The time when Aera had learnt about the case she had been nothing but disgusted. Disgusted at how people went to forbidden lengths just for the sake of money and power. Things should be done in full honesty and sincerity but cheats who used other innocent people for their gain were nothing but unsung monsters.

"How did it go?"

Aera turned around to see Jimin sitting on her couch with an accent pillow in his lap as he started at her with all seriousness. Aera just exhaled audibly before making her way to him as she plopped down beside.

"There are no new cases. But we still don't know how those girls are. I just don't want anything to happen to them." She said as she rested her head back.

"Nothing is going to happen to them. I know you will save them."

Jimin stroke the back of her hand with his fingers as he held them in his. He felt proud of her. He had no idea how turmulous her life had been in these three years that she had been by his side.

"Where is everyone else?" He asked as he realised only Aera came back.

"Min is still at the police quarters. Jieun is in the mansion for patrolling. And Yoongi is with Rose." She said as she looked at their intertwined hands which looked too good to be true.

Jimin perked up at the name of his sister when a question that had been implanted in his mind by his best friend Kim Taehyung surfaced. And he knew this was the best time to ask it away.

"Aera...are you friends with Jungkook now?" He asked and he could swear he felt Aera stiffen a bit.

Aera looked at him blankly as she contemplated if Jimin had any idea as to why she had been a bit more involved with Jeon Jungkook and if he knew his sister's connection to the matter.

"Umm...I have been talking to him. Why?" She asked.

"I don't know. You guys used to be at each other's throat before. Now you seem like friends." He said as he waddled a bit closer to her.

"No no. There is nothing to worry about. He just...he just doesn't step back from flirting and I just thought against of making him stop. I think he will get bored from it soon." She said with a tight smile in all hopes of convincing him.

"Hmm.."

Jimin just hummed in response. Aera seemed to be a bit flustered on the topic and he couldn't oversee the fact that she was explaining something to him when in reality she never said anything exceeding three words to him before. Maybe because they were a bit closer now or maybe because she thought it was necessary for her to explain herself when she was being tagged with another male.

"I will tell Jungkook to stay away from you." He said as he brought her closer to him and kissed the top of her head.

"Ok fine." She replied making him giddy as he snuggled in closer to her.

"MYTHE was getting anonymous blackmails demanding them to forfeit?" Taehyung was still in the trauma of what the situation had turned out to be.

"And none of us got a hold of it?" He continued as he gawked at the two males who were in deep thought.

"This is not as simple as it seems. Getting threats is something very minute if we see the extent to which this business has been expanded. But for a global conglomerate like MYTHE, if we are getting blackmails to carry illicit crimes..". Jungkook wandered off as fear set in his voice.

"So Aera has been undercover over this for the past three years." Taehyung smirked as he looked at Jimin.

Jimin had already caught the whiff of what was to come next.

"Aww..shut up!" He groaned as he swatted his hands at the male.

"What? What are you guys not telling me?" Jungkook asked as he sat upright.

"This man right here confessed his prima love to the one and only—"

"What!? You confessed?" Jungkook threw up his hands in the air as his bambi eyes widened.

"Wait—"

"I fucking knew! I knew you had something for Aera! The way you looked at her as if you were going to eat her up any second." He exclaimed before clapping his hands in joy.

Jimin just stared at him before looking at Taehyung who was mirroring his expression while having a bit annoyed tone to it.

"You never allow me to complete, do you?" He asked but Jungkook completely ignored him.

"Speaking of which...why are you being so friendly with Aera nowadays?" Jimin asked.

His expression was a bit hard and indecipherable. Jungkook had a slight doubt if this was the time he had been waiting to tell him. But he kept his thoughts to himself nonetheless.

"What are you talking about?" He said as he nervously laughed it off.

"You better not try anything fun—"

Seeing the door getting opened, all three of them became silent. Jieun walked in after a brief series of knocks on the door. She was looking through her phone as she raised her head up to find the three men gawking at her. She raised an eyebrow at them before looking back at herself to realise why they were looking at her. That made her internally smirk.

"Are we missing something here?"

"No you aren't. I just wanted to ask you guys if you wanted to be escorted back home because I have somewhere to be." She said as she bit back her smile the way Taehyung gulped while ogling her. Her black full body combat suit was seriously giving him the chills.

"Where are you going?" He asked making Jimin and Jungkook a bit surprised as to why he was interested to know.

"We are dropping into their place to plant few surveillance chips in their systems." She replied, keeping her gaze on him fixed.

"We?" Jungkook voiced.

"Me and Aera."

That caught Jimin's attention as he stood up.

"Aera?"

"Yes. She is the lead officer in this. She is going in." She said making Jimin break a cold sweat. All of this was not for the weak heart. And he was sure that it wasn't easy to come out unscathed from wherever they were going.

"What about Yoongi and Minhyuk?" Jimin asked to know if they were accompanying them as well.

"Yoongi has other works and Minhyuk would be leading us through the CCTVs in their building."

"You guys are going to go alone?" Jungkook worriedly asked.

"Yeah." Jieun was finding it fun to mess with them seeing how flustered they were getting with each of their questions being answered.

"Can we....can we stay with Minhyuk?" Taehyung asked in a low voice contemplating the chances of him getting outright rejected.

Jieun pondered over his question and it didn't seem to be a bad idea since Min was going to work from the police headquarters.

"Fine." She said as she turned to leave "I will meet you guys downstairs."

"I don't think I would be able to tag along." Jungkook said as he kept his phone in his pocket and stood up.

"Hmm..ok." Jimin said dismissively.

"See you tomorrow."
