In which Jeongguk was dumped on
Christmas Day , an occasion he and
his boyfriend love the most.

          Last Christmas ; it was supposingly an occasion that Jeongguk and Taehyung had promised to spend with each other. But on Christmas evening , Taehyung declared he wanted to break up with Jeongguk , right in front of both their families.

Jeongguk was just hurt , he didn't had a clue about the reason why Taehyung wanted to leave him — on an occasion that was so special to them. He locked himself up and cried , he wasn't willing to let anyone comfort him.

He left himself in the room , sobbing day and night ; skipping meals so often that he didn't even remembered when was the last time he ate something.

Taehyung felt so lost after breaking up , he lost all his inspiration to write songs anymore — writing songs was his hobby , he enjoys it and his inspiration had always been Jeongguk ever since they've gotten together. He'd never have any problems writing songs when Jeongguk's with him.

But now , Jeongguk's absent from his life , it made him feel so lost , so gone that he didn't even know if he still knew himself. He needed Jeongguk back , he missed him so badly.

But he knew he had no reason to want him back , he left him ... he was the one that've chosen to leave him. The only reason he knows ... is that he still loves Jeongguk.

( Present ) Christmas Night

It's Christmas Night , Jeongguk's walking down the street filled with lights and colours , laughters coming from couples and families down the street.

It was the street that he and Taehyung always spent their time together — memories came flashing back like waves crashing onto the shore.

But when he reaches a certain toy shop , he couldn't help but stand at the spot that he and Taehyung did last Christmas.

[ Flashback ]

"Tae , look at this toy bunny! Isn't it cute?" Jeongguk pointed as he asked his boyfriend to look at the toy bunny on display.

But he felt a pair of eyes on him instead.

"You look cuter , my bunny." Taehyung stated , before bringing his lips to meet Jeongguk's.

"I love you." Jeongguk said when he pulled away from the kiss.

"I love you , so much. I'll never leave you , i promise." Taehyung said as he brought up his pinky , to have a pinky promise with Jeongguk.

"I promise too." Jeongguk let out a soft laughter , the one that made Taehyung's heart skipped beats. It reminded him of how much he loves Jeongguk.

[ End Of Flashback ]

That toyshop , it still stood there like last Christmas — just that the bunny wasn't there anymore , it's just a toy lion instead. As the memories comes back , tears comes trickling down Jeongguk's cheeks.

He missed him — everything they once had , everything they once shared ; he wanted back all those old times.

But his train of thoughts had been cut off by a presence behind him. Unknowingly , he turned and face the person.

It wasn't someone he expected to meet , not right now — especially not at where he's currently at.

Kim Taehyung.

Taehyung and Jeongguk stood there , looking at each other ; neither of them moving a single step. It felt like both of them were the only ones on the street — staring at each other.

Taehyung's P.O.V
He must've suffered a lot. He've lost so much weight and his eyes - his eyes look so dull ... What did he do to deserve this? I helped him , but hurt him at the same time ...

As soon as Jeongguk finally registered the person whom was before him on his mind , the first thing he knew was to get away — as far as possible from the one before him.

Jeongguk knew that he couldn't stand there any longer without pouring his heart out. But before he even had the chance to leave , Taehyung pulled him into a hug.

"Please , just let us stay this way for a while. I miss this , so badly." Taehyung said , tone sounding desperate yet hurt.

Jeongguk couldn't help but let his hands travel to Taehyung's shoulders , hugging him back as tears crowded his eyes.

"Let me explain , will you? Just once , let me try and win you back. I promise that i'll let you go , if you're not willing to come back to me." Taehyung asked as he broke off from the hug.

"Why should i even give you this chance?" Jeongguk questions , "You left me , alone on Christmas Night." Jeongguk sobbed as his dull eyes showed both sadness and pain.

"Please , i really need you back. Just this once , i beg you." Taehyung begged , forgetting about his pride and dignity as he kneeled down.

Jeongguk knew better , he was nowhere different from Taehyung ; he needed Taehyung as much as Taehyung needed him.

"Fine , just this once." Jeongguk agreed as he held Taehyung up.

But Jeongguk knew no matter how Taehyung's explaination turned out , he'll always be ready to forgive him.

Jeongguk and Taehyung decided that they'll head to the cafe that both of them used to visit together almost every single day.

"Welcome! Oh my , i've not seen both of you in ages." The male worker chuckled before leading both of them to one of their usual seats from before.

"Two caramel chocolate?" The male asked and Jeongguk simply nodded with a smile , replying on behalf for Taehyung at the same time.

As soon as their drinks was served , Jeongguk decided he should let Taehyung start speaking.

"So , you wanna start explaining?"

"O-Oh about that ..." Taehyung cleared his throat before starting, "In fact , my family never supported me being gay , they hated me so much. That was why i kept our relationship from them , and i'm sorry for not telling you that when we were still together." Taehyung paused , wondering if Jeongguk's still interested to listen.

He continued when Jeongguk gave him a soft smile and a nod , signalling him that he could continue.

"They found out about our relationship because of the songs i wrote about us , my father asked me about it and i had no choice but to admit ; my father then threatened to hurt you ; i begged him not to hurt you no matter what goes on , but he didn't like the idea of it. He promised that he'll not hurt you only if i leave you — and that was exactly what i did."

"Was that why you broke up with me in front of both our families , on purpose — during last Christmas." Jeongguk asks

"Mhmm." Taehyung hummed in response , not really knowing what to say.

"Wait , so what did he do to you? Did he hurt you?!" Jeongguk asked and Taehyung heard a mild anger in his tone.

Taehyung kept quiet , there was no way he would wanna tell Jeongguk anything. But if he had to ... he will.

"I'm so gonna hit that bastard." Jeongguk growled as he stood up , but before he could leave his seat , Taehyung stopped him.

"N-No , don't." Taehyung stuttered out , tone showing slight timidness.

Jeongguk took a deep breathe before seating down again , he didn't want to go against Taehyung's will.

"At least tell me then , will you? What did he do to you?" Jeongguk asked softly , not wanting to scare Taehyung anymore.

"He locked me up at the basement of my house for weeks after the break up. He said i was disgusting and doesn't deserve to be treated like a human. Those days when i was locked up , i was beaten to the point where i didn't even believe that i'll ever have the chance to leave that place."

As Taehyung continued , a rising anger in Jeongguk was felt.

"One particular night , the whole family was out and i thought that if i didn't take the opportunity to escape , i'd really not have the chance to see you anymore." He chuckled at his own statement.

"And i did it , i escaped. I went to find my best friend , Yoongi. He stays nearby with his boyfriend , Jimin. But now , they're living in Australia so i'm staying alone. I've not return back to my family since , i don't want to imagine what will happen if i did." He sighed.

"I guess i told you more than i should , huh."

Taehyung looked up for the first time after saying so much , only to see Jeongguk standing up and going towards him. Before he even knew , Jeongguk kneeled down and pulled him into a tight hug. The warmness , the feeling of being hugged by Jeongguk — he missed it so much.

"You went through so much , just because you didn't want me to get hurt. I'm so sorry , i should've known. I should've went to find you and you'll not need to suffer that much. Baby , i'm sorry."

Taehyung feels a fuzzy feeling within him. He miss that kinda feeling , it feels nice. He just hopes Jeongguk still loves him.

"I love you." Jeongguk says , and that answered Taehyung's question.

"I love you , and i promise , nothing will be able to come between us now. No matter what it is , i'll stay with you through it." Taehyung giggled.

"I should be the one saying it but oh well ; you gotta bear with a bunny then." Jeongguk giggled , the dull-ness of his eyes has gone and it's replaced by a tint of happiness.

"I'll be sure that i take good care of you. All those hard times you went through ... I'll make it up to you , i promise." Jeongguk smiled.

          After which , Taehyung then moved in to Jeongguk's mansion that he share with his parents.

From then on , Jeongguk had back all he wanted. Their late night kisses , cuddles and 'ILoveYous' . It's all he wanted , but mostly , he wants Taehyung to feel wanted and love again. He's willing to give him love , endless love.
