In which Jeongguk still gets
nightmares from his parents death.

It is no secret that Jeongguk still gets nightmares from the day his parents died in the car accident. It all happened two years back when Jeongguk was 18 years old.

He and his parents were in the car , heading for his cousin's wedding ceremony. Unfortunately , the weather wasn't in the best condition that day — the floor was slippery due to the heavy storm and his father was driving the fastest and safest he could as they've left the apartment later than expected.

Everything happened in a blink of an eye — when one of the large container truck came crashing onto their car , making it flip several times before stopping due to the impact.

The last thing Jeongguk remembered was stumbling out of the car and watching the car burst into flames before losing consciousness.

As these years goes by , Jeongguk still blames himself for not saving his parents when he had the chance. But the truth was , there was no way he could've save his parents — if Taehyung wasn't at the scene to pull him away , he could've be gone with his parents.

At that time , Jeongguk and Taehyung were total strangers — they've never even seen each other once. But that one incident — it changes everything.

Taehyung was simply a passer-by when the accident happened , he witness every single bit of it — how the younger stumbled out of the vehicle ; wanting to head back to rescue his parents but was pulled away by the older male seconds before watching the car burst into flames ; and collapsing onto the ground.

He was the one that accompanied the younger to the hospital in the ambulance ; visiting him in the hospital every single day without fail despite the fact that he doesn't even know the younger male.

Jeongguk needed someone at that time but he had no one to turn to , and Taehyung had stayed by him throughout ; listening to his cries everyday.

Ever since that incident , Taehyung promised himself that he'll take care of the younger no matter what happens. But as time goes on , something sparked between the two — they've both developed feelings for each other and Taehyung took the first step — the confession.

          Since then , Jeongguk had been staying with Taehyung. Although Jeongguk is already an adult that has the looks , the muscles and everything a girl likely wants ; Taehyung never allow Jeongguk to live alone , knowing that the nightmares scares him so much.

"Guk! Wake up! Wake up!" Taehyung shook Jeongguk's body , trying his best to wake him up from the nightmare.

"Guk!" Taehyung yelled , not intentionally scaring the younger but simply wanting to wake him up.

Jeongguk's eyes flung open before squinting them slightly to have a clearer view of the male before him.

"T-Tae.." Jeongguk called out when he saw his boyfriend next to him , giving him a soft smile.

"Guk , you feeling okay?" Taehyung asked , tone filled with concern and worried.

"Y-Yeah , just the same old nightmare."

"It'll go away.. Someday , somehow." Taehyung said , "I hope." He mumbled but Jeongguk caught it despite it been so soft.

"As long as i have you by my side , no matter how long i have the nightmare for , i'll always be fine." Jeongguk gave Taehyung an assuring smile before giving him a peck on his lips.

"Mmm .. If you say so." Taehyung chuckled softly before pulling the younger into his embrace.

Jeongguk and Taehyung simply layed there ; while Taehyung's playing with Jeongguk's chocolate brown hair — twisting it to the left and right. After a while , Jeongguk fell asleep.

Taehyung caressed Jeongguk's cheeks before giving him a sweet kiss and drifting off to sleep.
