I slowly raised my head up, which was buried against Xavier's chest. I awkwardly shuffled out of his grasp as the bright rays of sunlight coming from the window momentarily blinded me.

Not leaving the bed, I quickly sat up, rubbing my eyes with my hand, then looking back at Xavier who looked like as if he was glowing because of the rays of sunlight perfectly shining onto his face. I couldn't help but stare at him weirdly as his grey eyes quickly opened and squinted at me, catching my weird and embarrassing need to stare at him while he slept.

"Were you just sitting there, staring at me until I woke up?" His deep voice cooed, causing me to snap my head away from embarrassment.

"Um. No, I was just preparing to wake you up." I lied horribly, my eyes remaining to stay widened until I felt a strong tug behind my shirt, bringing me back to lay down next him.

"I can tell when you're lying." He groaned into my ear, wrapping an arm around my waist to hug me.

"Kids! Breakfast is rea-" Rosalyn blurted out as she rapidly busted the door wide open. "You two looked like you had a good night." She laughed. "Go ahead and get ready kids, and then go downstairs! I cooked waffles." She continued proudly, proceeding to leave the room with her nimble self.

Xavier didn't even seemed to be shocked or weirded out, instead just remained a calm facial expression as he left his eyes shut the whole time Rosalyn came in the room.

"I'm gonna get up, waffles sounds really good right now." I moaned, thinking about the last time I ever had a heavenly waffle enter my mouth. "Are you coming?"

"Mmm." His morning voice grumbled beside me, quickly making my eyes close in annoyance.

Xavier didn't bother saying anything back, instead just latched his arms off of me, pulling the blanket over his body as I quietly walked out of the room.

Who the hell would rather sleep than eat?

"This is a compliment my dear, I'm sorry if it ends up sounding odd, but you look exactly like my daughter when she was about your age." Rosalyn complimented, throwing me a polite smile. "Same long beautiful black hair, same bright blue eyes, and same clear porcelain skin. Just outstandingly gorgeous." She laughed, handing me the plate of waffles that hit my nose with the intense smell of euphoria.

"Thank you so much, I'm just grateful for good genes." I joked, causing her to laugh with me. "I just kidding, I'm a potato."

"Xavier is still sleeping?" She queried, looking up the stairs if he was coming.

"Yea, he is." I simpered, trying my hardest to fight the temptation of eating before anyone else.

"I can tell he really likes you." She smiled brightly.

"I doubt he doe-" I was quickly interrupted with a familiar deep voice that entered the room.

"I like who?" Xavier queried with his eyebrows furrowed down at me and Rosalyn.

Rosalyn coughed anxiously as she took a sip off her tea, her eyes looking down at her waffle.

But that ain't none of my business.

"Honey, your school emailed me yesterday about The Winter Formal tonight, are you bringing Arielle?" She queried, taking a bite off the glorious waffle.

"I'm not going. I rather stay home and sleep." Xavier replied with a serious tone in his voice.

"Same." I smiled, finishing my waffles before the both of them. God I'm so fat.

"Why don't you just go together?" Rosalyn continued. "Don't you have a suit Xavier?"

"Yea, but I'm too lazy to put it on." Xavier whined as his cheeks were filled with waffles, making him look like a cute bunny with bright grey eyes.

"You two should go! It's your senior year for heaven sakes! You two are gonna look back at your memories in high school and will regret you didn't go to Winter formal." She sighed, finishing her waffles also.

What she said quickly reminded me of how I was supposed to go to Winter Formal with Levi, but he never even brought it up anymore, so I guess he brought someone else?

"I-I don't have a dress." I announced, her face cracking into a bright smile that was evident of her coming up with something.

"Okay hold still, I'm just gonna zip this up and then I'll go and let you see it." Her voice sounded very excited behind me as I raised my hair up for her to zip up the dress.

I breathed as the sound of the zipper had finally reached all the way to the top of my neck, I let my hair back down as Rosalyn joyfully hopped in front of me to look at me one more time.

"Arielle you are going to be the most beautiful girl there!" She bubbled as she pulled a large mirror towards me, making me excited to see how I look in it.

I stared at my reflection in the mirror. The dress quickly taking all of my breath away. The way the fine fabric flowed with the beautifully intricate designs of the dress was astounding in every way possible. The dress molded my torso beautifully as it draped down pass my feet. The color of the dress was rose gold and it reflected against the sun perfectly, giving the illusion as if I were glowing radiantly around the room.

I felt Rosalyn's hands on my shoulder as the both of us couldn't stop examining the dress. "It was my daughter's." She sighed.

"Oh my God, I didn't know, I'm sorry." I quickly turned back at her, instantly feeling bad about wearing something that wasn't mine.

"No hon, it's okay. You look exactly like her when I helped her dress up for her prom. I'm pretty sure she'd want nobody else but you to wear it. It fits you perfectly." Rosalyn cheered, looking as if she was about to shed a tear.

"Words can't describe how thankful I am for everything you've done for me. This, this means so much to me." I smiled, hugging her tightly to show my genuine gratitude for her kindness.

"Oh don't thank me, It's nothing sweetheart. You're the first ever girl Xavier let me meet, which clearly shows a whole lot about what he thinks about you." She smiled, wiping the little tears coming out of her eyes.

"Nana, I need your help, how the hell do you put on a t-" Xavier's eyes rapidly landed onto me, his face almost resembling someone who had just seen a ghost. "Tie." He finished, his eyes scanning me up and down.

"Something on my face?" I teased, hoping it's not smeared makeup or anything.

"N-no, you just look. Different." He spoke softly, Rosalyn quickly finishing in doing his tie.

Xavier looked better than ever, his suit enticingly outlined his chiseled body, his hair looked perfectly fixed as if he was about to walk the red carpet. Too busy in subtly checking Xavier out, I hadn't even noticed my mom's text in agreement of her taking me and Xavier to The Winter Formal.

A new text from Mumzie

"I'm outside Arie, come out when you're ready!"

"My mom's here, we should go." I announced,

Rosalyn said her goodbyes to the both of us through hugs and kisses. We grabbed everything we needed as Rosalyn made a long rant about protecting ourselves and trying our best in not being influenced by people who smoke and drink and stuff like that.

Xavier quickly closed the front door the second I exited, catching him surprisingly throwing me the most adorable smirk I've ever seen before. "This is it." He smiled confidently.

"This is it." I happily chirped back.

REMEMBER TO COMMENT AND VOTE! <3 I love this chapter so much TBH, I literally felt like Rosalyn while I wrote this chapter lmao. THE SEQUEL IS OUT BTW
