That's when she saw him. A Lycan who stood entrapped in multiple chains. Her eyes widened and face paled at the sight, this was no ordinary Lycan.

Coiled around his body were dozens of metal chains that were binded into the wall. The Lycan stared at her in what appeared to be disbelief. The immense wolf whimpered and crouched down outstretching his arms towards Lilac, his chains restraining him from moving any further.

He was the scent, Lilac realised.

"Mate," she whispered in shock. "What have they done to you?"
