Today is the day. The day I meet the boss... Wow, I sound like a drama queen who's about to present her to her class.

"So when is he gonna come?" Aaron asked, and you could tell that he was anxious. We were all sitting in the living room, as usual.

I looked at him. "He said at 13:30 is the meeting, so I guess anytime now because it's already 13:00," I replied with a sigh.

What if he wanted to torture me, then feed me to the stray dogs? Or, he could abuse me, rape me, and put me in a cell for the rest of my life! I don't want that.

This was the first time since they kidnapped me that I was actually worried to the point of puking the Oreos I had just eaten. I know, gross.

I was cut off from my colorful thoughts by the doorbell. "I'll go get it," Noah said and stood up, then went to the main door. He came back with the glasses dude. He's still gigantic. Well, he's not gonna be small and short in one night... Or ever... Unless he amputates his legs.

"We have to go," he ordered with a blank face. Blank face... Blank... Blank space... Tay Tay.

"Well, hello to you too, dude," I said sarcastically, then got up. I was followed by the boys.

Glasses dude stopped and looked at them. "Where are you going?" he asked, raising his eyebrows. You could actually see them above his sunglasses, and they were thick. My eyes widened in realization. What! No, I want them with me. Especially Jaxon. Boss could be a serial killer for all I know.

Jaxon grabbed the dude's shoulder and squeezed it. "We are coming with her, whether you like it or not." He glared at him, and glasses dude thought before he shrugged.

"Fine, but you will wait outside his office when he talks to her, understand?" he warned, and the boys nodded with angry faces, not intimidated by his warning.

At least I'm not alone... for now. I don't want to ride with glasses dude alone in a car.

He's creepy.

Creepy as in dangerous.

We got into the minivan that he was driving. I sat in the back between Jaxon and Aaron, and Noah and Owen sat in the last row. "I'm scared," the words left my mouth uncontrollably, but they were true.

Apparently, Jaxon heard me, so he held my hand tightly in his and whispered in my ear. "Don't be. We are with you. We will protect you if he intends to do anything to you. I'll kill for you. You are my Carino now, my princess, my first and only girl I'll ever want, so don't be scared. I'm here for you." He finished his heartwarming speech, and I looked into his beautiful calming eyes.

I felt tears threatening to fall, but I held them back. They were tears of joy because I was sure he would protect me no matter what. I was confident before too... but eh.

I wanted to kiss Jaxon, but I knew it was not the best time, and the glasses dude would not stop staring at me from the rearview mirror. So I laid my head on Jax's shoulder and took a long deep breath. The boys were in a serious mood. They were not smiling or moving. I did not know if they were even blinking. They had blank expressions. Again... Blank space.

So I waited in silence, hoping for the best.

"We are here," glasses dude declared as he parked in a building's driveway. We jumped out of the van, and I looked around. Nothing was unusual here, but the building did not have a name, sign, or anything. It was like a nude building.

"Let's go." And we followed glasses dude.

"To infinity and beyond," I yelled. Sorry I had to do it.

They looked at me for a minute, then they smiled. Good, I was able to lift the mood.

"Come on," glasses dude glared at me, and I rolled my eyes. I mean, who is he to glare at me? I'm Ariel Lee O'Connor. No one glares at me for no reason and gets away with it. Well, he had a reason, but he will pay.

As we entered, he told us to wait in a large room, then he would come back and take me to the boss, but before he was out of the room, I put my leg in front of him, and he tripped. "Maybe, you shouldn't wear sunglasses in a building, dude," I commented with a smirk and heard the boys chuckle. I told you he would pay. Payback is a female dog.

"You little b-" I cut him off.

"Language."

Man, I love it when I do that.

He stared at me, then left the room without another word. "That was funny!" Noah commented, and I laughed.

"That's Ariel for you," Jaxon pointed out with a smirk. We went silent for a few minutes until Owen broke it.

"Who do you think he is?" he asked, and we all looked at him with confused expressions. I shrugged my shoulders and sighed. I want to know. The curiosity is killing me alive.

"Well, we're about to know," Aaron cleared, and we looked at the door and saw glasses dude coming my way.

"Time to go," he said, and I got up. Jaxon and the rest stood up but were stopped by the dude. "You stay here," he demanded then we were out of the door before we could hear their complaints. He can't be standable? I don't know if that's even a word, but he's a jerk. I can't stand him.

We reached a big door. He knocked on it and waited. A couple of seconds later, we heard someone invite us in, so we did. This is it.

When I looked at him, my primary kidnapper, I felt like crying and killing him.

Why him?
