A relaxing atmosphere fills the cafe as four ladies meet up and have a chit chat after a long time being busy and unable to see each other.

"What's gotten into you ? The 'oh so busy Secretary (L/n)' meeting up with us ?"

Giggles erupted from the girls' mouths. Including the mentioned one earlier.

(Y/n) stirs her iced tea, sending her friends a playful glare, "Geez, sorry. So don't leave me out from now on, okay ? I have lots of free time now !"

"You were even on the news too ! I saw you standing next to that famous vice president !" Nanaba exclaims with a teasing look on her face.

"Girl, you were amazing !"

Yelena calmly takes a sip of her steaming tea, "that's right. But then again, she had the best grades when we were still in high school, and now she lived her life to the fullest. She deserves it."

"A-ah no it's nothing, really !" (Y/n) couldn't help but scratch the back of her neck shyly.

"Uh huh, she's our working girl." Frieda pipped in, "waaa I'm so jealous.. I feel old and useless ughh."

Nanaba raises an eyebrow, "Hey, at least you have a better life. Look at me, raising a kid, earning money.." Her blue eyes landed on the secretary, "(Y/n), don't ever get married." She winked.

"Yeah don't get married !"

"Eeh ? Why not ?" (Y/n) laughs, amused by her friends' antics.

"All the girls who got married always say that, don't they ?" The three girls turn to Yelena, who's taking this marriage topic in a calm and composed manner.

Even though she rarely does this, the tall blonde woman smiles softly, "Just believe in your decision whether you want to marry someone or not."

"Sorry to say this but I gotta go now, bye girls- OH !!"

Frieda, who had stood up to take her leave, accidentally bumps into an empty chair that has (Y/n)'s bag on it, which end up scattering its contents "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry." The long black haired woman begins to pick up (Y/n)'s belongings and put them back inside the bag.

(Y/n) rises from her seat to help Freida tidying up the mess from the bag, but..

"Oh, what's this ?"

The secretary can only smile nervously.

"A handkerchief for men, tissue, necktie, a lighter, mini windex bottle..? Whose bag is this ?"

"It's mine actually," (Y/n) crouches down to retrieve her bag, "who knows when the vice president may need these items, right ? Ahhahaha.." A forced laugh escapes her throat as she glances at her friends sheepishly.

Yelena nods in understanding. She thinks it's completely normal for a secretary to carry things like that in a women's bag. On the other side, Nanaba and Frieda gaped their mouth in surprise.

Frieda ends up taking her leave as she said earlier, due to an upcoming issue. Yelena, Nanaba, and (Y/n) stayed and continue to have a 'grown up girls' talk 'till the evening.

------IN (Y/N)'S APARTMENT-------

After a rather long and tiring day, the secretary changes into more comfortable clothes, taking off the formal attire she has been wearing all day.

A hoodie, paired with comfy shorts.

"Well then, what to do.. what to do.." (Y/n)'s mind is always occupied by tasks and works.

At times like this, she becomes confused when she has nothing to do. But still, a little break wouldn't hurt."

Her eyes drift to a stack of folders that consist of all her work and reports from the last 10 years working in the Ackerman Company. She was about to go and have a look at one of them when a thin colorful book caught her attention.

Mr. Blanket

(Y/n) plops down on her chair, tracing the pages of the book that tells a story about a childhood.

A story when she was...

*KNOCK KNOCK*

Loud knocking on her apartment door interrupts her sweet time reading the old diary on her grasp. It's almost eleven in the evening for fucks sake, who's crazy enough to visit her at this time ?

Especially with the continuous banging on the door. It appears that the guest is not very fond of waiting.

"Who is it ?"

(Y/n) looks through the peephole, only to see someone that she never thought would come here. She gasps.

"Oh my sweet freckled Jesus.."

She quickly unlocks the door and steps out, still in shock, "What brings you here at this hour, sir ?"

Now Levi's back is facing her, he only let out a sigh as an answer as he crosses his arms over his chest. Not to mention, he's still clad in his usual work clothes.

'What the hell do you want you prick..? First you appear here and now you're like a sulking kid !' (Y/n) fumes in her head. She forces a smile.

"You can come in-"

"Don't order me. I'll just say something here."

'SERIOUSLY WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THIS MAN ?!'

"Well, alright then..?" (Y/n) closes the door behind her and faces her boss.

Levi turns around, "Were you serious about your talks of relationship and marriage ?"

"You came here at this hour just to ask me that ?"

He cocked an eyebrow, "So why, all of a sudden ? Were you dating someone secretly behind my back ?"

"Mr. Ackerman... Are you mad ? I don't see the reason-"

"No. It's not like I'd care who you date or not. Why would I get mad ?"

An unintended sigh of relief escapes her lips, "I know, right ?"

"Just answer the damn question." Levi demanded, keeping his eyes locked on her.

"I'm not dating someone in secret, sir."

"Of course you shouldn't."

'..huh ?'

"Pardon ?" (Y/n) cannot comprehend what her boss just said.

She seems to be unable to wrap her head around any of the things he said.

"What ? Got a problem with that ?" Levi barked almost immediately.

(Y/n) sighs, she's fully aware that her boss sometimes says unexpected things but.. not this one. She straightens her pose, looking him in the eye, "I wouldn't have reasons to keep it a secret from you. It's not like I had time to do that dating stuff." (Y/n)'s referring to her busy self, "I'd come into work 6 AM every morning, and I'd never finish on time."

"And when you call me, I have to spring out of the bed and head over to you in less than 20 minutes."

"Tch.." There goes his trademark tongue clicking, "You're not being very convincing here."

'Oh god.. what do you exactly want from me ?!!'

The secretary purses her lips and hold back the urge to roll her eyes, "It's just at this rate, working all day next to you, I'll end up growing old without getting married."

"That's your reason ?" Levi tilts his head.

(Y/n) grows irritated, "What do you mean by 'that's your reason' ?" she shook her head a little in disbelief, "well think about this, sir. Who's going to take care of me once I grow old and you fire me because you're not happy with my work ?"

"..Fine. Quite understandable." Levi gives a slight nod, "now I'll offer you a life contract."

'Not this stupid contract again..'

"Oh no no no, I think that's even worse, sir. I refuse any of your offerings. I'll still quit." (Y/n) lets out a small airy laugh, "you're telling me to grow old and lonely, taking care of you and the company for my entire life."

Oooh~ Levi doesn't fail to notice the sarcasm dripping from her voice.

But he's not shaken at all.

"So, you want to quit the company, so you can try and get married ?"

"Yes sir."

"You want to get married that badly ?"

(Y/n) nods in confirmation, "Yes, sir." She smiles.

Levi seems to be in a deep thought for a few seconds, before maintaining eye contact with her, "Then just keep working for me." He spoke.

"Because I, Levi Ackerman,"

"will marry you."
