Radhika's pov

"Why do you want me to wear a blind fold?" I asked

"So you don't guess the place before reaching" Rishabh replied

"I don't like surprises" I said

"Just trust me, okay?"

I was too annoyed to reply him. First, I was really tired and wanted some good night sleep which isn't happening. Second, I'm in some blindfold God knows where going and third, I just hate surprises it is a way of giving a person anxiety attacks.

I didn't even know where we were going so I had no idea how to dress either. I asked Rishabh but he just said wear anything which was the most specific detail for tonight. Not knowing anything else I dressed in a olive floral printed wrap dress. I didn't do much makeup and nothing overboard with my hair either. I looked really normal incase he's taking me somewhere fancy.

"Okay we're here" he was holding my hand guiding my throughout.

"Finally. Can I see this thing now?"

"Easy tiger" he gently removed my blindfold.

It wasn't somewhere fancy rather it was very simple but beautiful. We were on a terrace roof which had artificial grass which was exactly looking like a park. A sheet was spread with a picnic basket next to it. There wasn't much lighting expect the moon glowing on the top. It was extraordinarily and as much as I hated the journey upto here. I'm in love with the destination.

"You liked it?" He nervously

"Like? I loved it. This is beautiful" I replied grinning "which building is this?"

"That was the whole point of blindfold. For you to not know about this"

I rolled my eyes and went to sat on the sheet where the setting was made. He knelt in front of me and looked straight into my eyes. The intensity of his eyes was enough for me to feel warm when chilly winds were blowing. Something about those eyes didn't let me look away.

"You know you're a really strong woman who knows the value of people and feelings in life. I admire your strength to get what you want but not on the cost of others. It amazes me how someone can be so sorted and calm about failures. I know your dad isn't very proud of you but that shouldn't stop from being you. Sometimes people just doesn't understand the value of the thing they've because they've never seen their life without it therefore it is easy to be taken granted for. He couldn't value the family he had because he wanted the family he always dreamed of. It is his unfortunate to not see the greatness in his daughter because I can see that and it is just extraordinary."

My eyes were tearing up hearing him speak like this. It wasn't just the words he was saying but the fact that he was being vulnerable in front of me to make me feel secure, made it special.

"You were the first person who snapped at me on her first day because I was a being a jerk. I found you intruding and obnoxious but all of that was so refreshing to witness. Your intruding nature has broken down my walls and I can finally see through what a beautiful life it is. Your smile is severely infectious. You've made my entire office smiling just like that. I'm so glad that even though I was a real pain in your ass you didn't give up and we became friends because I would never want it any other way. You're an incredible woman and you shouldn't let anything let you down because it would be shame if you did."

He smiled at me and I smiled back. It was the first genuine smile I've given anyone since the incident. I got up and wrapped my arms around his neck. My actions caught him off guard but soon he warmed up and wrapped his arms around me.

It felt safe, I felt wanted, I felt an emotion I haven't felt in years and as much as it scared me to go deep in this, I couldn't help but want to go further to see where this will lead me. His words were simple but thoughtful. His words held value and respect for me. His words were caring and it made me felt so much better.

"Was the effort worth it? Am I worth this?" I asked out of self doubt. I've been feeling self conscious ever since we've returned. I didn't like feeling so low, it was bothering me now.

He didn't reply and I became more anxious. He moved aside and laid on the sheet facing the sky. He patted the place next to him and asked me to lie down. I did as he asked me to do.

"Do you see the stars?" I nodded "How will you feel if we loose the stars? I mean we'll still have the moon but not the stars. It would feel incomplete like something which the basically the essence of the sky is missing. Even with the moon won't you miss the stars?"

"Um hm" I didn't know what he was trying to say but whatever it was I listened carefully.

"That's how it felt when you stopped smiling. Like everything was there still yet something so important was missing. You know your smile touches your eyes and there's a shine in your eyes when you smile. It can make anyone feel better but when you stopped it just felt incomplete, dull. Without that smile of yours, it makes the days very difficult." He paused for a while. I was looking at him but he was still looking at the sky. I felt there was something else he wanted to say but didn't. I kept staring at him, unable to move. "You're always going to worth it to me"

At that very moment I just wanted to kiss his ridiculously handsome face. At that moment I realized how much I've come to like him. At that moment my life felt perfect.

I woke up in the morning in my bed and I had no idea how I ended up here. I made my way to the living room I found Naina cooking.

"When did you get back? You were not there when I returned" I asked her

"I came at midnight and to my surprise you weren't there. I was worried so I called you to know about your whereabouts but you didn't pickup." She rolled her eyes.

" Sorry. I was-" As I was speaking she interrupted me

"Yeah so your hot boss came in later at night to drop you off. Speaking of which that man is incredibly hot and good looking " she smirked.

"Um. What are you talking about?"

"Don't act innocent now I know you guys were on a date but also anyone can say that is so into you" Naina answered

"It wasn't a date and he isn't into me"

"Oh yeah right. He came in last night with a sleepy you. I asked him not to bother and put you on the couch you'll be fine but he insisted on making you comfortable so he very gracefully took you in and tucked you to bed. Sweet, right"

"You wanted me to sleep on the couch?" I gasped

"Not the point I'm sa-"

Before she could further investigate this I waved my hands in front of her "I'm getting super late. I better get going. Bye bye"

I smiled to myself thinking about what Naina said. It felt nice to know that someone cares this much and knowing it was Rishabh I felt so much more than just nice.

It's been six months since our unofficially date if I may say and things are going pretty good. Rishabh and I have become more close which is great. We talk alot, joke alot and one can say we flirt too but nothing is official. It just there in the air as a possibility but nothing has happened. I mean sometimes I just want to jump on his bones and kiss his pretty face but I'm not very sure how he feel about me so I'm still waiting for him to make the first move.

Today one of the busiest and hetic day for me in office. Apparently Rishabh has fired his assistant for God knows what reason and nobody was ready to fill in for obvious reasons so I had to without much say in this. I've been doing my work as well as managing Rishabh's schedule and meetings. Half of the day has passed and now it was starting to tiring me, slowing down my process.

I was on phone talking to a client when I saw a woman come in. She seemed around my age maybe a year or ago elder. She was dressed in a fuchsia blouse tucked in a white shirt which reached just about her knees. Her fair were flowing down her shoulder and I'm not lying when I say she looked like some model coming out of shoot.

"Do you've an appointment?" I asked in a polite tone

"Are you the assistant?"

"No. I'm just filing in-"

"Yeah yeah. Could you just call Rishabh. I need to see him"

"He is busy and I don't think you've an appointment or anything so I think-"

"I don't need an appointment sweetie. Just call him okay"

I was already exhausted and now this woman was making my day more difficult than ever. I called Rishabh and ask him to come out. He came out reading some file "Who wants to-" he looked up and as his eyes landed on the woman in question he froze. His eyes widened and he just stood there like he saw some ghost or something.

"Hey husband" I heard the woman say and now it was my turn to freeze. I thought I was hallucinating or something but then he smriked at her and I was sure she said 'husband'.

"Chhaya?" It was merely a whisper but enough for me to hear the name of his wife apparently.

My brain was spinning so fast and my nerves were all over the places. All of a sudden the room seemed small to me and it was super awkward watching both of them staring each other like that. I couldn't a second, so I just kept all the stuff on the desk and ran up to the terrace for some fresh air.
