The crowd loudly cheered again to celebrate which was probably our 8th win against The Stingrays this season. How embarrassing for them.

I collected my things from the locker room to exit the packed gymnasium as quick as possible. I then swiftly rushed my way out the gate and then started walking home, hoping not to be seen by Xavier for I didn't feel the need to be trapped in his house again just because he felt lazy to peddle 2 more blocks to my house.

As I walked, the only person I could talk to was me. Which is actually not a bad thing considering over the fact that I haven't been really able to think lately. The first thing that came to mind was actually something that I haven't been able to forget since it's such an important matter to me personally.

What Savannah and I talked about really stuck with me in a sense. Did I really wanna become an Olympic athlete? Is it worth it to train non stop just for me to earn a gold medal that represents my hard work? What do I really wanna do for my future?

I't literally felt like I was just in 8th grade denying to face the fact that I was about to enter high school. Now here I am, graduating in 5 months not even knowing what college I wanna go to. Why can't I just be a professional food taster making money out of just eating and criticizing people if what they cooked was good or not?

Suddenly Xavier's annoyingly loud bicycle bell just had to cut me off in my train of thought and felt it was okay to alarm me like that.

"What the hell-" Out of nowhere just before I could've nagged him for scaring me, there was no pause, there was no decision, no slow approach, Xavier's soft sweet lips had already met mine, causing my eyes to widen in shock. My cheeks burned bright red as his strong hands gently cupped my cheeks which felt like a sign to return his kiss.

Probably noticing me trying to subtly shrug away, he suddenly snaked both of his arms away from my cheeks to then travel down my waist, wrapping around me tightly, deepening our kiss.

He then slowly moved his face away from mine to break off the kiss, causing me to exhale shakily, trying to process what that was all about.

We took less than a second to look at each other's eyes. His beautiful grey eyes were dilated into mine, his cheeks also flushed as his breaths became more rapid.

Xavier bit his reddened lips at me as he spoke, slowly caressing my cheek with his hand. "Don't be weirded out or anything, but you taste good." I felt my heart skip a beat as he spoke to me.

"U-um you too, I guess." I breathed anxiously, his eyes continuing to pierce through me as I was still trying to process what the hell was going on.

Xavier deeply chuckled, brushing his soft lips against mine, only to make them meet each other again.

"What are you planning to be in the future?" I queried happily, watching him munch on his burger as if he hasn't eaten in 5 years.

He took a quick second to finish swallowing his burger, then finally prepared to answer my question. "Your husband." He smiled proudly like a child, proceeding to take a sip out of his drink.

"I'm serious." I narrowed my eyes at him, acting as if what he said didn't give me major butterflies, BUT IT DID! OH MY GOSH!

"Probably a lifeguard or something. What about you?" He queried back. I was fearing that he was going to ask me this.

"Promise you won't make fun of me?" I gritted my teeth, contemplating if I should tell him or not.

"I promise." He answered seriously, his grey eyes piercing through me.

"I wanted to be-" Suddenly a girl who came out of nowhere randomly just approached our table, cutting me off with what I was about to say.

"I-I'm sorry but t-this was a dare." This girl tried her hardest not laugh, momentarily turning her head back at a table filled with girls trying their hardest not to laugh also, then turning her head back to Xavier. "Can I have your numbe-" She was then cut off by Xavier.

"No." He answered loudly and monotonously, catching the poor girl off guard.

I felt bad as I watched her friends on the other table started laughing and it kinda took me back a little, I started seeing myself in her position and how embarrassed she probably feels.

"He means yes. Tell her your number Xavier." I smiled sinisterly, causing him to sigh in annoyance. They quickly exchanged numbers, making me notice her table of friends quickly shutting up. She walked away, and she seemed extra happy. Yay me!

I explained to Xavier why I told him to give his number to her anyway and he understood. And also I hoped that would make him forget about asking me what I wanted to be in the future.

"So what about you? What do you wanna be in the future?" He asked, finishing off his burger.

Shit he remembered, whatever, here we go.

"I wanted to be an Olympic swimmer." I awkwardly let out, carefully studying his facial expressions to see if he wanted to laugh.

"Cool." He looked at me intently without cracking a smile. "Hope you do become one." He cheered enthusiastically.

"Ew what's wrong with you?" I queried playfully.

"What?" He raised an eyebrow at me as if I was crazy.

"You're just so nice now. You would normally call me stupid or something." I crossed my arms at him.

"Well I guess things change." He then slowly let out an enticing smile with his adorable dimples, which was intensely contagious, making me want to smile with him also.

"You're right about me being stupid sometimes though. I can be a really dumb girl." I shrugged at him.

Xavier's eyes glimmered at me as he spoke. "Everything's gonna be okay as long as your my dumb girl." His smile, only widening.

Things change huh?
