After taking a morning shower, I sit on my bed, only wearing my underwear. I'm applying my favorite body lotion to my skin when what happened last night crosses my mind again. Heat travels to every inch of my body every time I remember my first time with Aiden.

I can't deny that my first time hurt, but feeling Aiden embracing me like I was a part of his soul was beyond anything that I could explain. To be one with him means everything to me. I still can't believe that I'm the one staying by his side.

Sometimes, I wonder if I was in a dream. For an ordinary girl like me, to be in Aiden's arms indeed feels like a dream. I never thought that I would have a desire so fierce to be seen as a beautiful woman.

A knock on my door snaps me out of my daydream. "Nevaeh." It's Aiden's voice. My heart thuds.

"Come in."

The moment Aiden opens the door and sees me in only my bra and panties, I realize what's happening.

Did I just let him come into my room while I'm still half naked?

Gosh, Nevaeh, what were you thinking about?

Aiden stops short and closes the door behind him. Even though he's already seen me naked a few times, it seems like the sight still makes him taken aback.

I don't know what I should do. Hiding my body from him sounds stupid, but I turn my back on him nonetheless, facing the other side.

"I just finished taking a shower," I stutter, pouring the lotion onto my palm before applying it to the skin on my leg.

Please, Nevaeh, don't say anything stupid.

I tend to blurt out stupid things when I'm nervous.

I feel Aiden's footsteps approaching me, and my heart beats faster.

Today is the weekend, so we'll be spending a lot of time together. In fact, I was looking forward to it.

But then, why am I feeling so damn nervous right now?

We're here alone in my bedroom again, and I can't help but think about the thing we did last night, on this very same bed.

Hold on. There are many things we can do together in my bedroom. Why do I have to think about that one? My mind is so corrupted.

Aiden sits on the bed, close to me, but I'm still not facing him.

"How are you feeling after last night?" Aiden's voice is so soft and tender that it sends butterflies to my tummy. "Are you okay?"

Right. We didn't talk about this during our breakfast because Ian was wandering around.

How am I supposed to answer this question? I still feel a bit sore, but it's going to get better soon, I guess.

"I'm okay," I say in a small voice.

I don't know how to act in this awkward moment, so I keep myself busy applying the lotion to my skin. I know that Aiden is watching me although I'm not looking at him.

"Let me help you put it on your back," he whispers close to my ear, sending shivers down my spine.

He takes the lotion from me and begins helping me. I feel him applying it to my back. When his hand reaches the clasp of my bra, he stops.

After a few seconds of excruciating silence, he pulls the clasp slightly but not enough to unfasten it. Meanwhile, here I am, holding my breath.

Aiden suddenly releases his hand from my bra and begins applying the lotion to my shoulders. He even massages my shoulders, and it feels so good. I let out a sigh of contentment.

My phone suddenly rings, startling me. I see the caller on the screen: Sienna.

I'm aware of the situation Aiden and I are in, but it will make me even more guilty if I reject her call. Besides, Sienna rarely asks for a video call, so it should be safe for us.

Since my hands are still full with the lotion, I put Sienna on speaker. "Hey," I greet her, trying to sound normal even though Aiden's massage feels so good that it makes me want to moan.

"Hey, sleepyhead. Did I just woke you up?" Sienna's voice is filled with amusement. "You sound hoarse."

I gulp. I want to focus on my conversation with her, but all I can think about and feel is Aiden's hands all over my skin.

"What? No," I quickly say. "I woke up early today. I've taken a shower and had my breakfast."

Sienna chuckles. "You don't have to explain to me, Ms. Diligent. I know that you always wake up early."

I sigh. Why do I have to feel so nervous?

"I just want to update you about my plan to go to Seattle in two weeks," Sienna says. "It's still on schedule. Luna and I are so excited. The three of us should hang out again."

I'm listening intently. It's important to know about the agenda so that Aiden and I can adjust to it.

While my thoughts are busy creating scenarios in my head, Aiden's hand swipe my ponytail to one side, exposing more skin on my neck.

His breath is so close. What is he doing?

"Do you have any class on Friday?" Sienna asks, just when Aiden places a soft kiss on my neck. I almost gasp.

"What?" I stutter.

To my surprise, Aiden is now placing openmouthed kisses on my neck and shoulder. The feeling of his mouth on my skin makes my body on fire again, just like what happened last night.

Isn't he supposed to pay attention to what Sienna said? This is important for our plan. How can he be so calm?

Sienna goes silent, probably wondering why I sound weird.

"Class on Friday?" I repeat the question. "N-no, I don't." I shut my eyes, knowing that Aiden isn't stopping anytime soon. "I mean, yes. I do have a class on Friday. Just one class. One."

Aiden sucks the skin on my neck gently, tilting my head to one side to give him more access.

"Ah--"

"You do?" Sienna echoes.

"Yes," I blurt out, breathless. "S-sorry. I just stumbled on the way to my room. I spilled my tea," I lie.

Aiden sucks again, now on my shoulder. I can't help but let out another little gasp.

He seems to realize his bold move and stops. He breathes on my neck like it's heroin and lets out the most frustrated sigh I've ever heard.

"So, you have a class on Friday." Sienna sounds a bit disappointed. "Luna plans to hang out with us on Friday because Aiden will probably still be busy with work."

"My class is in the morning," I say. "So I'll be free after that. We all can have lunch together and hang out somewhere."

"That's great." Sienna's cheerful voice is back. "She misses you."

A soft smile touches my lips when I think about Luna. "I miss her too."

Aiden places another soft kiss on my neck, and I can feel him smiling.

"Are you ready to have many visitors this month?" Sienna asks teasingly. "I miss having pillow talks with you."

I chuckle. "Me too. I look forward to that."

"You must be expecting your parents too. I can imagine your dad's ecstatic face." She laughs. "He sounded really excited when my parents called him earlier this morning. He couldn't wait to board the plane."

I laugh too. "Well, he still has another week to go. The plane can wait."

There's silence from the other side of the line before Sienna speaks again, "What? You didn't know?"

"Know what?" I frown.

"I think..." Sienna falters, sounding like she's checking her watch. "I think they'll be there in two hours."

My mouth drops open. I need a moment to absorb what's happening.

"What?" I instantly jump off my bed. There must be something wrong with my ears. "What do you mean?"

Sienna, on the other hand, laughs out loud. "Oh, God, don't tell me that they didn't tell you? I remember him mentioning a surprise, though."

I want to pull all of my hair out.

Really, dad? A surprise?

"No, it can't be true." I shake my head in denial, wishing that Sienna was joking. "He'll have to go to Canada first for a business meeting. He's supposed to be here next week, not this weekend."

What am I going to do if they'll be here shortly? I haven't settled anything for this.

"Well, it seems that you're first then Canada, my dear," Sienna says matter-of-factly.

"They should have told me first," I say, feeling as though my head is about to explode. "I have--" I'm running out of words. "I have plans today with my friends."

Sienna chuckles. "Calm down, Nev. I think you should call them now to make sure of that."

"I will," I say, still breathless. "Thanks for letting me know." With that said, I hang up.

I look at Aiden, who has the same shock written on his face. He seems to be at a loss for words too.

"What am I going to do?" My hand is shaking when I dial dad's number. "Come on, dad. Pick it up."

I wait for him to answer the phone, but the line goes dead. I try to call mom too, but it turns out that her phone is switched off.

Of course, they can't pick it up. They're on the plane.

"Nevaeh," Aiden's voice snaps me out of my panic mode.

He shoots me a firm look, telling me to calm down despite this chaos. I have to compose myself, or else we wouldn't be able to get out of this mess.

I nod, and that makes Aiden strides toward the door. He commands the staff members of his house, "I need everyone right this instant. It's an emergency."
