"I swear I noticed something." Someone said.

"Boss will not be happy if he finds us inside." Person two said.

"He'll not be happy if there are intruders inside and when he knows we didn't do anything, even after being suspicious about it." Person one said.

I heard a phone vibrate. There was silence for about thirty seconds.

Suddenly, I was standing with the two guys, the guards to be exact, grabbing my upper arms.

The cameras.

"We got her." One said into the phone.

They dragged me somewhere. They stopped when I heard footsteps that didn't belong to the three of us.

I looked up and what the actual eff.

A big, muscular man walked out of a room dressed in a white dress shirt and blue pants.

Everything changed, he used to have muscles but not these big and he had a beard now.  But his sharp, hazel eyes were the same as he flicked his gaze from the guards to me then back at the guards.

"She sneaked in." One of the guys told him. He looked at me with his sharp gaze, almost scaring me. Almost.

"We don't know why." The other said.

"To the basement." The boss or should I say Damon ordered. The guards bowed their heads and stepped back a little, jerking me backwards.

I kept staring at him as he stared back. He's changed so much. I've changed too but I went through teenage, he was already an adult when he left.

He turned around and started walking.

"Big bro?" I said, my voice small and shaky.

THIRD POV.

Damon stopped abruptly and turned around to look at the girl, his eyebrows furrowed. His jaw clenched as he started taking long strides towards her. He stalked towards her and bent down to her level.

"You do not call me that." He gritted with so much anger, it scared her a little.

No one could call him that. But this girl had just opened a memory in Damon's mind, which pained him the most.

He was trying his hardest to get her custody. He hasn't seen her in years.

Before he gave anything away, he turned back around, looking like he was in pain, which didn't go unnoticed by Amelia.

"I'm Ava!" She shouted behind him.

His hands curled into fists as he stood there with his back towards them. He turned around to look into her eyes.

She was not. She didn't even have the same eyes.

"You're not." He said, feeling like he's gonna cry any second now. He felt a heavy weight on his chest.

"Yes I am." She struggled to raise her hands to her head and tugged at her blonde hair. Damon watched as the hair slipped, revealing the beautiful brown hair.

He was getting angrier by now. This better not be a joke now. Because if it turned out she lied, he'll kill her without questioning her and knowing why she sneaked into his house.

Her finger went to her eyes as she got the contacts out revealing the blue eyes, he always used to admire.

It felt like someone pulled the floor from beneath him.

She finally got out of there. He could finally have her with him forever. His little angel. He felt helpless but relieved.

He stood there too shocked to comprehend what was happening. He waved his hand at the guards to dismiss them. Immediately, they let go of Amelia's arms and left.

As soon as Amelia was out of their hold, she launched at Damon and hugged him tight. Damon's arms immediately wrapped around her comparatively small body as she hugged the life out of him.

"I missed you so much." He muttered, his heavy commanding voice, now shaking.

That was it for Ava. Her eyes watered as she buried her head into his shoulder. Some seconds later, she was crying uncontrollably while Damon panicked, thinking he had hugged her too tight.

She started sobbing as he kept rubbing her back and tried to calm her down. Although it was good she was finally crying and letting it all out.

Damon picked her up and walked into the living room. She just kept crying and hugged him tight.

"Hey. What happened baby? Did I hug you too tight? Are you okay? You're not hurt, are you?" He rushed out, not being able to see her cry.

She didn't speak, just shook her head and kept crying. He had no other choice than to try and calm her down.

About half an hour later, her sobs had died down and only sniffles were left. She was still clinging to him.

"How did you escape?" He asked once she was fully calm.

"I didn't. I mean yeah I kinda escaped because I kicked their as—" she stopped when he raised an eyebrow.
"Butts. Its a long story." She grinned innocently as Damon thought about the devil behind that innocent smile.

"So. I was on the base—" she started but stopped to look at him.

"What base?" He asked looking at her suspiciously.
She looked a little nervous.

"I may or may not have joined a gang?" She said as she tried to get away from him a little but he tightened his grip and kept her in place.

He didn't mind, because he wasn't there during that part of her life and if he wanted to be her guardian, she would be involved with some things similar to that.

But he couldn't help but feel worried about her being in a dangerous situation. He knew, he'll do anything to keep her away from it, now that she was here with him.

Suddenly, something clicked in Amelia's mind as she frantically tried to get up, but to no use.

She tried to get her phone out of her pocket when she was interrupted.

"WHERE IS AVY? I SWEAR I'LL KILL YOU AND EVERYONE RELATED TO YOU, IF I DON'T FIND HER, RIGHT NOW." She heard Daniel yell and facepalmed herself.

Two guards entered holding Daniel just as they were holding her.

"Another intruder, boss." They said. Damon looked at Daniel with his piercing icy glare.

"I know him. He's an acquaintance." Amelia said softly.

Daniel's furious gaze snapped towards her.
"Your friend." He gritted, putting emphasis on friend. She rolled her eyes.

"You have a friend." Damon muttered, smiling a little. He felt happy she managed to make a friend.

"He's not my friend." She said, going into defensive mode.

Damon knew she was pushing him away, but the clinginess of the boy did not let her do so.

But that didn't avoid his overprotective self to show up.

A BOY? How could he be her friend. She finally made a friend and that a boy?

Damon sat her on the couch and stood up.
"You two can leave." He ordered. The guards nodded and left, for the second time.

Daniel stood up to his full height and extended his hand forward.

Amelia was gesturing at him not to tell Damon about what he did. He understood probably, but still managed to do the most idiotic thing ever. Amelia wanted to hit her head on the wall after hearing what he said.

Damon looked at his hand as Daniel spoke.

"Hello, Mr. Lucky person who got to cuddle with Ava. I'm Daniel Wilson. I'm a buttbuttin by profession." Daniel said as formally as he could.

Amelia facepalmed and looked at Daniel furiously.

This was not the time to crack jokes.

"Damon Garcia. I couldn't really comprehend what you said as your profession?" Damon asked completely confused about what he meant. He looked a year or two older than Amelia and already had a job?

'The kid is Responsible', Damon thought.

"Assassin?" Daniel said, but it came out more as a question.

Amelia just thought about how much of an idiot he is.

Once an idiot, always an idiot.

Damon's eyes widened slightly as he contemplated whether to laugh at his replacing of words or worry about the fact, she was friends with an Assassin.

He looked back at her with a 'really?' look etched on his face. She just shrugged and laughed nervously.

"I think I should go." Daniel said, knowing he's going to have to face her anger.

"It was nice meeting you Mr. Garcia." Daniel extended his hand again. They shook hands again, before he left.

"I want to know the whole story." Damon said sitting down.
