bad." Spoke Seokjin firmly.

The other man chuckled, "You two act like siblings."

"Siblings?" His eyes got doubled, nose flared like a mama dragon, "If he was my brother I might have punched him right there."

"You look cute when you get angry." When your boyfriend gets angry, always praise him—Namjoon believed in this phrase.

"Really?" Seokjin smiled, batting his eyelashes.

"Yes sweetheart." Namjoon gave a soft smooch on his cheek.

"You look cute when you try to flirt with me." He winked and I punched his boyfriend playfully with his paws, he became so cute when he did that.

"Ah my heart!" Namjoon put his hands on his chest and made a fake pained expression, this made the other man laugh loudly.

A good minute of laughing and flirting with his boyfriend, Seokjin got serious again, "Listen, I talked with Sejin about what happened that day. He gave me a detailed description."

"Oh."

Sensing his full attention on him, Seokjin continued, "I have a strong feeling that something is not right. If Taehyung wanted to steal this company's money, then why didn't he make the amount double or run away with that money? Didn't he know Jungkook will come to know about this sooner or later?"

Namjoon was confused too but he spoke what he thought, "I thought about this too but you know in human psychology, cunning people act stupid sometimes. Maybe he thought Jungkook would never know, or when he comes to know, he will make another story."

Seokjin didn't like the idea. "Make it make sense Joonie, I mean that boy was not that dumb. Another thing, I was checking the cctv footage of that day but some clips are missing, mostly the elevator and the corridor clips."

"Maybe Taehyung removed it. The meeting with Mr Zung ran more than two hours. He had plenty of time to go in the basement and do that without anyone knowing."

Seokjin took some time to answer this time, "Maybe, but why was he running around in the canteen like a child? The cctv clips of the canteen showing that he went there to take a sandwich and coffee. If he was planning something crucial, why would he need food at that time?"

"Are you suspecting this was done by another person?" Namjoon asked, looking deep down his eyes.

"I still have no idea. It would be better if the police took charge in this case but Jungkook doesn't want to involve the police into this so-" He shrugged looking down, then held his boyfriend's hands, spoke softly, "Actually I did something which I can't tell you now."

"What? What did you do?" Namjoon was curious.

He shaked his head lightly, "I told you that I can't tell you now. This is still in process. You have so much work before tomorrow's celebration. I don't want you to think about anything else."

A typical mysterious boyfriend, but Namjoon liked it. "Ok I'll wait."

"Perfect."

And they kissed.

December 23. Evening.

Christmas celebrations in jeon automobiles had always been so fancy. Big lights, colourful banners, balloons, cakes and orchestra. The mood became festive when the CEO distributed the gifs among the workers. From high salary employees to watchmen, all of them became a family.

But this year, as their respected CEO Mr Jeon Jaehyun was no more between them, the glory was dimmed. Everyone was smiling but none was laughing like earlier years. Their mood enlightened and they clapped when the current CEO joined them in the party. Jungkook told them to enjoy the food and beverage and came near the stage where a big table was decorated just for the directors and the CEO.

"Hey jungkook I was waiting for you." One of the board of directors and Jungkook's mother's cousin Mr Junghwa hugged him.

"Hello uncle Junghwa." Jungkook hugged back but didn't smile.

"Sir you're looking amazing today." Daniel was there with Junghwa, he complimented him with a wide smile.

Jungkook was indeed looking good in a white party blazer and white shirt, but his mood was the same old professor Snape type. "Did you bring all the gift vouchers?"

"Yes sir." Daniel excitedly said and pointed at the table on the stage, "I decorated the table and divided them according to the gift money."

"Ok. Let me recheck." Jungkook went to the stage and started checking those cards. Daniel helped him. Sejin was in the food department, like every year he was serving the workers with his own hands.

"Good evening Jungkook." Seokjin threw a smile and sat just beside him. He was looking so relaxed and refreshed. Junghwa and Minho greeted him and took their chairs on the stage beside Seokjin.

"Good evening sir." Namjoon came after him. He was the main host of this ceremony. He stood before the microphone. Jungkook just bowed to him slightly.

"Everyone is here Mr Song?" Jungkook asked when the head of the labour union joined them smilingly.

"Yes sir. Everyone is happy with this idea of gift vouchers." The middle aged man was beaming with excitement and respect.

Seokjin got a chance to tease Jungkook, "Too bad the man behind the idea couldn't be here with us." His voice laced with sarcasm. Jungkook just returned him an annoyed glare.

"Excuse me Jungkook I think we should start giving away the gift cards now." Junghwa suggested him to start the ceremony, he had a plan with some girls, on God knew where.

"I have some things to say." Seokjin bounced up on his toes and went near the microphone. He took his boyfriend's hand, made him sit on his chair and looked at the confused Jungkook. "This company is so big, Nurturing so many people and their families. I want to show them my earnest regard for the people who created the company and the people who are maintaining the growth."

"What a thoughtful idea Seokjin sir." Mr Song encouraged him. Seokjin smiled.

"It's so sweet of you Jin sir." Daniel spoke excitedly, grinning.

"Thank you Daniel." Seokjin grinned back and took the microphone in his hands, his voice chimed through the hall like a sweet windbell. "Attention everyone, please look at the screen, I want to show you something important. Enjoy today's show everyone."

At the same moment the big screen behind the stage started showing a video, more like a bunch of memories. The founder Mr Jeon Jaehyun's smile looking at the factory workers; his small recorded moments of working in the office; his first Christmas celebration with the workers and his family; holding hands with his beautiful wife and kid Jungkook; some clips of his factory him wearing a helmet while assembling the car engine and his never forgettable speeches, motivating words which he said to his people.

Jungkook's eyes glittered with proud tears. His dad, his mom, his family was there, but alas! He couldn't hold them, hug them. He waved his eyes to the audience, they were all quietly looking at the screen. Some of them wiped their cheeks and smiled sadly; Jungkook felt so proud: proud to be a part of this company. He gained back his lost confidence to run this company. He felt an urge to protect this company for these people, for his people.

Suddenly the screen went blank, only some noises could be heard. Everyone was still on a dase but the words coming out of the speakers were completely opposite than they expected.

"What took you so long to come here?" A person spoke, more like growled.

"What do you mean? I told you to be careful." The second person's voice could be heard clearly.

"I was careful." Again the first person spoke.

2nd- "Give me my money and those stupid gift vouchers.

Jungkook was confused at first like most of the people in this room, in the corner of his eyes he saw Seokjin was smirking, looking directly at him: Then it occurred to him, what was happening here.

1st- "Here take it but you said twenty five percent is mine. So I took out my hundred thousand won from here."

2nd- "You're so greedy."

Jungkook fisted his palms under the table as he recognized the person behind those words.

1st- "Not more than you. By the way your boss believed you this easily?"

2nd- (snorted then chuckled)"What do you think? He's as stupid as his secretary. Oops, ex-secretary. He believed me blindly when I said the ink eraser was that boy's."

Jungkook thought he went deaf for a second.

1st- (worried) "I don't know why I'm doing this for you."

2nd- "Because you don't have any other choice. Your sex tape with your CEO's wife is still with me. I can send it to him anytime if I wish."

1st- "No Daniel please! I need this job."

2nd- (chuckled again)"Just joking. See you later Bomgu."

The room went silent after the speaker stopped. Everyone in the room was speechless.

Seokjin's voice over the microphone echoed through the hallroom. "Kang Daniel-ssi, can you explain this to us?" Every single eye in the room searched for the specific person named Kang Daniel.

His heart in his hands, Daniel started running towards one of the exit doors. "Catch him. Here he is." Someone screamed from the audience.

Some factory workers caught him at once, holding tightly in their arms they threw some solid punches all over his body, "What did you think you're doing mister?" One of them said, "You called our boss stupid?" Another said after punching his nose, "You moron!"

When Jungkook came, the crowd moved to give him a way. Namjoon and Seokjin followed him. Jungkook didn't talk first, just threw some angry punches on his already blooded face. Every single thud gave him some inner peace. "I've never thought an experienced and trusted employee like you can do such a reckless thing."

"Jungkook stop." Seokjin pulled his hand to stop him. "The police are here. Let them take him away." Some police entered right away and locked his hands. Seokjin gave a sharp look at Mr Kang Daniel, who was looking back at him angrily. "Calling the police was your idea, right Danial-ssi?"

"But I need answers." Jungkook roared. "Tell me why and when you changed the check? Answer me."

"I'll answer you if you let me go." Daniel was panting heavily, didn't expect the things would change like this.

Jungkook smirked bitterly at him, "Officer, take him away and make sure that he can't get himself out before ten years."

"Nooo! Let me go, you all are falsely accusing me." Daniel sounded like someone who had a large size rod shoved right into his ass.

"I can spare you some years if you answer me right now." Jungkook I was on the brink of killing him on the spot.

Daniel turned his eyes around, so many people were looking at him. There was no escape. "Sir please. I'm telling you. Please spare me." He clasped his crafted  hands together, begging for some mercy.

"Alright. Tell me how and why did you do it?" Jungkook wanted to hear everything, knowing that at the end he would be the stupidest person here.

Daniel gulped some spit, his stomach and face was bruised, sore but he had to speak the truth. "I- I had no idea about the check. I just wanted to bully him and
