Special thanks to @ihavenonamehalp for recommending Charlotte Brontë!

Greetings writers and readers! 👋

Let's dive into this week's discussion on a Victorian era and English writer, Charlotte Brontë (1816 - 1855). Her married name is Mrs. Arthur Bell Nichollas, and her pseudonym is Currer Bell.

She's the sister of Emily and Anne Brontë. All three writers, which lead to 1845 where Charlotte found some poems by Emily, the discovery transitioned to the volume: Poems by Currer, Ellis, and Action Bell (1846).

Charlotte has four novels categorized in romance, realism, and gender. Her most well-known novel is Jane Eyre, first published in 1847. The main character, Jane Eyre is an orphan and governess employee Mr. Rochester whom she falls in love with. With Charlotte's rhetorical passages and inspiration from other writers like Wuthering Heights, Cinderella, and many more, she has created beautiful worlds.

This discussion welcomes any questions, interests in asking and talking about specific writings and her personal life, what cultural aspects might have influenced her as a writer, and many more.

Ready for the prompts? Here they are:

Growing up with a family of writers, what do you believe inspired Charlotte the most? Her family? Her sisters' writings? Both? And what themes are prominent throughout her novels: The Professor, Jane Eyre, Shirley, and Villette? Which one resonated with you? And why?

Thank you for your responses! We enjoy every feedback, questions, and answer to the prompts. We can't wait to read and talk with you!
