"You are not coming here for a while." Daniel ordered as he stared at the door.

"You don't need to worry about that." I said. His head snapped towards me and his furious gaze met my challenging one.

"I'll break your legs if it means you're not coming here." He threatened.

"I'll shoot you in the head if you dare to do that. I've said it countless times and I'll say it again. You do not matter to me and I should not matter to you too. So, stay out of my business." I snapped and got up, ready to leave.

"I don't know what is up with you and why you keep distancing yourself from everyone." He said, frustratedly as he stood up.

"I can't leave you alone too because I know that's what you want." He said pinching the bridge of his nose. He sighed.

"I can take care of myself. I don't need anyone." I said, emotionlessly.

"Why are you so emotionless?" He huffed angrily.

The next second, he was stumbling, trying to gain his balance as my fist came in contact with his jaw.

"Do not ask questions." I gritted as he glared at me.

He started throwing punches and kicks as I kept blocking him. I tried punching him again but he dodged each hit skillfully.

After a long time of fighting, he grabbed the collars of my jacket and threw me in a chair. He kept his hands on my shoulders to keep me in place. I struggled to get up but he kept pushing me down.

"This is the only moment when I get an emotion out of you. While fighting. Just anger and frustration." He said as he stood back up, when I stopped struggling.
I just crossed my arms and huffed.

"How do you feel?" He asked flopping down on his seat.

"Better." I muttered though I didn't want to admit it.
"See. I know how to make you feel better." He smirked. "We have a great bond which you keep ignoring."

"No we do not." I muttered as he just shook his head.

"I'm tired." He whined like nothing happened.

"Go sleep then and don't ever wake up." I said as I stood up to leave.

"You are so mean." He said.

"I'll take that as a compliment." I said as I walked out.

Sneaking back inside, I flopped down on my bed as my mind swirled with thoughts and memories. Just random stuff.

'Why are you so emotionless?'

I tried to push this question to the back of my mind. The answer to this question hurts. Just thinking about it brought back so many memories which I want to bury.

I sighed and got up to get the cloth with which I tie my leg to the bed. I sleepwalk if I dream of some memory or something. I don't remember all of them though.

I woke up at 6 the next morning. I had school. Putting the red hair and brown contacts on, I pulled the hood over my head and made my way to school.

I entered the building to be greeted by the same crowded hallways. Bowing my head, I start walking to the lockers.

I'm the quiet nerd here. No one even tries to talk to me, because either they think I'm too much of a show off regarding my grades or just have a bitchy attitude. They just judged me before even trying to talk to me.

But its good, I think. I'm not allowed to have friends. Again, I don't even know why.

The day went by peacefully until I was called to the principal's office. I stood up and shuffled to his office. He was the only person I talk to in school. I talk to my teachers too but that is just to answer a question or something.

I pushed the doors open and stormed inside.

"What?" I said putting my palms flat against the desk.

"Do you remember my parents asked every teacher to keep an eye on me?" I narrowed my eyes as the middle aged man stared back at me with a bored expression.

"Do you even know how angry they would be if they got to know I was called by the principal in the middle of class and probably that effing maths teacher, who is the biggest snitch I've ever met, will tell them a completely different story?"

"I didn't even do anything this time. I didn't even paint anywhere in the building since three days. I don't even know why that is a bad thing."

I huffed and looked at him as he raised an eyebrow.

"Are you done?" He asked with amusement lacing his voice.

"Ugh. Yeah." I said flopping into a seat.

"We're gonna talk about the painting later. But first, this man insisted he wanted to meet you. Apparently, he thinks he's your brother." He said gesturing to the man, who I now took notice of, leaning against the wall
beside the door. Tall guy, taller than Daniel.

I looked him from head to toe then finally looked into his eyes which were bright blue.

Is it blue eyed men day? Because these men have added too much drama in my life already.

A sudden pain shot through my head as I stared into his blue orbs. The pain making me feel like throwing up. I clenched my eyes shut trying to reduce the pain. I opened them again and avoided looking at him, not knowing why it pains.

I looked at him with a ridiculous expression as Principal matched my expression with his own.

"The fuck?" Was all I could say.

The principal raised an eyebrow. Before he could scold me, I said.

"Sorry. I mean, huh?"

The guy came to sit at the chair to the right of the desk, staring at me intently, while I avoided looking into his eyes again, due to the pain I've experienced.

"Are you sure she is the one?" He asked the Principal as I took a chance to pick some of the chocolates that he kept at his desk.

"Yeah. This is Ava Winston." He said as the guy turned to look at me again. I matched his stare, well looked at his nose while eating a small bite of the chocolate. Just a little bite.

"Are your hair naturally red?" He asked me.

Suddenly, I felt a little nervous.

"Yeah." I nodded. "Why? Am I called here just to question my identity?" I asked, trying to show my anger while I was a nervous wreck inside.

'No one should know about your identity or question your appearance.'
Moms words kept repeating in my mind as I just stood up and stormed out.

----------------------

Finally, school was over and I was back on my way home. I can't even wait to hide in my room.

I think I'm cursed. Every blue eyed guy is bad news for me.

Pushing the door open, I entered the big mansion only to hear hushed voices come from the living room.

'If we have someone over, stay in your room, unless its him.'

I started going to my room, but Mom probably heard me because she came and grabbed my upper arm.

"If you say anything wrong, you'll not like the consequences." She warned just like she always does. It just confirms its him.

Ryan Brown. He is my parent's friend and he's the only person who have seen my real appearance. But he seems too bossy to be a friend. Like, who calls their friend Mr. Brown. Honestly, he makes me sick. I don't like the way he looks at me.

I sighed and started heading to the living room. The room went completely silent as I entered.

The man sat elegantly on an armchair. He's probably 28. I don't know.
He looked at me and smirked.

"Hello Ava." He greeted as I just stayed expressionless. His black orbs boring holes into me.

"Hello, Mr. Brown." I said in a small voice.
'Just kill yourself already.'

"How's it going here?" He asked.

"Great." I replied with the same resting face. 'Better without you.'

"You don't have any problems, do you?" He asked.

"No." I replied. 'Except you.'

He hummed. "I'll take my leave now, Chris. Take good care of her." He said standing up and giving Dad a look.

"Of course, Mr. Brown." Dad said as he stood up too.

"Bye Ava. I'll see you soon." He said before walking past me and leaving. I watched him go with a look of disgust etched on my face.

I shook my head and headed to my room.

I don't know why they are so secretive. I've tried eavesdropping on them but got nothing. I want to know what they do and why are they keeping secrets.

What even are these secrets? Why'd  they treat their own daughter like this? What have I ever done to them?

Why does Ryan bother so much about how I live here? He's probably suspicious about my parents.

I laid on my bed and closed my eyes. The events of the whole day swirled in my mind. The blue eyed man. The pain I felt in my head when I looked into his eyes.

Suddenly, the room felt suffocating.

So, as usual, I'm in my closet looking for a hoodie to wear with my black sweatpants, getting ready to head to the base. Putting the blonde hair and green contacts on, I grabbed my gun and headed to the base.

Daniel gave me the gun, because he wanted it to be a friendship symbol. He has a similar one. I hate that he does. I don't want to be his friend, but I had no other choice. I needed a gun if I wanted to stay.

I was about to reach the base. The whole way there, I felt like I was being followed. I reached the base and entered after the guard confirmed it was me.

I entered, only to be greeted by a certain glare that tends to scare me sometimes. I ignored it and went into my office.

"Boss." I greeted nodding my head as I saw the man casually sitting in a chair in my office.

He nodded at me.

"The gang should not shut down. We can't lose what we have built in years. You have the access to all the information that could get everyone arrested or killed. You will be targeted, but no matter what happens, do not disclose anything." He said as I just kept nodding my head.

He stood up to leave. He stopped beside me and put a hand on my shoulder before leaning in to whisper.

"If you are unable to fulfil the smallest of the instructions, you know what happens. Don't want you to die this young." He said patting my shoulder once then walking out, a smirk etched on his face.

I sighed and flopped down on my seat and closed my eyes.

Suddenly, I felt myself being raised by the collar of my hoodie and pushed up against the wall. I opened my eyes, only to see Daniel's furious gaze.

"I think I told you not to come. I would've covered up for you. But you chose to be a brat and look, you just got threatened." He growled as I saw him clenching his jaw, trying to control his anger.

"I don't care what you said, Daniel. Put me down. You know you can't scare me." I said as I tried to get him to loosen his grip but to no use.

"Of course you don't care, or you would've obeyed me for once." He said while lowering me to the ground, then getting his hands off my hoodie.

I just glared at him as he rolled his eyes and settled himself on a chair.

"Get out." I gritted.

He looked up at me angrily.
"Sit your ass down and shut the fuck up." He growled. I just sighed and sat down, knowing he's too stubborn to leave me alone.

"What're you gonna do today?" He asked after a while.

"Just tightening the security and checking the footage to see if there's any sign of an attack. I doubt they give empty threats." I said as I looked through the camera footages.

My breathing hitched as I jumped up.

"Oh no." I gasped. Daniel stood up abruptly and came to stand beside me looking into the computer.

There was a man in the shadows who just fired some red smoke into the air and I saw men charging on the building.

"We are outnumbered." Daniel said as he started to bite his lip, visibly nervous and deep in thought. He got his gun out and took the safety off as I did the same.

"You need to hide or get away. You're the target." He said looking at me, leaving no room for arguement.

"We are surrounded." I said.

"That's why you're hiding." He said picking me up effortlessly and trying to put me up on the wooden closet I have in my office, just for emergency.

It had a space like a box above it that was just open from the top and could hide anyone well if they curled into a ball.

"But I sensed someone following me. They know I'm here. They'll kill all of you for hiding me." I rushed out.

"And you're telling me this now?" He bellowed angrily.
"Just stay there and don't move or you're gonna regret it." He said angrily.

I complied and curled into a ball slowing my breathing down and waiting for whatever was gonna happen.

I heard the door flying open and gunshots were heard. I knew Daniel was putting up a great fight but we were heavily outnumbered.

After some minutes, the room fell silent. I tried to get my breathing in control and just wished Daniel was okay.

I heard the click of a gun.
"Where is she hiding?" I heard the familiar voice of Mason Costello ask. I started feeling pain in my head as Mason's image formed in my mind.

"Wherever she is, ask her to come out, or I'll shoot you." He warned. I tried not to panic.

"She's not here." Daniel said, no fear evident in his voice.

"Fine we'll just kill you then. You're useless." Aaron's voice was heard. I heard a gun being loaded.

"Wait!!"
