"I-I don't know you," She said backing away again

"I don't know you either, but if you truly are my child then my brother would scold me if I let you go. So please, stay." I hated begging, but I also hated Amenadiel's scoldings, And here; I didn't despise how I felt as much.

"A-alright," She said shakily

"Alright. This way then." I gestured for her to follow me. I turned and headed to the elevator. I could hear her steps as she hesitantly followed me, taking caution in avoiding furniture and anything besides the floor and the air.

"You don't have to be so cautious, love," I said perkily, hoping Amenadiel wouldn't scold me any worse for scaring her.

"I- ah- y-yeah," She said. She got into the elevator with me standing as far away as possible. The poor thing was practically hugging the wall.

The elevator started up and I could sense the panic build in her before dying down again. Certainly a jumpy little bugger, this one. The elevator stopped and I walked out with her keeping her slow and cautious pace behind me.

"This is my penthouse. You may stay here." I didn't know what to offer her. I approached my bar needing a drink to help me unwind this situation. She stayed in the center of the room just outside of the elevator, keeping her eyes on the floor and examining the room.

"Let me get something for your wrist." I left the room and came back with an ice pack.

I approached her and she visibly tensed.

"It's alright, love. I won't hurt you. And don't you know the devil never lies?" I said smugly as she slowly put the wrist she was coddling into my outstretched hand. I twisted her wrist around and she winced and tried to pull away. I glanced up at her and gave her a comforting smile.

"it's just a sprain. It should heal fairly quickly if you're anything like me." I put the bag of ice on her upturned wrist and she pulled away. I looked up at her confused.

"I-i'm sorry, I'm not trying to be difficult I-just- I-" she stuttered as she panicked out the words.

"Relax, it's alright. " I said as I held my hand back out for her wrist.

I don't know when I became so coddling, or soft. It seems to be doing the trick of calming her down. She put her hand back into mine not letting me touch her wrist or the bottom of her arm. I slowly placed the ice bag on her wrist and held the back of her hand and the ice bag.

"Hold this here," I said as I slowly let go of her hand.

*your P.O.V. *

you slowly placed your hand back in his. You were careful to make sure he didn't touch your wrist or veins. After seeing your mother drug herself so many times you became very cautious of your veins, especially after all the times she needed blood transfusions. The people she went to when the drugs became too much for her were certainly not doctors. When he touched your wrist it reminded you of the first time she needed a blood transfusion. It wasn't too long ago.

A/n I tried to make this update longer by recommendation from @IrisHengst. The next chapter will definitely be longer. I would've made this one longer but the next part is a flashback and I wanted to post it whole so there were no cliff hangers. I hope you enjoyed this part. I'm going to start putting memes as the pictures just because I want to. Feedback is always appreciated. Until next time ~Kigha
