They were all sitting silent, until they heard shrieks coming from upstairs.

They got up at once and ran to their sister's room. Pushing the door open, Lorenzo rushed inside.

Amelia was sitting on the floor, curled up and clutching her head as she shrieked, her eyes clenched shut. Her fingers digging into her hair and the skin of her head as she fought to stay conscious.

She was just looking around the room when her head started hurting out of nowhere. She hadn't seen any blue eyes, but it hurt so much.

The pain was so intense, it made her feel dizzy. Her ears closed. She could just feel pain. She couldn't hear anything. Her legs gave up as the stress on her brain increased and she sunk to the ground and stared screaming, which the brothers heard and here they are.

"Oh my god." Roman said as he rushed to her.

"Mason, call Eliza. Quick." Lorenzo ordered as he went to her other side.

Mason quickly pulled out his phone while Lorenzo picked her up and took her out of the room, Roman following them closely.

Roman opened the door to the room nearest to them, which happened to be Lorenzo's. Lorenzo entered and sat down on the bed. Roman came to sit beside him and grabbed her hands and pulling them away from her head.

"Open your eyes for me, honey. Your safe. We're gonna do something for the pain, okay?" Roman said, hoping she would hear him and stop screaming and calm down. Hoping his soothing voice will soothe the pain she was feeling.

Suddenly the shrieks stopped. Roman glanced at Lorenzo with a worried look on his face.

Lorenzo looked down at her to find her unconscious. Roman panicked.

"Oh no! Lorenzo, do something. What're we gonna do? It's hurting her. I can't take it." Roman said as his voice shook.

"Get out of my way. Where's she?" A female voice shrieked as they recognized it to be Eliza's.

Eliza was the mafia doctor and their friend.

"In Lorenzo's room." Mason's voice was heard before the door slammed open and Eliza rushed inside.

"Oh honey!" she said looking at the little girl in his arms.

"Put her on the bed." She ordered, when the Doctor mode turned on.

Lorenzo got up and laid her on the bed and took a step back as she pulled out her stethoscope and sphygmomanometer. She checked her pulse and blood pressure before turning to them and sighing in relief.

"Everything's fine for now. She's just unconscious due to stress." She sighed in relief, before asking. "What happened, exactly?"

"I don't know. She was in her room and we were in the living room when we heard her scream. We found her on the floor, clutching her head and screaming in pain." Roman told her. She furrowed her eyebrows.

"She said, her head hurts when she looked into our eyes." Lorenzo said. "And she doesn't remember anything about us. She was five when she was taken."

Meanwhile, Mason and Jace were pacing in the hallway outside, waiting for Grayson to come.

"What happened?" Grayson asked as soon as he saw them pacing worriedly, confusion etched on his face.

About 3 minutes later, hearing the rushed story from them, he stormed into the room.

The conversation stopped as he went to sit on the other side of the bed.

"You were closer than we expected." He said stroking her beautiful brown hair.

Roman and Eliza smiled at him as he looked at his sister, lovingly.

"Let's go to my office." Lorenzo said making his way out of the room. Roman and Eliza followed.

Reaching the office, they took a seat and looked at Eliza expectantly.

"So, you said she doesn't remember you and she was taken when she was five?" She asked as both of the guys nodded.

"That can only mean, she was given some drugs." They looked at her weirdly, shock written on their faces.

"Not all drugs are for getting high. She was given a drug that caused her to lose her memory after she was taken. That can be the only possibility." She said while biting her lip and furrowing her eyebrows, focusing on something.

"About the headache, either the effect is wearing off or she never really forgot your eyes. Your eyes don't change that much or at all when you grew up."

"So when she looks into your eyes, her brain is trying to remember how she is associated with you or her brain is digging up the memories."

"I know she was five, but the most she could forget would be your face and names. She wouldn't be completely oblivious about having someone like you in her life, a family, her brothers."

"She said it hurt the most when she looked at Lorenzo." Roman said as Lorenzo nodded.

"We all know he spent the most time with her. That means more memories and more stress." She said in a duh tone.

"You didn't change the room. That is the reason she fainted from the pain. Its still the way it was. I'd suggest you keep her away from the room. It can cause major problems if she faints from headache again and again. Its going to cause direct damage to her brain." She said as the guys nodded.

"She kept staring at Lorenzo in the car, saying her brain is saving the image of our faces or something?" Roman said.

Eliza smiled. "She's smart. That's exactly what is happening. When she looks at your faces or your eyes, to be specific, for more than one time, the brain is not relating it to a memory, its saving the images as a real person. That's why it doesn't hurt that much, after getting used to it."

"Wow. You know so much." Roman said, in an appreciative tone.

Eliza smiled then looked at her watch.
"I gotta go now. I'll see you later sometime. I'll meet her in a better situation." She said standing up and leaving the office.

Ava's POV

My eyes fluttered open as I stared at nothing. I didn't tie my leg last night. Good thing I was exhausted.

Why is everything so exhausting and confusing?

Everything changed in the past twenty four hours.

I was just a nobody, who was ignored at home, at school, had no friends because of some stupid rules.

Now, I get to know, the people who I saw as parents my whole life, no matter what they did, were not even related to me. Meeting my biological family, the same day. My brothers. Then getting to know, my name is not actually Ava. Its Amelia.

Turning my head slightly, I saw someone half laying, half sitting on the bed with his head on the headboard. I turned the bedside lamp on.

Grayson?

I noticed his hand was in my hair as he slept peacefully. I raised my head to look at the wall clock in the room. Its one in the morning.

I turned the lamp off again and turned around so I was facing Grayson now.

Should I wake him up and ask him to lay down properly?

I was still thinking about it when I heard footsteps approaching the room. The door opened and someone stepped in. Judging by the height, it was most probably, Lorenzo.

He started coming towards the bed as I closed my eyes, pretending to sleep.

"You're awake." He whispered as he came near me.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, opening my eyes.

"Its my room?" He said, but it came out more as a question.

"Oh. Yeah. Sorry. What is Grayson doing here?" I asked.

"It's his house?" Lorenzo said in the same tone as before.

"He's your brother." He said, now realising what I actually meant by my question.

The room fell silent.

"How are you feeling?" He whispered.

"Exhausted." I said after a moment, not wanting to engage in a conversation with him.

"You need to rest more. Go to sleep." He said, more like ordered.

I just hummed and turned around. He moved Grayson a bit so he was in a comfortable position now.

I can't sleep.

I waited till he was out of the room before getting up, which was a hard task. It felt like all the energy was drained from my body.

Clutching the blanket tighter, I got up and got out of the room. The hallways were empty and it was completely silent.

Let's find out more about the mansion.

I started walking back on the same way we came up here and reached the main door.

My first thought was to run away. But that was not possible with such high security outside. Besides, the door is probably attached to an alarm and there are cameras in the house.

I turned to my right and started walking down the hallway, opening doors to see what room it was. I came across a big room with couches and beanbags and a huge TV in it.

Closing the door softly, behind me I admired the big screen. I was not allowed to touch any device. No TV, No phones.

They won't mind if I watch it, will they?

So what if they do? I didn't beg them to let me stay here.

Also, I don't want to live upto someone's rules and expectations now. If they don't like it, they can let me go.

Moving closer to the TV, I found the remote and picked it up.

I sat on the couch and turned the TV on.

Daniel taught me how to use a computer. He would tell me about TV and phone too. I know how to operate them but I didn't try to watch TV at home, not wanting to

break the rules. I hugged my blanket tightly and laid down on the couch. It was so soft, I wanted to melt into it. I flipped through the channels, when something caught my eye.

It was a black and white video of a man wearing a suit with a hat and having a stick in his hand. He looked funny with the expressions he made. I love his mustache. The title read: Charlie Chaplin.

It was a silent video. He was doing funny stuff and annoying other people, which was funny. I freaking smiled watching that. And that's saying something.

I kept it on zero volume because I didn't want to wake anyone up. The room was lit by the light from the TV. I don't know when I dozed off, a small smile on my face.
