"Where the hell have you been?" Kari loomed over me and I narrowed my eyes.

"Outside." I replied and she scowled.

"Don't play smart-ass with me." She hissed, raising her hand. I instinctively flinched, but she didn't do anything.

"Yeah, that's right. Know your place." She lowered her hand, and I relaxed. Suddenly, pain flooded through my cheek, and my head snapped to the side.

"You didn't even come back at all last night. You're such a whore." She narrowed her eyes at me, withdrawing her hand from slapping me. I sighed, feeling the pain blossom throughout my cheek.

"I saw you participating in the Sports Festival." Kari spoke up and I tensed.

"Well, I kind of had to." I replied and she crossed her arms.

"Tch. As if you had any shot at winning that pathetic thing. You're born to be a villain. This whole hero fantasy you have will pass over soon. Don't forget who you are." She stepped closed to me, gripping my arm. I tried to pull away, but her grasp was painfully tight.

"Fuyo Dokujin." She hissed, increasing her strength, my arm stinging in pain. She finally let go and I sighed. I quickly ripped my arm away from her and she scoffed.

"It's pathetic you know. You're hopeless. Nobody will accept you when they figure out who you are." She sneered and I looked at the ground, clenching my fists.

"You're wrong..." I muttered quietly and Kari bent down slightly.

"I'm sorry, what was that? I can't hear you when you mumble like a god damn mouse." Kari reached out a gripped a handful of my hair, forcing me to look at her.

"You're wrong." I glared at the woman, and she flinched slightly.

"How dare you look at me like that!" She yanked me down, and shoved her knee into my stomach. I coughed as I collapsed. Kari kicked me again, her glare intensifying.

"Where the hell have you gotten this idea that anyone would accept you! That's nonsense! Of course they wouldn't! You were born to be evil!" Kari spoke between kicks and I held my head.

I reached out and grabbed her ankle, stopping her from kicking me again.

"He accepts me! He said he didn't care! He's gonna help me reach my goal!" I yelled before pulling my arm back, knocking Kari's feet out from under her. I scrambled to get up, stumbling a bit as my body roared in pain.

"YOU USELESS BRAT! GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE! IM GOING TO BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF YOU!" Kari screamed, completely enraged. I quickly ran to the front door, tears collecting in my eyes out of pure terror.

Why the hell did I do that?!

A hand clamping around my arm caused me to shriek, fighting against the woman. I opened the front door with my other hand, ripping my arm away from the woman. Her sharp nails dug into my skin, clawing down my arm. I felt blood drip down to my hand, and my eyes widened as I felt a wave of paralysis hit me. I crashed to the ground, Kari towering over me.

No! No! She paralyzed me! My heart beat rapidly in my chest as I began to hyperventilate. My fingers twitched slightly as I fought immensely against her paralysis. I squeezed my eyes shut as I mustered all the strength I had to activate my Quirk. I created a needle, shooting it into my leg. I laced a special poison into it. I hoped that it would counter her paralysis. I grew dizzy, but I felt my limbs begin to move again.

My poison shot through my body as I suddenly hopped up, catching Kari off guard. I shot out the open door, almost falling over the railing. I stumbled, having to grip onto anything around me. Kari yelled from the door, but didn't dare chase me outside in fear of others seeing her.

I noticed that it was now dark outside as I panted. I ran down the sidewalk, not really knowing where I was going. I suddenly ran into something, easily falling backwards since I was so off-balance. I collided harshly with the concrete and I quickly sat up, almost falling back again from the wave of dizziness that hit me.

I looked up to see a large silhouette looming over me, and I crawled backwards in fear.

"Doku?" The voice caused my eyes to widen.

"I-Iida...?" I breathed out and the boy quickly lowered himself to the ground.

"Oh my god! Doku, are you alright?! What are you doing out here?!" He exclaimed, reaching out to touch my shoulder. I flinched, hitting his hand away. He paused, giving me an extremely concerned face.

"The park. I'm trying to get to the park." I panted, looking anywhere but at the boy. He suddenly gasped and I looked up.

"Doku, you're bleeding! What in the world happened?!" He looked at my arm then to my face again. "Your cheek is all bruised up too! Did you get into a fight?" He asked, and I shook my head. I winced as I pushed myself up to stand again.

"It's not important. I need to get to the pa-" I stumbled, almost falling to the ground. Before I could hit the sidewalk, I felt two strong arms catch me. I fell into Iida's chest, and I gripped onto his shirt. I tried to push away from him, but his grasp around me tightened.

"Let me go..." I mumbled, not having enough energy to really be making demands.

"Fuyo. You're in no shape to be going anywhere. You need to go home." He stated and I tensed.

"No!" My eyes widened in fear. "Not there." I shook my head and he sighed.

"Well, you certainly have to take care of this." He moved his hand to cradle my arm and I sighed.

"Why are you even out here? Why do I keep bumping into you?" I rested my head against his chest in defeat, partly listening to his steady heartbeat.

"I was just clearing my head. Perhaps we are meant to always run into each other." He chuckled lightly and I sighed.

"Just leave me to die out here. It's what I was planning on doing. Hopefully I bleed to death." I morbidly stated and Iida clicked his tongue, his embrace tightening a bit.

"It is a possibility that I could bring you back to my place." He thought out loud and I groaned.

"That sounds awful. A whole house full of Iidas." I sighed and he shook his head.

"It's empty. Everyone is at the hospital." He stated and I tensed.

"Well, isn't that convenient." I replied and Iida sighed.

"Let's go." He pulled away from me, but still had his arm wrapped around my back.

"What?! No! I didn't agree to this!" I exclaimed.

"I know you won't treat that. We have school tomorrow and I don't want you skipping." His tone grew stern at the end of his sentence.

"Yes ma'am." I mocked him before sighing. I took a step forwards before wincing. My abdomen hurt from Kari "beating the shit out of me" her words, not mine.

"Climb on." Iida spoke up and I looked over at him. He had his back to me and I groaned.

"I'm going to regret this for the rest of my life." I complained before grabbing his shoulders. I painfully jumped up, and thankfully the boy caught me. I leaned my chest against his back as he gripped my thighs. I let out a sigh, resting my head on his shoulders.

"Iida? Is that you?" A timid voice called out and I lifted my head. Midoriya stood on the sidewalk at an intersection.

"What is this? A reunion?" I frowned, and the green haired boy turned to look at me.

"Oh! Doku, you're here too! Wait, why are you on Iida's back? Wait! What happened to you?!" Midoriya began to fire off questions and I groaned.

"Goodnight." I stated, closing my eyes and resting my head on Iida's shoulder again.

3rd Person P.O.V.

Iida stopped to look at Midoriya as he asked a million questions about Doku. He felt the girl give up as she rested her head on his shoulder again. He tried not to tense at the action, his face slightly flushing.

"Hello, Midoriya. What are you doing out here?" Iida asked, ignoring the Doku questions.

"Oh! I was just training with All- I mean training all by myself!" He laughed nervously and Iida nodded.

"It's always good to get in extra training. Keep up the good work." The blue haired boy replied and Midoriya smiled before pausing.

"Hey... I'm sorry about your brother... Doku told Uraraka and I what happened. I hope he's alright." Midoriya muttered and Iida tensed, frowning slightly.

"Thank you for your concern, Midoriya. It's appreciated. We're still not sure about his condition..." Iida trailed off, looking at the ground. "But I must get going now! It was nice to see you out here. Have a good night Midoriya!"

"Goodnight!" The boy waved to Iida before turning around and walking away. Iida sighed as he continued to walk to his house. He knew that Doku was asleep by now due to her even breathing and soft breaths hitting the back of his neck.

He looked up at the sky, the purple haired girl on his mind. Countless thoughts ran through his mind such as 'what happened to her?' and 'what is she hiding?'.

Eventually, he made it to his house, taking a moment to wake the girl up.

Doku's P.O.V.

I felt myself sliding off Iida's back, and I quickly woke up. I stood on a large porch. I looked around in silent awe as I looked at the house. Iida opened the front door before walking back to me. He helped me inside as I continuously growled at him that I could do it myself.

We went to what I figured was his room.

"Why the hell do you have so many glasses?" I squinted at his shelf of glasses, groaning at his organization. Iida sat me down on his bed before walking across his room.

"I must be prepared for them to break." Iida replied and I raised a brow. The boy fumbled around before pulling a white box out. He opened it and I noticed a bunch of medical supplies within it.

"Then why did you throw a whole fit when I stole your glasses?" I asked and he kneeled in front of me on the floor.

"Because I needed to see so I could study for the rest of the school day." He answered and I scoffed.

"All those books are gonna rot your brain." I stated before hissing as Iida touched my arm to clean up the blood.

"That doesn't make any sense, Doku." He sighed, wiping away the last bit of blood. He finished cleaning my arm before wrapping it with gauze and a bandage.

"So, are you going to tell me what happened?" He asked, looking up at me. I looked away, gripping my school uniform's skirt.

"No. Screw off." I growled, but it didn't seem to phase Iida. He reached his hand up to cup my bruised cheek, his fingers running down my face to my chin. He turned my head to look at him and my eyes widened at his expression.

Concern filled his eyes.

Why? Doesn't he have anything else to worry about? His brother is in the hospital for gods sake!

"Stop making that face." I grumbled, causing Iida to hum in confusion.

"What face? A worried expression?" He asked and I averted my eyes.

"Quit making puppy dog eyes at me. Just leave it alone." I leaned back, his hand leaving my face.

"Fuyo." Iida's sudden use of my first name caused me to tense. "Please, tell me what did this." He paused. "No. Tell me who did this." He finished and I gripped my clothing tighter.

"I... I can't...." I replied quietly and Iida sat there in silence for a moment.

"Okay." He nodded before looking back down at the box. He pulled out a bandage for my face, gently plastering it to my injured cheek.

"Thank you." I whispered, refusing to meet the boy's eyes. I stood up, catching him off guard. I swayed a bit, but I caught myself from falling.

"I should get going." I stated, and he gasped, standing up.

"Where are you going to go?! Especially at this hour!?" He exclaimed and I shrugged.

"The park." I replied and he quickly stepped in front of me. I blinked, taking a step backwards.

"That won't do. I cannot allow you to just sleep outside! It wouldn't be polite. Please, stay here so I know you're safe." Iida offered and my eyes widened.

"Really?" I asked and he nodded. He guided me over to his bed again, gently taking my shoulders, making me sit down.

"I don't want to steal your bed. I know I'm mean but I'm not heartless." I looked over at the boy, and he just smiled.

"No, it's quite alright. You're injured, I'm more than happy to sleep on the floor." He replied and I frowned.

"If you say so..." I muttered, lying down, getting under the covers. I felt my eyes drift shut fairly fast as Iida moved around doing god knows what. I let out a quiet sigh, savoring the comfortable bed.

And for the first time ever, I felt safe.
