I sat at a table in the cafeteria peacefully enjoying my lunch. All of that was ruined once two certain boys crashed into view.

"Hey, Doku." Mineta called out, and I glared down at him.

"What." I spat, my tone extremely threatening as I put down my drink.

"O-Oh well, I um..." The boy stuttered as he shrunk under my gaze.

"We just wanted to pass on some information!" Kaminari quickly interjected and my glare shot over to him.

"Well? What is it?" I frowned, narrowing my eyes at the two.

"They said all the girls have to wear those uniforms for the big cheer battle this afternoon." The blonde replied as he pointed to one of the cheerleaders walking around in the cafeteria. Their orange uniforms stuck out as they giggled to each other. I paused before looking back at the two boys. They flinched at my expression.

"Why the hell would I ever wear that?" I hissed. The two began to panic as sweat beaded down their face.

"Hey! Don't get mad at us! It was Mr. Aizawa's orders!" Mineta exclaimed.

"Absolutely not." I shook my head, taking another sip from my drink.

"But you'll get in trouble if you don't!" Kaminari yelled and I shrugged.

"Wouldn't be the first time. There's no way in hell I'm putting that ridiculous thing on." I argued, and the boys frowned.

"But-"

"Shut up and scram." I glared down at them again, gripping my drink tightly. They shrieked before scrambling away. I let out a soft sigh, and rested my chin in my hand.

"Get those foam fingers in the air!" Present Mic's voice ripped through the air as I entered the arena once again.

"It's almost time for the last round! But before that: Good news for everyone who didn't make the finals. Since this is a sports festival, we've prepared some super‐fun side games everyone can participate in!" He announced, and I let out a groan.

"We even brought in cheerleaders from America to get your blood pumping!" Present Mic suddenly paused, and I heard Mr. Aizawa gasp.

"Hold up." Present Mic stopped, and I looked around to find the issue. I blinked as I spotted the girls of my class dressed up in those cheerleader uniforms. Kaminari and Mineta's doing.

"What are they doing?" I heard Mr. Aizawa mutter, and I let out a sigh as I ran my hand down my face. I'm so glad I didn't fall for that.

"Looks like Class 1‐A is goin' full‐on fanservice!" Present Mic announced as the girls looked beyond embarrassed. I heard Mineta and Kaminari cackle as they watched them.

"What?! You tricked us? You're gonna regret this!" Yaoyorozu yelled as she pointed at the two. The boys only continued to giggle, and I felt my eye twitch in annoyance. I approached the two, and crossed my arms.

"So you were lying, huh?" I glared at boys, and their laughing immediately ceased.

"O-Oh! Doku!" Kaminari nervously sweat as I continued to shoot them daggers.

"I-It was just a harmless prank! No one got hurt!" Mineta exclaimed, as he shook in fear.

"Harmless prank? I'll show you a harmless prank when I shoot lethal needles into both of your empty heads!" I threatened the two, and they screamed loudly in fear.

"That's not harmless at all!" Kaminari cried before frantically running away with Mineta. I heard Jiro laugh behind me, and I turned to the group of girls.

"You showed them! Did you see their faces!" Jiro continued to laugh as she held her stomach.

"Why is it that I always end up falling for that little pervert's stupid schemes?" Yaoyorozu sighed as she fell to the ground. Uraraka pat her shoulder in comfort as she let out a sheepish laugh.

"How did you guys even get those?" I asked as I stared at the orange uniforms.

"I used my Quirk to make these outfits." Yaoyorozu groaned before looking back at me. "So you didn't fall for it, huh Doku?" She stated and I nodded.

"To be honest, I didn't even know they were lying. I was just going to defy Mr. Aizawa's orders." I shrugged in reply and Uraraka laughed lightly.

"Ugh, I hate those guys!" Jiro yelled as she covered herself with her arms.

"Well, we do have a little time before the finals start, and I kinda like these uniforms, so... How 'bout we just roll with it!" Hagakure giggled as she began waving her arms around. Well, all you could see were her pompoms flying everywhere.

"Are you crazy?!" Jiro yelled.

"Wow, Toru. You've got skills." Tsu stated as the invisible girl continued to cheer.

"Come closer and draw lots to see who you're up against. Then enjoy the pleasure of the recreational games before we start. The 16 finalists have the option of participating in those activities or sitting out to prepare for battle. I'm sure you all want to conserve your stamina. I'll start with the first place team." Midnight began walking over to Todoroki before Ojiro raised his hand.

"Um. Excuse me. Sorry. But I'm withdrawing." He stated, and my eyes widened slightly.

"Ojiro. No way!" Midoriya gasped as he turned to the boy.

"But this is a rare chance for you to get scouted." Iida reminded him.

"It just wouldn't be right. I barely remember anything from the cavalry battle until the very end of it." He stated, and the class gasped. My eyes darted over to that Shinso guy, and I scanned his careless looking stance.

"I... think it was that guy's Quirk. I know this is a great opportunity. I wish I could take advantage of it, but my conscience won't let me." Ojiro frowned as he stared at his hand.

"Just think about this." Midoriya argued.

"I have, okay? Everyone gave their all in round two, but I was just someone's puppet. No way. I don't wanna advance if I don't even know how I got here. It wouldn't be fair." Ojiro explained.

"You're making way too much of this! Just kill it in the finals and prove you should be here." Hagakure urged the boy.

"Yeah, what she said. I didn't do much in the battle, either." Mina agreed.

"That's not it. I'm talking about my pride here. I refuse to give that up." He stated, and the students gasped.

"Just let him do what he wants. It's less competition anyways." I shrugged causing some people to gasp again.

"Doku!" Mina exclaimed, and I turned to look at her.

"Yeah?" I replied, as if there was nothing wrong with what I said.

"Um, why are all the girls dressed like cheerleaders?" Ojiro asked, and the girls tensed before letting out a groan.

"I think I should withdraw for the exact same reason." A student from class 1-B spoke up. "Regardless of how strong I am, this isn't how I wanted to get here. It would go against the values of the festival to advance without earning my spot."

"Listen to these guys! They're so manly!" Kirishima exclaimed as he held back tears.

"This sort of talk is incredibly naive, my boys. That turns me on! Shoda! Ojiro! You're withdrawn!" Midnight announced, and I raised a brow.

"Did she say it turns her on?" The students muttered at Midnight's choice of words.

Since Ojiro and that other kid dropped out, Midnight brought up two students from the other teams. They decided on that metal guy who screams at us all the time, and Yaoyorozu.

"Take a look at the bracket, my dears. These are your opponents!" Midnight yelled as the bracket appeared on the screen. I searched for my name as I scanned the screen. I quickly found it matched up with Kaminari.

"H-HUH?! DOKU?! WHY?!" Kaminari panicked as he saw our names.

"Get ready to die." I sent Kaminari a threatening look as he practically shit himself.

"Uraraka? Who the hell's that?" I heard Bakugo ask as he stared at the bracket. Uraraka gasped in surprise and offense.

"Dumbass." I snickered at Bakugo, and he froze.

"WHAT'D YOU SAY TO ME YOU INSECT?!" He yelled at me, and I only stared at him with an unimpressed expression.

"You're a dumbass." I repeated, and shoved my hand in his face before walking away.

"HEY! GET BACK HERE!" The blonde screamed after me, and I smirked.

"Let's press pause for a momentary interlude! Before the battles begin, it's time for some pulse‐pounding side games!" Present Mic's voice interrupted Bakugo before he could try and murder me.

Once the side games began, I quickly left the arena, wanting no part in that. I walked around in boredom, and stumbled upon the cafeteria again. It was empty besides a familiar nerd chugging drinks by the wall.

"I don't think you have enough." I sarcastically stated as I pointed to the multiple cans piled up in his arms.

"Of course I don't! But this is as much as they would give me!" Iida replied, and I raised a brow.

"You're going to throw all that up." I looked at the drinks, then back up at him.

"Nonsense! This is my fuel!" He countered, and I snickered.

"You really are a car." I teased.

"Are you excited for your match against Kaminari?" Iida asked, ignoring my previous comment.

"You saw that?" I tilted my head.

"Yes! I made sure to look for your name." He answered and I blinked.

"Really? I have no idea who you're up against." I lazily rubbed the back of my neck.

"I am facing Mei Hatsume." Iida informed me, and I nodded.

"I've never fought Kaminari before, but I've seen his Quirk in action. I'm not sure how I'll do though." I shoved my hands into my pockets as I thought of my opponent.

"I'm sure if you do your best you'll pull through." Iida placed his hand on my shoulder, and I tensed. I looked up at him for a moment to see him smiling gently down at me.

"Yeah. Thanks." I muttered before turning around, letting his hand slide off my shoulder. I felt my face flush, and I picked up a piece of my hair, pulling it across my cheeks.

"See ya'." I briefly raised my arm, giving Iida a half assed wave as I walked away.

"Farewell, Doku! Good luck!" Iida called after me as I made my way to the waiting room to rest.

I sat in the stands as I crossed my arms. Midoriya and Shinso were the first battle as Cementoss finished building the platform we were to fight on. I frowned, already feeling tired. Don't get me wrong, I'm beyond surprised to have made it this far, but my lack of sleep is really taking a toll on me.

"All right, audience! Let's cut to the good stuff and not delay these finals any longer. Welcome our first fighters!" Present Mic announced as he pulled up Midoriya and Shinso's picture on the screen.

"Whoa, he looks kind scared in that picture, doesn't he? It's Izuku Midoriya from the hero course versus... Hitoshi Shinso from general studies, who really hasn't done anything to stand out yet." Present Mic introduced the two boys.

"The rules are simple. Immobilize your opponent or force them outta the ring. You can also win by getting the other person to cry uncle! Bring on the injuries, 'cause we've got our very own Recovery Girl waiting on standby! So put your morals aside and don't be afraid to play dirty! But of course, no life‐threatening crap, folks. It's not allowed! Real heroes use their power to throw villains in jail, not kill them." Present Mic explained the rules and I slid down in my seat. I felt fatigue hit me as I rubbed my eyes.

"Don't you talk about him that way!" Midoriya suddenly yelled and Shinso smirked.

"Huh?! Hey, hey, what's the dealio? This is the first match! It should start out with a bang! The fight has just begun and Izuku Midoriya is... completely frozen?" Present Mic commentated.

Midoriya paused, quickly shutting up. Iida gasped from beside me, and I narrowed my eyes at the fight below me. Was Midoriya under Shinso's control?
