'Think, Static, think. There has to be some way I can increase my physical strength, or apply my powers in a way where I'm stronger'

He saw Canary take a breath in and instantly increased his speed.

A second later another Cry burst forward, this time following Static as he flew in a circle around Canary.

Destruction began to engulf the room as pieces of the walls began to fall of, unable to take the pressure exerted by her scream.

However, instead of simply flying in a circle around the Hero, Static was instead flying in a way similar to a swirl.

With each loop and a sonic wave trailing the wall slightly behind him, Static got closer and closer to Canary.

In just a few seconds, he was behind her, palm opened with a mini circle of blue directly in front of it. Yet, through the corner of Canary's vision, she saw him.

Bringing her elbow backwards, it directly connected with the condensed shape of energy, causing sparks of electricity to blurt out in multiple directions, all of which seemed to not affect the Hero in any way.

On impact, Static's entire momentum was halted completely, and he found himself struggling to move forward.

Then she spun her body, attempting a kick directly to his side.
Only, something felt wrong about that kick.

As it got closer and closer, Static could feel that something was off about it.

Although Canary's body has borderline superhuman strength and endurance, the blows from before were somewhat manageable.

Yet he knew if he got hit by that kick this fight would be over.

So instead, Static shifted his body and tucked his knees in, using the other side of his Saucer once more as a shield.

Static felt the kick connect, but there was nothing odd about it. If you count borderline superhuman strength as a normal that is.

Then it happened.

A second after, a shockwave burst forth from the blow and sent Static flying backwards at insanely high speeds.

Still, he managed to gain control of his aerial movement and stop himself before he got sent into the room's wall, panting at the effort it took for him to block that.

"What was that?!"

Static spoke in between breaths, his legs aching at just taking a single strike.

"Something I only use if I'm serious enough, the whiplash is pretty bad, but, I don't really care right now"

"And why are you telling me this that easily?"

"You won't be able to capitalize on it, so I thought it'd discourage you. Guess not"

Thankfully, Static's Saucer was completely fine. After all, it was made out of materials that had names too big for Static to even pronounce.

Although he was thankful that it held, he didn't want to take another hit like that point-blank.

"So why didn't you use it before?"
"In the Museum?" She questioned, but already knew the answer.

"Me and Zatanna had you beat so there was no point. When Y/N came along I thought I could beat him without it, plus depending on how much energy I used I would've been immobilized if you beat Zatanna, which you did, which would've meant we lost anyways"

"Plus, it's pretty obvious I can only use this for one on one fights. I would've used it earlier against a certain someone, but our fight didn't last that long so there was no need. Also, Zatanna would've been blasted away off the roof if I used it back then. But now......"

She cracked her knuckles.
"Now there's nothing stopping me"
Contrary to what she said, she internally winced at the pain in her leg.

Canary prepped another Cry, but there was something she just displayed that would change Static. Or more specifically, his mindset.

Inspiration.

That's what Static was looking for, what he needed. The reason he wasn't making any quips or remarks was because he was trying to think and figure out a way to enhance his strength, and Canary had unknowingly given him what he needed.

'She mainly does the Cry but that isn't her power, Canary's power is that she can give off unbelievable strong sonic attacks. That's what she told me and the Titans. I just assumed that meant through her voice since that was her gig, but she can apply that to other parts of her body?'

Whenever he used his powers, Static had always used them externally. Whether it be through magnetism, creating forcefields, shooting blasts of energy, and even condensing that energy into shapes. Everything had been outwards.

But what about internally?

Static had never tried to use his powers on the inside of his body, mainly because he always thought his powers had to do with him manipulating electricity outwardly.

Yet, his powers could also work internally. Wasn't him repairing the holes stabbed in his arms earlier proof of that?

Only this time, instead of using his powers like a tether, what if he applied them in a similar manner Canary did?

'What if I let my energy flow throughout the inside of certain parts of my body? It's not like there'll be a.................I've been internally monologuing for too long haven't I- SHIT'

The former? Hero barely got out of the way in time to avoid the sonic blast that dented the wall behind where he was previously.

'It's even more risky to do close-quarters combat now that she can make literal sound effects with her limbs, but I can't beat her at ranged since she's immune to my blasts and can just dodge anything else I do'

He zoomed around her, throwing two makeshift daggers that she, of course, simply dodged.

'So think. To others electricity is simply my power, but to me it's more of an energy my body uses to do different functions depending on how I apply it. So if I just'

Static focused on controlling the arks of blue that crackled on the outside of his body, and this time, like before, focused on using it within.

He only used a very small amount, and concentrated while flying downwards towards Canary.

Static dropped the ground, rolling and catching his Saucer only to throw it like a frisbee all while going into a sprint.

Canary caught it, but the weapon had obscured her view of what was behind it.

Static was there, arm pulled backwards and a light in his eyes.

He could feel it. He only put the smallest amount of energy into his right arm as possible, specifically that arm's muscles, but he could feel the slight difference.

It was strange, almost as if something new was amplifying his movements. It was almost addicting.

Canary felt something was off, so she twisted her grip so that she was holding the Saucer like a shield with both hands right as Static's fist connected.

As the blow hit, Canary blocked it and then twisted the shield to the side, setting Static off balance and falling to his side.

'It didn't work?!'

As he was falling over, Canary brought a kick up that connected directly to Static's skull, sending him back upwards in the opposite direction he was falling just a second before.

If it wasn't for the natural increase in endurance that came with being a Bang Baby, Static was sure that he would've had a concussion from that.

With that same leg, Canary kicked Static in the side of his ribs, something that caused Static to visibly grimace from due to all the injuries he'd receive there tonight.

Right as the kick connected though, a sonic wave erupted from that leg and sent Static literally flying into one of the room's walls, the force of the blow causing Static to feel numerous cracks in his ribs.

Gravity caught up to him a moment later, and Static fell to the floor with an subtle sound.

He struggled to catch his breath as he laid on the ground, but forced himself up to a kneeling position, his breathing wild.

'It's like there's a second hit behind the first one, and it's worse than the original'

His mind was foggy but he still managed to let his thoughts pierce the cloud that threatened to cover his brain.

'Why didn't my strength increase though? It should've worked. Unless, did I put too little power?'

Although Static felt the change, that didn't mean it was significant in the outside world. After all, even if it's a small increase in power, that would affect Static more than Canary.

Speaking of the bird, as Static looked up, he found Canary nearly above him, leg outstretched for an axe kick that radiated danger.

'If I put too little energy before, then how about this?'

In an instant, almost Static pumped all the power he had into his arm, "all the power" being a tremendous amount to be more precise.

There was so much in fact, that he couldn't help the leak of electricity that travelled around the outside of his arm, which made Canary's eyes narrow.

It was too late to dodge, and even if he managed to, he would still get hit by the shockwave. So, he brought his fist upwards, and allowed it to collide with Canary's own blow.

"What if I turned myself in peacefully?"
"Too late"

Ravager broke into a sprint, her swords tip dragging along the ground as she swung upwards, which you managed to dodge by moving your body to the side.

You then felt a punch to the side of your ribs which caused your body to slightly falter, and caught a red and yellow blur out of the corner of your eye.

There wasn't any time to recover since from your other side, you were this time forced to block a second sword swing.

With her free hand, Ravager's arm went over your guys' swords and delivered an elbow directly to the side of your face.

As your body rebounded from the blow and a familiar ringing went out throughout your ears, the world went black and white, and you managed to use your free hand and force it to defend your ribs on the other side of your body, your arm snapping into place.

Less than half a second later, Kid-Flash punched you in that same spot and then vanished.

Rose swung her blade for your leg, but you simply lifted it up and stomped it back down once it passed, being swift about it since if you took a hit while off balance it would end with you on the ground.

The world once again went black and white for you, with you now using your forearm to block the side of your head.

As the Speedster's next punch in that exact same area was blocked, you could see a surprised expression on his face before he moved out of view.

'He's still fast, but I did hit him in his femoral artery so he's way slower now. Still'

Using your sword, you twisted your grip on it so that the blade part was behind you facing downwards and put it over your shoulder, blocking another swing from Rose that would've hit your back.

'I can't capitalize on it while getting FUCKING JUMPED!'

The force the her hit caused you to focus on her a second too long, and from your other side you felt a fist connect with the side of your face.

As you were sent the other way, Rose threw out a kick aimed for the back of your knee, which you blocked by raising your leg and letting her hit a more protected part of your limb.

Quickly after, you let the world go black and white and you moved your head backwards, dodging another fist that would've connected in the same spot as earlier, your face.

Afterwards you managed to see Rose's next strike before it hit, but you didn't have enough time in between attacks to counter it.

You held a grimace as she slammed her weapon's hilt into the side of your ribs, which you were hoping weren't cracked from the sheer force of her attack.

There wasn't any time to even process the pain you felt as before you could react, Kid-Flash delivered a kick to the back of your leg before disappearing from your sight in a blur.

With your balance faltering slightly, your body turned just a little bit more to Rose, and she used this shift to bring her leg up for a high kick directly to your face.

You managed to block the hit by bringing up both your forearms, but the power behind it made your arms shake.

'Fuck'

Even though you realized, it was already too late. You'd left yourself open.

A sudden kick to your ribs from Kid-Flash caused you to wince, your guard falling at the force.

Rose then repeated her high kick flawlessly, this time nailing you in the face and almost taking you out of consciousness.

She attempted to follow it up with a kick to your ribs, but you managed to block it by bringing the arm that held your sword downwards, taking far less damage than you originally would've.

'STATIC SOME ASSISTANCE WOULD BE NICE'

The world went black and white, and then a second later your leg opposite to Rose shot outwardly at an unnaturally high speed as a side kick, connecting with the Speedster who'd just appeared there's gut.

Ravager retracted her leg and spun, performing a spinning sword swing that would've connected with your back had you not ducked forwards, which ended with her in front of you.

The world once again went black and white as you twisted and swung your sword in a direction behind you, which Kid-Flash ducked around and gut-checked you for immediately afterwards before disappearing from view.

There wasn't any time to rest as you brought your hand up to the right side of your face, stopping and deflecting a punch from Rose.

You were then forced to bring your left hand up, the one with the sword, to block a horizontal swing that seemed as if it would've cleaved you in half.

A sense of danger that washed throughout your body warned you, but you couldn't even spare the time to listen to it. A moment later, a blur of yellow and red went by you, and you felt the impact of a punch to your face.

'This is just assault at this point. I should be pressing charges'

Rose then stopped the advancement of her swing, and instead opted for a roundhouse kick to your skull.

With the angle she was at, if that move hit, you doubted you wouldn't at least be unconscious for a minute or two.

The word went black and white, and a second later you found your option.

In an instant you dropped to the floor back-first, and a blur of yellow and red that would've hit you from behind instead met the full powered kick of Ravager .

Immediately after your back hit the ground you kicked yourself back up to your feet, moving your blade to block the diagonal swing of a sword from Rose, and then following it up by delivering a back kick to the still disoriented Speedster who was behind you.

Ravager pulled her weapon back, and you were forced to sidestep as she attempted a pierce.

As the sword was in front of you and outstretched, you kicked the blade upwards as hard as you could, which caused it to leave her hands and soar into the air.

After the world went black and white, you moved your head slightly to the side and took a step forwards, dodging Kid-Flash's punch and stepping inwards in order to deliver a gut punch as hard as you possibly could before he disappeared, one that he seemed to feel as that was the third time he had been hit there.

You then focused on every single muscle in your legs, and stomped one of them into the ground, which propelled yourself upwards and out of the way of another kick from the mercenary.

As you soared backwards and flipped through the air, you caught the Rose's sword that had begun to fall, snatching it out of the air.

The second you landed, which was behind Ravager, you turned, letting out two consecutive slashes that Rose avoided by propelling herself backwards, in which she was caught by Kid-Flash who set her on the ground.

There was finally distance between the them, and you.

You stared at them, both swords gripped in your hands, panting from exhaustion yet muscles tended and ready to go again.

They stared back, Kid-Flash with visibly weariness and Rose with annoyance with the fact you'd somehow gotten both of her swords in your hands.

And yet, a gleam of respect was visible in her eyes.

"I've decided" She spoke, pushing herself off of her friend.

"I like you. Join the Titans"
".......Fwhat?"

You were both interrupted as the room began to suddenly shake, almost throwing you off balance.

The fighting in the room momentarily paused as everyone looked upwards, at the source of the quakes.

You did as well, and a sudden feeling of panic hit you
as you realized something.

'The auction room'

That floor was the one directly above you guys, and currently, it seemed as if something major was going on up there.

'I thought that room was cleared?! The girl might get found-......Canary. Shit shit shit'

In the chaos that had befallen the last 20 minutes, you'd forgotten who'd even sent you to this floor, and by sent I mean sending you through the floor.

'Is that her Cry? No no, it would've sounded different. Is she fighting someone? She should still be on that fl'-

"Still not gonna give him up?"

Her words echoed in your mind, and the image of Static's Saucer flying into the centre of the auction room popped up next to it.

'Did she find Static?! He'd never leave his Saucer behind so- FUCK I'M SO STUPID! I need to get up there now'

With your eyes wildly darting around to find the nearest exit, you were just about to sprint off when you stopped.

And the air around you grew significantly cold.
