Blake : I looked around once again to be sure but she really was gone and she even took my laptop and files with her. I wanted to call her back home but then I remembered that I was the one who smashed it on the wall and now I can't even contact her or Cole .

Just in a second I was so furious . She is the only person who can change my mood with just a click of the fingers .

I hate her more now but I should at least go and check how she creates a fool out of herself in front of the investors. I quickly grabbed my car keys and headed downstairs.

The drive seemed to be so long, every time I tried to race my car there was traffic jam and I had to wait there with patience but that was so hard in my situation . I can't even count the number of people that I have shouted on today .

By the time I reached office it was 11:00am already and I knew that the meeting could start any moment . The meeting must have already started while I still stood there, waiting for the elevator to arrive. I jumped in the moment it arrived and quickly pressed the floor number . This elevator needs a hell lot of update . I'll just have to keep that in mind.

Soon I was in front of the conference room . I waited for a moment to catch my breath and then entered the room. The room fell silent as everyone brought their attention towards me .

I walked in with as much confidence as I could have . I admit I was a bit nervous as this meeting would affect my whole life and I am late in it .

I apologised to everyone in the room and the investors nodded in acceptance. Then I headed over the other end, where I had to sit . I searched around where everyone was seated to check if Alyssa and Cole were here . Cole was sitting in front of me while Al was nowhere to be seen . All the seats were filled except the one right besides me . I wanted to ask Cole about her when I heard a voice which increase my heartbeat to thrice it's speed .

" I'll start again for Mr Jensen to catch up . So as I was explaining you all about, how we can import our resources from countries where we might have a comparative cost advantage than employing thousands of worker with high salaries. This would thus decrease our cost of production and increase the profit margin and then we could even ........" my head automatically turned upwards towards her direction and there she was standing in front of the table explaining each and every concept in an expertise manner . Like she had been doing it for years . She didn't seemed to be nervous instead she looked confident about all the offers that we were providing the investors. The first thing that is required in business is to have confidence in whatever the idea is. Such that even if it is impossible or unrealistic in reality  but the ones investing must be interested and believing the story that we provide them.

I was mesmerized with the way she explained each and every point to perfection. She kept glancing at my side but quickly use to turn her gaze in the other direction whenever I would try to make eye contact.

She was looking so intimidating in a really sexy manner . The suit fitted her body perfectly and she looked a real professional and a pure gem.

She is really a gem and she is my gem . She is all mine . No Blake, get a grip what are you even thinking . It's just her excellence in her work, just that and nothing else . With that I diverted my attention more towards the investors ignoring Alyssa .

Alyssa: I was extremely nervous when I entered the office . I quickly went over to the reception to enquire about the meeting .
" hello ma'am how may I help you " she asked with a small smile .

" can you please tell me the way towards the conference hall and please check the status of the 11 am meeting " she looked at me with wide eyes and then went back to her computer to recheck about it .

" sorry ma'am you have to wait till
4 pm as the conference room is packed with meetings and all the meetings are confidential so I can't really tell you about it ." She said again with a small smile.

" I know the meeting is with the investors and I am a part of this meeting . I have important documents which are required for this meeting so please tell me the way . " i said in a pleading manner.

"Okay ma'am but can you please show me your I'D card so I could verify " she is stiff in her mannerisms but that is not something I want to deal right now .

" See I was getting really late and so I forgot my ID.  I know that it is your job to inquire but this meeting is important so you tell me where this conference hall is right now . Besides I am your boss's wife, Alyssa Jensen so I don't think you are in a position to stop me ." I said with a bigger smile but it soon dropped with her next comment .

" sorry ma'am you still can't enter as you don't have an identity. Which one of the boss you are referring to exactly? Because we don't really have any information  about any of our senior getting married and again I would request you to settle down and wait for
someone to arrive and confirm your identity ." She said .

Her words broke me inside . I left my entire life and I am not even recognised . Leave recognition, no one even knows the fact that we are married that he is married .

And here I am wanting to help him in his business . I was so stupid to even think that he cared for me for the past weak . That's it from now on I will never show him my sweet and kind side . He calls me a slut, a bitch so he'll get that now .

Let's see how much can he tolerate .

I was shaken out of my thoughts as Cole entered . He had a genuine smile as he entered and without even acknowledging the receptionist he took my hand and directed towards the conference room .

We discussed about all the inputs I had and he gave me a few suggestions here and there . We quickly prepared ourselves as the investors arrived .

I was a bit nervous but he encouraged me and pursued me to have confidence in myself .

Soon the room was filled with people and I just recognised Cole and Blake wasn't even there . This increased my nervousness but I wanted to do this and prove my worth to Blake . I didn't budge and started with the meeting with as much confidence as I could have.

I was in the middle to explain the offers that our company was providing when the door opened and everybodies attention turned towards the door to look at the person .

But I knew who that could be . I knew it was Blake without even looking at him . He was the only person who could attend a meeting which means everything so late .

I didn't want to acknowledge his presence by even looking at him . so the moment he settled and greeted everyone . I started all over again .

I didn't even eyed him once but I could feel a pair of eyes constantly focusing on me . But I ignored his existence like the way he want .

I continued explaining each and every point and I could feel everyone's interest as I explained .

For once I tried to look at Blake to check for his interest but it seemed as if his interest was some where else as instead of listening he was checking me out shamelessly . I felt a shiver on my back . I effortlessly tried to divert his attention but he continuously checked me out .

I am telling you, he is no professional if he does such a thing in such an important meeting . After a while he shifted his attention and I was glad but soon my presentation was over and the discussion started on the profit margin . I looked around for my seat to find it nowhere else but right next to Blake .

If I was nervous before then now I was nervous to the power infinity .
I slowly went over and settled down next to him maintaining my posture .

He didn't even looked at me once as I was seated next to him . Wow you checkout the person who is handling the meeting but now when the person is seated you don't even acknowledge their presence.

I just looked down at my hands and focused nowhere else . I was in deep thoughts about our sad married life when I felt a hand covering mine in a sweet gesture .

I followed the hand to look at the person but I was surprised as I met Blake's eyes . They were full of appreciation and were shining a bit . In a very low voice he said
" you were perfect today Al so don't be afraid everything is going to turnout to be fine and it's all thanks to you ." he said giving me a sweet genuine smile .

He didn't leave my hand just then but he continued making circles in my palm . The movement of his fingers just brought back my energy . The rest of the meeting went smoothly with his hand holding mine and I could feel even him getting affected by this gesture .

I was glad that for the first time we shared a small and sweet moment but I know that even this wouldn't last for ever but I love the while it exists ..
