Radhika's pov

It's been almost a year since Rishabh and I got back together. An year of complete and utter happiness. It's strange how I wake up everyday and look forward to what's going to come next. It's exciting and makes me glad to be alive.

I enter our building where Rishabh and I share our apartment together. I opened the mailbox and took our mails. I scanned through the mails but stopped at one particular one, it was from my Dad. Apparently an year ago Rishabh flew to my house and said something to my father that changed his cold stone heart. He did something that I couldn't do in all these years. He made him apologize. But I couldn't forgive him, I wanted to but a part of me was just not ready to let it go. Ever since that day he keeps writing me letters, mostly saying he's sorry and how much regrets all the things he did in the past.

I put the letter in my handbag unopened and made my way to home. I've stopped reading those now, it's mostly painful as it reminds me of all the awful things he once said. I don't hate him or resent him, I just don't have it in me to forgive him. Maybe someday I can look past all this but not now.

I entered our house and Rishabh wasn't there he did not come to office saying he has work at home. I stepped in and dropped my bag on the table where I found a note.

I know you're searching for me but I've a little surprise for you. I know you hate surprises but this one is really special. To get the surprise all you've to do is follow the clues

With that another note slip

1. Get to your favourite spot and there stands your another clue

I laughed and followed his clue. My favorite spot in our house was the balcony. I myself handpicked all the flowers that I've planted. I love sitting there and looking at them, enjoying myself.

There was note attached to my favorite flower. I smelled the fragrance and carefully took the note out.

Go to our room for the next step

I went to our room and there was box with a note. I opened the box and there was a beautiful dress and matching earnings.

Get dressed and open my closet afterwards for the other step

I quickly got dressed up and went to his closet and there was a big box gift wrapped and note.

I know you want to open it but not now. Come to the dinner area for the final step.

I took the box and went downstairs. It was so wonderful to look at all the candles in dim light. My smile just grew bigger and bigger with each step. There was a last note on the table

Your surprise is
Me!

I turned around and there he stood with his beautiful smile and looking handsome as always.

"You look beautiful" he said as he gave me a perk on lips.

I smiled "I do, don't I?" He laughed. I showed him the big wrapped up box "Can I open it now?"

"Sure but after dinner which I've cooked specially for you"

We had dinner which was delicious and I could see all the effort that he has put into it. At that moment I felt most luckiest person alive. 

"You can open your present now"

I was really excited what was inside that big box. Although he has more than enough but I would still like to know what's inside it.

I opened the big box and it had another small l'il box in it. I opened the small box and grasped. It had a platinum band which said love.

I looked at Rishabh who was now on his knees.

"It took me so long to realize that you're the one I need the most. I actually fell for you before I even realized I did. You're the reason that my Mondays don't suck anymore. I love everything about you. I love how you twitch your eyes before waking. I love how you call yourself stupid everytime your key get stuck while locking the door. I love the face you make when you're trying not to cry. You've this incredible way of making me happy and I don't wanna let it go. Forever is a long time for a promise but I want everyday to be our forever. I never want to stop making memories with you. I was just a shadow of a person when I met you but then you came along and everything in this world started to make sense. I know our lives are not going to rainbows and unicorns all the time but even if it is the most imperfect life ever, I want it to be with you. So will you do me a little favor and marry me?"

By the time he finished I was desperately trying to make that face to stop myself from crying. He kissed my nose softly and smiled "Hmm..so?"

"Obviously. Yes. YES! Yes!"

You know how they say that one day you'll look up and everything ever happened will make sense. That one day for me is today, everything feels right. I feel I'm in the right place. My heart is calm and my soul is filled with joy. My thoughts are positive. My vision is clear. I'm in so much peace and all I'm looking forward to is our lives together. Just the way I imagined.
