"Where were you? I was looking for you." Mason said, as he found me roaming in the hallways.

"In the hospital room." I said. He smiled at me.

"You were talking to her?" He asked. I nodded.

"I thought she'll be alone. So I just ramble about everything." I said.

I don't know what it is. Maybe I feel the mother daughter bond. I want to tell her everything. I want to gossip with her about my classmates and their relationships.

"That's good. Maybe she'll wake up soon, listening to your voice." He said, his eyes filled with hope.

"Yeah. Hopefully." I said, giving him a smile.

"Let me tuck you in, little baby." He booped my nose.

"Ugh. I'm not a baby, Mason." I whined, hugging his arm and walking by his side to my room.

"Don't stress out about anything, okay? You don't have to call them Mom and Dad just now. They won't mind." He said.

"I still feel bad. I mean, who calls their father, Mr. Costello?" I said.

"Well, Jace used to. Whenever he fought with him, he'd be like, 'I'm going to leave and then come back after some years, when I'll be a rich businessman, then you won't be able to scold me, Mr. Costello'." He said, making his voice small and kid-like at the end, mimicking Jace.

I laughed.
"What did he reply to that?" I asked.

"Dad would say, 'We'll be business partners then, Mr. Costello'." Mason chuckled at the thought. I laughed.

I'm happy they had a happy childhood.

We entered my room. He adjusted the duvet and tucked me in. He kissed my forehead and stroked my hair, until I was sleepy, before walking out.

I was just about to sleep when my phone rang.

"Yes?" I asked, slightly irritated by whoever stopped me from sleeping.

"Hey, baby. Missed me?" I heard him say.

"Yeah." I mumbled. "You?"

"Of course, I did." Ashton said, quickly.
I was already having butterflies.

"How's Italy?" He asked.

"It's great here. I was so stressed out about meeting my parents. But they're nice. I still can't call them mom and dad, though. I just can't get myself to do it." I mumbled, sitting up a little.

"That's ok. They'll understand. They're nice people. We've lived with them for a long time. Me and Damon." He said. "You don't need to worry about what you call them, they know what happened. They know you lost trust in these titles the day you found out the truth."

"Yeah. I'm still ashamed of not knowing they were alive and blaming them for something they never did."

"Don't worry about it. You were emotionally worked up at that time and unwilling to trust. Its not your fault." He said, sweetly.

Did I mention I love him? Its just so refreshing to talk to him.

"I love you, Ashton." I muttered before I could even comprehend what I said.

The line went silent. Ashton didn't speak for a whole minute, neither did I.

I think I shouldn't have said it.

"I love you too." He said.

"Why'd it take you so long?" I gritted.

"Chill. A guy needs to get over a shock." He said, dramatically. "I'm lucky this badass girl loves me."

"And I'm lucky this cool but sweet guy loves me." I said, smiling like an idiot.

"Can we facetime, now?" He asked.

"Yeah. Why not?" I said, grabbing my headphones.

My phone rang.
"Hey." He said, as soon as I accepted his call.

"Hi." I said. I kept looking at him. I miss him so much already.

"Come back soon." He said. I nodded.

"Why don't you come to Italy?" I asked.

"I don't know. I need to ask Damon." He said. "I so want to meet you."

"Me too." I yawned, as my eyes started closing at their own accord.

He chuckled.
"We'll talk later. You need to rest. Goodnight. Love you." He said. I smiled.

"Love you too." I said.

"That's it? That all I get?" He said, sadly. I rolled my eyes and kissed my phone.

"Sending virtual hugs and kisses and cuddles." I said as he started sending flying kisses towards me.

"Okay, bitch. Let me sleep now." I said, finally tired of his never ending sweet actions. He chuckled and finally hung up.

----------

I woke up early the next morning. I showered and went out of the room. I started roaming around the mansion, turning random hallways and passing many rooms.

I stopped when a door caught my attention. It was a pastel door with a golden knob. It was the decorations that gained my attention. The door was beautifully decorated, with butterflies, flowers, fairy lights and many things.

Something inside me told me I should enter the room.

But what if I'm not allowed to?
What if no one's allowed to?
What if they get angry at me for entering the room?
It may be something private.

I started thinking about why it wasn't appropriate for me to enter without permission.

Then one thought overruled all of the other thoughts, telling me not to enter. That is,

Fuck it! I'm the mafia princess.

I put my hand on the knob and without thinking, I rotated it and entered the room. It was dark inside.

I looked around when my eyes caught sight of a shiny green square board on the wall.

Radium.

That's smart.

I moved towards it and flipped the lights on. I was astounded by the lights. There was also a chandelier in the middle of the ceiling. The lighting system was very impressive.

I lowered my gaze to look around the room.

Third POV.

Francesco sat in the kitchen with his three oldest kids, drinking black coffee. He was talking to them, more like listening to them, tell him stories of them after Amelia moved in.

Suddenly, they started hearing shrieks from somewhere. Francesco stood up at once, thinking its Elena. But Lorenzo recognized the shrieks he didn't want to hear again. The screams that made him want to cry.

"Shit!! Amelia." He yelled before running out at full speed. He climbed up the stairs, three at a time with the others following him closely behind.

He followed where the sounds were coming from and reached the room, breathing heavily. Slamming the door open, he scanned the room, trying to find his angel and the reason she went through this again.

The room had pictures and paintings of the family. Every memory was stored here. Every picture they took, was used to decorate the walls of this room. Though, those with Amelia were especially decorated with fairy lights.

Lorenzo's gaze fell to the floor where Amelia sat with her hands over her ears and her nails digging into her hair. She pulled at her hair. Lorenzo rushed towards her.

Before he could even reach her, she became motionless. Her shrieks stopped and she fell to the floor. Lorenzo picked her up immediately and took her out of the room, pushing his father and brothers out of the way.

Everyone was awake now. Jace and Grayson ran towards the source of the sound. They stopped when they saw Lorenzo, with an unconscious Amelia in his arms.

"Oh God! What happened?" Grayson panicked while Jace's eyes filled with tears.

"I'll call the doctor." Their Dad shouted, taking his phone out of his pocket.

"I need Eliza." Lorenzo shouted.

"But she's not in-" Mason began but was cut off.

"I don't care. Ask her to come here. Its an emergency. Arrange a private jet." He said.

They had reached her room now. He laid her down on the bed and took her hands in his, kissing them.
