"I'm not the person who gives second chances."

(Y/n) nearly jumped out of her skin when Levi suddenly spoke to her as they're walking through the front garden in Ackerman's residence to get inside.  She bites the insides of her cheeks, "Yes sir, I'm completely aware of that.." (Y/n) trails a bit, still confused at where this conversation is going.

"But just this time, for you," Levi halts suddenly on his tracks, and turns to her, "I'll give another chance."

"Uh.. sir ?"

"You should be grateful, because this offer won't come again," He demands, "I'll even promote you to be a director,"

"What ?? Sir, that's-"

"If that's too much work, I'll hire someone to help you. And the company will provide you with a car too. If you want, I could even get a house for you with my money. Or how about I take care of your debt and loan too ?

(Y/n) is immensely confused by her boss' sudden... outburst ? He became talkative about pursuing her to keep working. If this keeps up, at this rate, (Y/n) will eventually snap, so she tries to get her irked emotions under control, "With all due respect sir, I-"

"I can confidently tell you that you won't get this kind of treatment elsewhere."

Her eyebrows twitch and her lips begin to form an unpleasant sullen. Again, Levi interrupted her.

"So you better shut your mouth and take my offer, then keep working for me." He finished.

(Y/n) inhales, 'You and your attitude.. God.. I'm so eager to leave the company now..'

"Listen, Mr. Ackerman-"

"Levi !" A voice called from a distance, "Ah, Ms. (L/n) ! You're here too !"

A woman in her mid 60s approaches them, accompanied with two butlers behind her. "Aah.. my son, how have you been ?" The black haired woman hugs the grumpy vice president, and he returns the hug.

"Good."

"Let's get inside. Come on, you two."

They end up in the dining room.

Levi's sitting beside his secretary. Across from their seats behind the dining table, there sat Kuchel Ackerman, Levi's mother, and Kenny Ackerman, Kuchel's brother. As known as Levi's uncle.

Two servants has just finished putting their newly made meals on the table and they left.

As they're about to eat, (Y/n) glances at her boss to see that his tie is crooked. Tilting her body a little, she stretches out her arms to reach his tie and begin to fix it. Levi, who was busy placing a napkin on his lap, stopped as (Y/n) fixed his tie.

"I told you to visit often. We're in the same building, so why is it so hard to get a glimpse of you ?" Kenny threw a question at his nephew.

"I was busy because of an occurrence of Director Lobov."

"Director Lobov ? You mean the one you just fired ? Damn, that was a waste of talent. Did you really have to-"

"It only takes a second to ruin our company's image. You left the company to me so let me take care of it in my own way." Levi plainly replied with an unfazed stare.

Kuchel nods, "Yes, yes, you're doing well, Levi." She beamed, then she glares at her brother, "Let him be, Kenny. Like my son won't do a good job." A hint of sarcasm was heard in her voice.

Kenny let out a raspy laugh, "Right. I guess I was being a bit rash with this little runt. Let’s eat !"

"Ms. (L/n)," Kuchel smiles sweetly at the woman beside Levi, "Please help yourself, eat a lot okay ?"

(Y/n) nods softly, "Thank you, I will."

"By the way.." The long black haired woman props her chin on her palm, leaning forward a little, "Don't you think Levi has gotten more handsome ?" She asked (Y/n) with a teasing smile.

"...uhhh-"

Levi puts down his fork, "Mom, since I respect you, I appreciate your attempt to compliment me, but the food in front of you is getting colder. Better eat it now."

"Aww you're so sweet." His mom cooed, before shoving a piece of salad in her mouth.

The calming sound of plates making contact with the eating utensils filled the room as they eat their fill in comfortable silence. But sadly, it doesn't last long.

"Say, Ms. (L/n)."

Levi keeps eating, but he sends his uncle a cold glare.

"Yes sir ?" (Y/n) stops eating as she pays attention to Levi's uncle, as known as, the president, chairman of the Ackerman company.

Kenny smirks, "Don't you think this runt has gotten shorter ?"

"Uh.."

"Fuck you and your-" Levi began to spat but was cut off by his mother.

"Boys.. Keep your manners under control." Kuchel scolds them both, heaving small sigh, "As for you, Ms. (L/n), I hope you don't mind having tea with me after this." She turns to (Y/n) with a more relaxed face.

"Yes Mrs. Ackerman. It's my pleasure to accompany you." The (h/c) haired woman nods.

----- TIME SKIP AFTER LUNCH ------

"So, about my son.."

The elderly woman glances at the interlocutor who's sitting across from her, with a cup of tea on her lap.

"I heard he brings girls to parties here and there, but it doesn't last long. I also heard that it's all just a show for the public. Is this true ?"

(Y/n) smiles nervously, glancing down at her lap, "Yes, well.. That's how he is."

"That's not just it, I also heard he doesn't even let girls lay a finger on him. Is this really true ?" Kuchel asked again. Eager to confirm some things about her only son.

Letting out a polite chuckle, (Y/n) nods, "Yes, Mrs. Ackerman. It's true."

"S-so.."

"Is my son actually.. g-g.. ga.."

The secretary tilts her head in confusion, "..ga ?"

"g..g..ga-" Kuchel struggles to speak the word, fear is getting the best of her right now. Her hands trembled, so does her teacup in her grasp.

Upon seeing Kuchel stammering and trembling, (Y/n) got an idea of what Kuchel actually wants to say.

"Ah, you mean gay ?"

There, she guessed.

As soon as that word came out from (Y/n)'s mouth, Kuchel's eyes widen in horror and she let out a gasp.

"Oh God," (Y/n) stifles her laugh while shaking her head, "No, he's not."

"Ms. (L/n).." Kuchel's breath sounds shaky, thus her voice came out just above a whisper, "Are you sure ?"

She nods, "Of course, I've been knowing your son for a long time. I almost know him more than anyone else."

"That's a relief.." Kuchel puts her hand on her chest, "To be honest, Kenny and I never mentioned about it but we were actually very worried. My son never let his guard down to any girls except you."

"Aaah I see why you're worried."

Suddenly, the look of worry disappears from Kuchel's face and is replaced by a teasing look, "Sooo.. How's he ? From a woman's perspective ?"

(Y/n) goes silent for a few seconds,

"I guess he's simply the best. His abilities, his personality, his passion for cleaning-"

She quickly shuts her mouth in realization, 'Wait.. what am I saying..?' But (Y/n) manages to continue, "He's just perfect in every field." She ends it with a nervous smile.

"I know rightt ? That's my son for you." Kuchel unconsciously makes proud of her son, "You do really know how to tell if a man is good or not !" She beams.

"I really wish... someone will snatch my son up.."

"Someone... like you, Ms. (L/n)."

(Y/n)'s head snaps up, utterly catching her by surprise, "Eh..?"

'Did I hear that correctly ?'

Kuchel quickly realized what she just said and let out a jittery laugh while rising her hand to cover her mouth a little, "Ah, pardon me Ms. (L/n). It just slipped out you know ?"

"But..." Kuchel starts again, "I'd really marry him off now, to a girl like you-"

This time, (Y/n)'s mouth goes agape and her eyes widen a little upon what Kuchel just blurted out.

"J-just kidding ! I..I- swear, funny right ? Hahahaha.." The elderly woman fanned herself with her palm while letting out a forced laugh to make it look less serious.

(Y/n) laughs along nervously before checking her wristwatch to see that it's time to go.

"Ah, it looks like vice president Ackerman needs me to go back to the office soon. Thank your for inviting me to have a tea, Mrs. Ackerman." (Y/n) stands up from the sofa she was previously sitting on, "Well then, please excuse me, ma'am." She bows.

Kuchel sends her off with a warm smile, "It's nothing, dear. Thank you for accompanying me, have a good day at work !"

----- On their way back to the company ------

"Did my mother make you feel uncomfortable ?"

(Y/n) shifts on her seat, "Well, uh.. It seemed like she was trying to set me up with you, sir."

"I see."

Silence...

"Did you secretly get your hopes up ?"

As if all of the oxygen is taken away from her lungs, (Y/n) chokes on her own breath, 'Why the hell is he asking about that ?' She quickly clears her throat.

"Nope. I only reassured myself that I should really quit before the misunderstandings grow, sir." (Y/n) confidently answered her boss' question.

Levi steals a glance at her, "..What ?" An utter confusion written on his face, "But I thought we already talked that out. You know that's an offer you can't pass up on. Don't regret your decisions, I warn you."

"I know sir. I'm aware that the conditions you're offering are extremely extraordinary. But I'm still quitting."

"Sorry Mr. Ackerman, but you can't convince me." (Y/n) sends him an apologetic smile.
