Xavier and I finally arrived at the dance, throwing quick glances at the other students scurrying off to enter.

It looks like the Winter Formal had already started. I noticed how much people were already inside the spaciously decorated banquet hall that flickered with bright beautiful lights and was draped with light pastel curtains. A huge sign that said 'Welcome to Winter Formal' was hung up in front of the door too.

"You ready?" I smiled back at Xavier, catching his normal emotionless face.

"I guess." He sighed audibly.

The second the both of us entered, a bunch of faces started turning towards us for no apparent reason. Their weird staring started to make me feel very uncomfortable, making me gesture Xavier towards who seemed familiar.

"Damn, hey Arielle!" Logan simpered, shuffling his eyes up and down at me. "You look amazing." His arms wrapped around me, welcoming me into a hug.

I tried to control myself in not checking Logan out too much because of his suit that perfectly outlined his body.

"Hey! This is Xavier, you guys probably already know each other."

I immediately could tell by Logan's facial expression he was not very fond of Xavier, but tried to greet him anyway.

"Nice to see you." Logan smiled at Xavier, lending out a polite handshake.

"Oh I know." Xavier answered confidently as he clenched his jaw at Logan, ignoring his handshake as his eyes didn't bother to even look at him.

Seeing as everything started to be very awkward, I decided to break the ice before everything goes down hill. "Well, I'm really happy to see you Logan, you look great yourself." I spoke gleefully, feeling sorry for him as he slowly raised his handshake he was offering back down.

"Yea well, I'll see you guys again, I'll go check in with the other guys." His voice sounding very uncomfortable, proceeding to walk away.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" I exclaimed, nudging Xavier on his stomach.

"Ow, what the hell!"

"You deserve it, he was trying to be nice." I snapped, narrowing my eyes at him.

"Whatever, I don't like him alrigh-" Xavier was quickly interrupted by a familiar voice as I felt a strong grip on my arm.

"Hey, I figured I'd see you here." Levi pulled me into his arms as he threw Xavier a vaguely combative look as if I was his property. "You look gorgeous as always." He whispered into my ear.

"U-um thanks." I awkwardly brushed away from Levi, knowing how wrong it was to do this to Xavier. "Considering over the fact that you never bothered texting me or anything, I thought that you weren't gonna take me anymore." I talked through my teeth.

"I apologize for that." Levi let out insensitively.

"So, who did you bring with you?" I sighed, knowing that he didn't get dressed just because he was looking for me.

"I actually came here with Vanessa." Levi smirked, turning his back to look for her. "What about you?" He queried, turning his head back at me.

"Oh I came here with Xavier." I replied quietly, trying to hide my subtly angered face about the fact that after what happened, he would still talk to Vanessa.

"Who's he?" Levi questioned further, throwing Xavier an indescribable look.

Just before I could've replied back, Xavier had already stepped in front of me, throwing Levi a cold stare.

"The person that she decided to go here with." Xavier let out dryly, preparing to speak again. "Who are you?" He finished, emphasizing strongly on the you.

"The person who she was supposed to go here with." Levi clapped back, moving his face closer to Xavier as if he wanted to start a fist fight.

"Hey Xavier why don't we try some of the drinks over there." I gritted my teeth, slowly pulling him away as he continued to throw Levi the nastiest dirty look.

"I don't know how you can be with someone like that." Xavier furrowed his eyebrows at me.

"We're not together, it's complicated. I know for sure I don't feel anything for him other than just friends." I smiled, trying to ease him up.

"Good, because I swear to god Arielle, if you do end up being with him, We're gonna have a problem." His face subtly starting to soften again but his voice remaining stern.

"Why, you're jealous?" I raised an eyebrow, watching his face completely turn upside down.

"W-what? No, what the hell. You know i've never liked anyone before so what makes you think you're so special?" He stated, throwing me a scrunched look in his face.

"So you just like, sleep with girls and never really fall for them?" I questioned.

"We haven't slept with each other have we?" He answered monotonously.

"Wait, are you a virgin?" I bluntly asked, not having control of the words coming out of my mouth.

"Proudly, yea I am. All these pathetic fucking boys pretending to be men by having sex already just seems so sad. By 10 years from now, they won't even know the girl they lost their virginity too." He ranted, finishing his second glass of water.

"Yea, I understand." I smiled, not being able to help myself to just stare at him as he adorably ranted about fuck boys in today's generation.

"I just think virginity is just something to be saved with someone special. But I swear Arielle, if I can't find that girl by graduation which is like in 3 months, I can't help but will have to resort to just fucking a random girl, hard."

"That's a lot coming from a boy who says he can't fall in love." I replied.

"Because nobody has ever really shown me how it feels yet.." His bright silver eyes that reflected the banquet's bright lights slowly fixated into mine.

This is one of the moments in my miserable life where I wanna do something so bad but I can't because I'm either scared, too lazy, or just rather not risk it.

The both of us just remained quiet, too busy just looking into each other's eyes as a slow and romantic song just so happened to start.

He then coughed awkwardly, cutting off the awkward staring, preparing to speak again.

"What about you? I can't believe I'm ever gonna ask someone this but, are you a virgin?" He asked curiously, running his hand behind his neck.

"I can't believe I'm ever gonna say this to you, but yes, I am a virgin." I smiled, not helping but to laugh at the sudden awkwardness.

"What's the farthest you've done?" He queried, seeming as if he was starting to be more curious.

"Just kissing really." I nodded my head slowly as I watched his face turn completely shocked. "What?" I asked.

"That's it? What the hell!" He laughed.

"Why? How far have you've gone?" I questioned back.

"A girl went down on me." He answered without a single care, smiling proudly at me.

"That's disgusting." I laughed. "Why would a girl even would wanna put something like that in their mouth, don't answer that." I continued to laugh, glancing at the people who were gliding and dancing so happily with their date.

He playfully rolled his eyes at me. "I'm just playing with you. No one has gone down on me."

I threw him a suspicious smile.

I couldn't help but be honest and just say it straight out. "Not to be weird or anything, but you look really good tonight." I casually complimented, watching as I captured Xavier's attention.

"I know." He replied dryly, his thick lashes blinking at me as I rolled my eyes.

"Of course that's your answer, cocky much?" I anxiously laughed. "You look only good tonight so don't get too confident." What I said made his perfectly shaped brows subtly rise.

"lies." Xavier clicked his mouth in disapproval as he slowly moved his chair closer to mine. "I mean, seeing how you look at me, I know for sure you think I'm attractive all the time." He teased, feeling my cheeks burn up as he spoke.

"Ew no, I don't even look at you." I rolled my eyes at him again as I waved his face away, not being able to control my flushing cheeks.

"Yea okay." Xavier tried to suppress a devilish smirk as he drank out of his cup.

I caught a quick glance of Vanessa and Levi getting juice together as I looked around the banquet. She looked so happy.

I unconsciously stood up off my seat to keep on watching Vanessa for some reason. Even if she looked happy, something seemed so off about her.

"Here, we should just go somewhere el-" Xavier was quickly cut off by a familiar voice that caught everybody's attention.

"What the hell! What's wrong with you?" Savannah screamed as her beautiful nude pink dress was stained with bright red juice.

I brushed aside some people to see Vanessa with a careless facial expression which made her look so different. Not in a good way.

"Oops, I'm sorry I didn't see you." She acted as if she cared, over exaggerating her facial expressions.

"Um the fuck? You clearly did once you turned around and spilled the drink on me so obviously. What the hell is wrong with you hoe?" Savannah's face looked so enraged as her strong voice echoed through the whole banquet hall, causing the music to also stop. "Do you want me to fuck you up?" She threw her fists up in the air.

I saw Vanessa spill it on her on purpose, which makes me so confused. Never in my life would I ever think that for a second my best friend would do something like this.

"Here, why don't you ask Arielle, she could've seen it?" Vanessa queried anxiously, quickly walking towards me. "Did I or did I not spill it on her by accident." Her eyes letting out a sign to agree with her.

"No, I-I didn't see anything." I stammered, suddenly feeling the weight of all the people looking at me, making me wanna quickly brush away from all the commotion and just made me wanna leave.
