"Lorenzo?" I called out knocking on his office door.

"Come in." His voice was heard. I opened the door and popped my head in.

"Do you need something, angel?" He asked from behind his desk.

"Yeah. Actually, I want to talk about something." I said. I wanted to get his permission and talk about Daniel.

I took a seat as he shifted all the papers and put them aside.

"The information about Daniel. Can I know, what you got to know about him?" I asked. He got up and pulled a file out of a cabinet. Passing the file to me, he took a seat again.

Daniel Wilson
Present age: 17
Works for the blood rivals gang.
Most trained and experienced assassin.

Left at the doorstep of an orphanage at 1 year of age.
Adopted at 9 by John emerson.
Kicked out at 14 by foster parent, for being gay.
Joined the gang some weeks after.
No family records found.

"This is it?" I asked, looking at Lorenzo.

There's not even the mention of his sister. That's really weird.

"Yeah. It's kinda sus, considering I'm powerful enough to get more information.." I opened my mouth to say something.

"Unless," he continued, not wanting me to interrupt him. "Unless, there's someone behind, erasing all the information." He finished.

I need to find this someone.

"What're you thinking?" Lorenzo asked. I shook my head.

"Nothing." I said. "I gotta go."

I stood up and ran out of his office.

Wait a minute! I stopped in my tracks and turned back around. I started walking towards his office again.

Barging in, I took a seat again. He looked amused.

"What? Miss me already?" He asked.

"I wanted to ask for something." I said rubbing the back of my neck. He nodded, waiting for me to continue.

"A guy, Josh wants to hang out this weekend." I said, changing the statement, so it sounds more as a friendly meet up. Lorenzo raised an eyebrow.

I can see a big NO coming my way.

"Josh as in your crush?" Lorenzo gritted his teeth while giving me a dangerous glare.

"How do you know?" I asked, shocked. I didn't tell anyone I had a crush on him.

"I know everything." He growled. "Is this the guy you were checking out?" He glared at me.

I gulped and shifted in my seat.
"Yeah." I squeaked. He looks so scary right now.

"He wants to hang out?" He said. I opened my mouth to say something but he continued. "As a date?"

I saw his jaw clench. I wonder if it was a bad idea to ask him.

"Yes." I mumbled.

"What was that?" He growled.

"Yes." I said, louder this time.

"So, you want to tell me that your CRUSH asked you out on a date." He said as he clenched and unclenched his jaw. I nodded.

"I'm saying this for the first and last time, Amelia. Don't you ever dare to twist the truth." He gritted. I nodded my head.

"I can't hear nods, baby." He said, in a stern voice.

I guess this is his strict side. This just makes me more careful. I don't want to disappoint him and permanently be on his strict side.

"Okay." I answered. He leaned back and rubbed his hand on his forehead. He stared at me intensely for a long time.

If he says NO. I'm going to sneak out. He's not gonna find out. But if he does, I'm dead.

I'll run away. But I don't wanna leave here now.

But I made it clear, I want to live on my own terms.

"Okay, you can go." He sighed, with a defeated look on his face. "But, If I find out you were somewhere alone with him, you won't like the consequences."

I nearly squealed with joy. I jumped up and ran to him. Throwing my arms around him, I kept repeating the same thing.

"Thank you, Thank you....." I kept repeating. He just chuckled a little.

------------------

I ran out of his office, practically jumping with joy.

"What happened?" Jace asked, grabbing my upper arm and turning me around.

"What makes you think I'll tell you?" I smiled sweetly.

"My brain?" He retorted. I smirked.

"Oh. I didn't know you had one!" I exclaimed, struggling to get out of his hold.

"Now you know. Why are you so giggly?" He asked. I smirked.

He wants to know. Ok.

"I don't think you'd like to know." I said. He was losing his patience.

"Oh, I'd love to know." He gritted. "I have a ouija board."

What's that got to do with it?

I looked at him with a ridiculous expression on my face before it hit me.

Oh. He means he'll kill me then ask my ghost about it.

I motioned him to bend down and whispered.
"A guy asked me out." I smirked when I saw his face turn red from anger and his grip tightened slightly.

"Josh?" He spat.

I nodded.
"Josh." I confirmed. "We are going on a date." I said emphasising 'date'.

"No you're not." He ordered, glaring at me dangerously. "He'll be dead before you even get to see him."

"And who are you? My guardian already gave permission." My smirk widened as he looked at me with shock etched on his face.

"Hopefully, he'll give his blessings too. If you know what I mean." I whispered. Jace looked like he got hit by a truck.

"He's giving you too much freedom." He gritted. He couldn't do anything.

"My only condition was to let me live on my own, away from everything. But I didn't get that because I was forced to come here. I think its fair to ask for freedom. I want to do whatever I want to do." I said, turning serious.

I didn't want to live here. I told them I wouldn't follow any rules and not to expect anything from me. If I want to do something I will.

What I had feared has happened. I'm getting attached to them. I don't want that.

"You don't know anything, little sister." Jace said, before releasing his grip and walking away.

What does that mean?

---------------------

At dinner.

I skipped into the dining room. I told Josh about me getting permission. He was so excited.

Sitting down at my seat, I just kept to my thoughts.

I'm going on a date with my CRUSH. Wow. We're gonna be a fab couple.

"Can you stop blushing like an idiot?" Mason snapped, looking really annoyed.

"Sure." I shrugged, trying to hide my embarrassment.

"I don't even get it. Why are you allowing her to do things, she shouldn't be doing at her age?" Mason asked looking at Lorenzo.

"What? Going on a date? Normal teenagers do that." I butted in.

"I didn't ask you, little girl." He growled as his gaze snapped towards me.

"But the 'her' you are talking about is me." I snapped, glaring at him as he glared back.

"Don't fight now." Lorenzo said. "As for dating, I gave her one chance. She thinks she's old enough to date and she wants to be a normal teenager. If she wants to find the 'love of her life' at fifteen. I won't stop her from being in a relationship with them. But its just one chance." Lorenzo said, almost in an assuring tone.

"A 'normal teenager' may go through heartbreak too." Grayson said, trying to reason with Lorenzo.

"I know that. She wants to experience it, she'll think about it. Right, angel?" He said, looking at me and raising an eyebrow.

I didn't think about it.

"Umm.. Yeah. But I should stay positive right? Just focus on my date and my crush." I gave them a toothy grin at the end.

I was so desperate to have some teen drama. Since I was the outcast of the school, no one noticed me. I had a crush on a guy for a long time. But my parents didn't even want me to have a friend, so I didn't have a chance to have a boyfriend.

I always wanted to have someone love me. I know, I have my brothers and friends now. But I want to try and find someone to spend my life with.

Maybe it'll give me a chance to get the tag of a slut off of me. Ryan wanted me. I'll not be his. I'll marry the one I choose and love.
