Aera

I stopped momentarily at the door for a second, contemplating all the acts that might take place at the other end.

"Aera." My hand firmly held the door knob before another hand gripped it. I followed the hand to meet those Saturns who were looking at me with concern.

"Mr. Park." I said as I pulled my hand back from his warmth. Strangely, my whole body shuddered due to the creeping coldness. I was kind shocked at how my body had adapted itself towards this particular gentleman. I cleared my throat to ward off the blood rushing to my cheeks and gave my attention to him.

"Aera, do you have to go? You know Max or Sam can do it. We are safe until that steel door is opened. You don't need to do this." He said with his eyebrows furrowed. His angelic voice ringing to the highest decibel in my stupid brain.

"Mr. Park, it is imperative for me to check this. It will not take much time. I promise nothing will go wrong."

And my heart found itself crumbling from a corner when I saw how the handsome fella looked distressed on my denial. He nodded with his head hung low. I felt my stomach stirring with that weird feeling whenever I saw him upset. Who wouldn't?

As far as I had seen him, he was a living angel. I sometimes laughed on my own choice of words. People would have laughed their asses out if I had told them that. But he really was the most genuine hearted person I had ever come across except one.

"Give me two minutes. I will just go and come. No matter what. Please stay with Miss Park." I said as I opened the door and stepped out, closing the door after.

The fog had started to disappear. I had my own doubts whether it was some poisonous gas that the attacker had tried to spread. But all my assumptions went down the drain. The gas smelled like biscuits. I slowly walked around the lawn to see any movement but all I got back where the noise of the cicadas and crickets crackling in their shelters.

Empty handed, I turned back only to meet my doom.

"I want that place cleaned and painted as soon as possible. Keep this between you and me. Nobody, not even the Parks should no about this. Tell all the staff that have access to the backyard that it has been suspended till tomorrow noon. Finish the job by then." I said as Max kept nodding his head as we walked around the perimeter once.

After Max went off to his errand, I stepped into the mansion to see Rose fast asleep on the couch and her brother on the sofa beside her with his laptop open and his reading glasses on his nose. As soon as he saw me walking in, he jumped up from his position only to push back the sofa in a hurry making a distinct screeching noise.

"WHO IS IT!?" Rose shouted as she stood up in a strange martial art style with her fists infront but winced when she put pressure on her bruised ankle. She sat back but kept her hands lifted. I sighed at the two before licking my dry lips.

"There is nothing to worry. It was just some minor problem. The neighbours had probably lit barbecue and had left the lit cinders on their backyard. Everything is good." I said.

"Oh...thank the fucking lord! I thought I had to sleep here on this crooked sofa all night. I am off to sleep. Ta Ta!" Rose said as she stumbled her way to her room.

Jimin stood their awkwardly scratching his nape while adjusting his glasses on his nose. I shifted my weight from one leg to the other. He suddenly looked up to find me already looking at him. My mind was screaming at me to change my gaze at something else in the room but my stubborn eyes refused to move themselves from him. He smiled at me with his eyes breaking into two curves hiding them completely. His dimples came into full display.

"You said two minutes....but it has been more than thirty.." he said as he leaned down to close his laptop. I blinked at the realisation of my promise that I had made to him. I coughed from the piercing fact poking itself in my brain. Well, I thought he had not paid much attention to it. Maybe I was wrong. His words somehow got me thinking why the hell was he even considering talking to her about such a predicament in the first place but this was Park Jimin. And he was nothing ordinary.

"I am sorry." I whispered.

"I will accept that apology but on a condition." He said as I watched how carefully he was saying each word while he intently stared at me. I kept quiet as an indication for him to continue.

"Have tea with me."
