Clay's POV

I smiled at Sapnap in a comforting way because I saw he was pretty anxious. I grabbed his hand as we stood in front of Ivan's house with our bags in our hands, rubbing my thumb over the top of it.

'Are you sure you want to go inside? You can always go back now and I'll say you decided not to come. I invited Jimmy too so they'll just think I asked a lot of people and some didn't come and some did.'

Sapnap shrugged and then shook his head slowly, walking closer to me to give me a hug for comfort. 'It's okay, I can always go home later if I don't feel well or unsafe. But please, stay near me... I'm not going to stop you from drinking, but I hope you can keep me safe.'

'Of course, I'll bring you home and go back if you allow me to. Otherwise, I'll stay with you at home and skip the rest of the weekend because I have a lot to make up to you and want to be a good brother like you for once,' I replied with a smile on my face.

Sapnap breathed out and shook his body softly to get some nerves away. 'Okay and... Austin? Is he coming too? Because I really don't want to be beaten up and he has threatened me quite some times.'

'He has no idea who is who and wouldn't have the courage to hit me. He knows I'm strong and will just start a fight with him,' I answered with a chuckle. 'Anyway, do you want to come inside?'

He smiled shortly but then grabbed my hand. 'No... I mean, yes, but-,' he started. 'Can you tell me who are inside? I don't know your friends well.'

'Of course.' I stepped back and looked through the window to see who were already inside. 'Basically, this house is Ivan's, he is chill. He doesn't say a lot to be fair, but just drinks quite a lot. I don't know, it seems like something is up. I think his parents are a bit weird?'

Sapnap nodded and glanced inside too, looking at the guy I pointed at. 'The blonde one?'

'Yeah. The guy next to him is Allen, you can better not say much to him. Not because he's not kind, because he is, but he can be blunt and I know you're easily upset by that. He's the guy who had an extreme car crash a while ago. His legs are paralysed, half of his leg is amputated and he has extreme chronic pain...'

'That sounds awful...' Sapnap stumbled. 'I hope he'll feel better, but maybe that's a dumb thing to say.'

'It's not, don't worry. Anyway, that's Lucas. He's very chill but sometimes very thoughtful so it takes a while before he speaks. He uses medication because he has severe Tourette's Syndrome, but he loves to play music. His parents want him to become a doctor, though...'

'I've never heard him have any tics?' Sapnap questioned, frowning slightly.

'Yeah, that's because he had a very good episode. Unfortunately, his tics have started to become worse again because he has to lower his medication dose after getting too many physical issues from them... So if he has tics, don't focus on them and ignore it.'

Sapnap agreed and I pointed to Austin. 'I know that guy... and I know Iris and some of the girls. Who is that? Is that Robbie?'

'Yeah, that's Robbie. He's probably one of my best friends right now,' I replied. 'Anyway, was that enough?'

'It was, thank you. Let's go inside,' he suggested.

I nodded and walked to the door to open it. Ivan left it open so everyone could go inside when they wanted to so I went inside with Sapnap by my side. I entered the hallway and stayed quiet as I hung up my coat, taking off my shoes as I put my bag next to some of the others.

'Do I just leave my stuff here as well?' Sapnap asked insecurely, causing me to nod. I grabbed his bag and put it on top of mine, focusing on the voices inside of the room next to the hallway.

'Cunt, go fuck your mom! Your mother is a whore. Cunt, cunt, asshole! Fa-fa-fa-fag! I'm sorry, I didn't mean- cunt! You're gay, you're gay!'

'That's Lucas,' I whispered as I leaned closer to Sapnap because I didn't want to risk anyone hearing me. 'As you can hear, he is having a lot of tics again. He hates his f-slur tic and always apologises, but he genuinely can't help it so don't be bothered by it. It upset him a lot too.'

'I don't mind, I know he can't help it,' Sapnap answered as we walked from the hallway to the living room where everyone, except for some who hadn't arrived yet, was sitting around the table with some bottles of alcohol, crisps and cola.

'You're a whore, cunt!' Lucas exclaimed, hitting his chest a few times in a row. 'Cunt! You look like a fa-... FAG! I'm sorry, I always try to... CUNT, stop the slur tic, but... cunt, cunt, your mom is a whore. But it makes it worse when I try- go fuck yourself and your mom, cunt...'

'No worries,' I answered with a smile, going to the table to grab a bottle of beer. 'I know you can't help it and so does everyone else here.'

I opened the bottle of beer and immediately drank a few sips, looking at Sapnap to see if he was comfortable. I noticed he was glancing at Austin with fear in his eyes and wrapped my arm around him when Austin stood up.

'Austin, please just leave us alone,' I spoke up when I saw him come closer to us. 'It was wrong what happened, but just enjoy this weekend without arguing or threatening anyone.'

Austin sighed deeply and backed off, eyes filled with hate. 'Maybe this weekend, but it'll literally be war after that. I don't care who of you did this, you'll both have to suffer.'

'Dude, just chill for once,' Robbie scoffed. 'I know that whatever happened sucks, but Iris was just as wrong as they were. Go talk to her first and leave it. It happened and won't change anymore.'

Lucas tried to agree but hit his hand with his fist, breathing in quickly and a few times in a row. 'Cunt, you look like a f-f-fa-fa... fag! I'm sorry... Anyway, I agree with, cunt, cunt, you're a whore! I agree with Robbie.'

'Whatever, just choose their side,' Austin groaned as he sat back down next to Ivan.

'I'm choosing no one's side, but I want this weekend to be fun and Sapnap to feel safe here for the first time,' Robbie answered. 'And as long as you haven't talked to Iris, you can't stay mad at them either.'

'Thank you...' Sapnap whispered shyly, moving closer to me for comfort...
