The pro heroes had arrived, and I let out a sigh of relief. The person leading them here was no other than Iida. I shook my head, glancing at the place Shigaraki's bloodied body used to lie. Kurogiri had taken him and escaped, much to my displeasure.

"Doku!" I heard Iida call out as he ran over to Uraraka and I.

"Are you alright? I tried to reach you when that villain teleported everyone, but it was too late!" He exclaimed, swinging his arms around. My eyes widened at his statement.

"You tried to reach me...?" I muttered, and he nodded.

"Of course I did! Why wouldn't I?" He tilted his head, and I felt my face flush. Why would someone do that for me?

"Nevermind. I'm fine, I just got back to everyone after helping All Might a little." I shrugged, and Uraraka jumped up.

"Yeah! Doku was so cool! She even started fighting the leader!" Uraraka beamed, and I tensed. I guess she was referring to Shigaraki.

"Really? Then why would you come back over here?" Iida asked, and I looked away.

"I didn't want to get in the way, so I found the rest of the class." I replied, looking over at the class.

"Get in the way? You're just as useful as any of our classmates down there." Iida replied, and I raised my eyebrows in surprise.

"Really? Me?" I shook my head, disregarding the thought. "There's no way I even compare to them."

"Nonsense! I've seen you fight!" Iida argued, and I tensed. He was observing me during the training exercise?

"Speaking of which, I heard the leader call you by your first name. Do you two know each other?" Uraraka tilted her head, bringing her finger up to her chin.

"No. I've never seen the guy before today. It's clear they've prepped for this attack on All Might for a long time. Perhaps they looked into his students to learn more information about him." I lied, hoping they would believe me.

"I suppose you could be right..." Iida muttered, adjusting his glasses. I internally let out a sigh of relief as the two of them took the bait.

I don't need anyone figuring out who I really am.

Once the pro heroes were done cleaning all the villains up the police arrived, arresting all the remaining enemies.

The class stood at the front of the school. Everyone was there except Midoriya, who had broken his bones saving All Might earlier.

"Everyone seems to be unharmed except for that boy whose legs were all messed up." A policeman concluded before walking away to go talk to a detective.

"Ojiro." The invisible girl in our class spoke up.

"Huh?" The boy with the tail turned around to face Hagakure.

"I heard you were a really good fighter. I had no idea you were so strong!" She complimented the boy.

"I didn't know I was the only one on my own. I survived using hit‐and‐run tactics." He explained. "So where did you end up fighting, Hagakure?" Ojiro asked the girl.

"The landslide zone!" She replied, and I tensed. Huh?! She was there?!

"You wouldn't believe how strong Doku Todoroki were! They're amazing!" She praised us and I looked away in embarrassment.

"You don't say! Well, I'm just glad you didn't get hurt." Ojiro laughed lightly at the girl. I looked over at Todoroki to see him staring at Hagakure.

"I didn't even know she was there. I could've frozen her." He muttered, leaning over to me.

"Yeah, who knows what could've happened if I hit her with one of my needles." I nodded, and Todoroki blinked in realization.

"Aren't you wondering about moi? Where was my sparkling light?" Aoyama dramatically posed, giving the boys next to him a smirk.

"Interesting. So the people you fought were also low‐level thugs." Tokoyami ignored the blonde as he talked to Kirishima, Kota, and Kaminari.

"Yeah, they messed with the wrong kids, huh?" Kirishima punched his hand as he smiled.

"Did you miss me?" Aoyama attempted to get another group's attention.

"So All Might put that hole in the dome after all." Sero talked to the two guys next to him.

"I figured. That took some hardcore power." Sato replied, leaning against one of the trucks.

"Yeah, It was crazy." Shoji agreed, nodding his head.

"Wonder how I got out of there?" Aoyama danced over to me and Todoroki.

"So you were right. They couldn't take All Might down." I stated, looking over at the red and white haired boy.

"It's foolish to think a lousy plan like that one would actually take down the number one hero." Todoroki replied, closing his eyes.

"Where do you think I was?" Aoyama moved over to Tsu, who glanced at him.

"Um, where?" She asked, bringing a finger up to her lips.

"It's a secret." Aoyama replied with a smug smile.

The detective told us that Thirteen, Midoriya, and All Might were okay, and that we should head back to class to change. Mr. Aizawa's condition was unsure, and they didn't know if he'd fully recover.

I walked down the streets to the park after I changed out of my hero costume. I frowned, thinking of the attack earlier today. All Might really took a beating, and it concerned me. Could he really be getting weaker? How is the public going to react when they figure out the Symbol of Peace is fading?

But more importantly, why was Shigaraki leading a whole group of villains? Is he really deciding to take down All Might? The thought haunted me, and I hugged my sides in comfort. What am I going to do if he comes after me next? The man horrified me, and I shuttered in discomfort.

I felt the cold air nip at my skin, so I pulled my blazer closer. My Quirk was definitely feeding more on my body heat since I got pretty into it today. I was lucky I didn't overuse my quirk, or else I'd have a fever right now. My poison uses my body heat to form, so right now all I'm sacrificing is my warmth.

Once I reached the park, I sat down on one of the swings. I rested my head on the chain next to me and sighed. This was one hell of a day. I won't be able to have a break once I get home though. If this makes it to the news, I'm going to really hear it from Kari. She won't be able to shut up about it.

"Fufu!" A familiar voice called out, and I lifted my head up from the swing. I spotted Yui running towards me with a big grin on her face.

"Hey." I greeted the girl, and she bounced in excitement.

"How was another day at U.A.?" She beamed, clasping her hands behind her. That's right, U.A. is her dream school.

"It was exhausting." I replied, and she tilted her head.

"Why? Did you do a lot of cool training?" She asked, and I sighed.

"Something like that." I replied, standing up from the swing.

"Really?! What'd you do?!" She grinned, running around me in circles as I walked over to the willow tree.

"We learned how to fight villains." I sat down under the tree, resting my back against the trunk.

"Villains? Like real ones?" She plopped down next to me, and I looked down at her.

"No. They were fake. It was only training." I lied. I didn't want to panic the girl. She was only a child, there was no need to scare her.

"Aw... I hope you get to fight real ones some day! You can save a whole bunch of people!" Yui cheered, pumping her fists in the air, and I blinked.

"Yeah... Maybe." I looked down, a small smile gracing my face. Yui stopped yelling, and she fell dead silent. I looked back up at her to see the girl staring at me.

"What?" I gave Yui a puzzled look, and her mouth fell open in awe.

"You... You smiled!" She yelled, pointing at me. My eyes widened as she stood up from the ground.

"You smiled! You smiled! Fufu, a real smile was just on your face!" She jumped around, and I blinked.

"I'm so happy! I made you smile! Please, Fufu, do it again! It's so pretty!" Yui beamed, and I drew back a little.

"H-Huh?!" I stared at the excited child as she pointed at me.

"Like this, Fufu!" She reached out, and touched my cheeks. Yui pushed on my skin to force me to smile. She laughed at my expression, and I sighed.

The girl suddenly stopped, and looked at the sky.

"Oh man! I've got to get home! Bye bye, Fufu! I hope I get to see your pretty smile again!" Yui waved at me with a big grin before running off.

"What... just happened...?" I muttered, touching my cheek. I watched Yui leave the tree, and I leaned my head against the trunk. I began to feel my eyes drift shut as my fatigue hit me all at once.

"Doku?" I felt a hand touch my shoulder, and I immediately slapped it away. I fell backwards, aside from the tree, crawling back after being startled.

"Woah, woah! I didn't mean to scare you!" A familiar voice exclaimed, and I looked up to see Iida squatting before me.

"I..." My voice trailed off, and I brought a hand to my head. I shivered, quickly noticing the drop in temperature, not that my quirk helped me by using the only heat I had left.

"What are you doing here? It's pretty late." Iida asked, and I sighed. I crawled back to the tree, and sat against it again.

"I'm sleeping, what does it look like?" I growled, resting my arm on my bent knee.

"Yes, I know that. But why? It's almost 10:00pm." He replied, I looked away with a frown.

"Guess I lost track of time." I mumbled. That was a fat lie. I waste as much time as I can out here.

"Really? Well you better start heading home. I wouldn't want your parents to get worried." Iida stated, and I tensed, my frown deepening.

"Right..." I muttered. "Why are you out here, though?" I turned to look at the boy.

"I'm on a late night run! I usually do so when I need to clear my head!" He explained, lifting his finger in the air.

"What are you clearing your head from? Math equations?" I teased, and Iida jumped slightly.

"Of course not! I need those!" He replied, and I rolled my eyes.

"Then what is it?" I sighed, resting my chin in my hand.

"It's actually..." The boy looked away. "It's nothing." He finished, and I raised a brow.

"Okay...?" I shifted so I could rest my head back onto the tree. "I'm going back to sleep. Goodnight." I stated.

"Huh?! Wait! Shouldn't you go home? You should sleep in your bed!" Iida shouted, and I groaned.

"I don't feel like it." I replied, and he sighed.

"I'll walk you there. Come on." He stood up, and I stared blankly at him.

"No." I replied, and he firmly adjusted his glasses.

"That is not an option, Doku. You must get a good night's rest! Now allow me to assist you on your walk home!" Iida insisted, and I frowned.

"I think I can get a good night's rest or whatever right here." I replied with a shrug.

"Nonsense! Surely the ground isn't better than a bed!" The boy announced, and I sighed, closing my eyes.

"Fine. Just shut up already." I stated, and Iida slowly outstretched his hand. I blinked, realizing his caution. Does he remember the time I flinched when he offered me his hand?

I quickly discarded those thoughts as I grabbed the boy's hand, allowing him to pull me up.

"Now, lead the way Doku!" Iida walked beside me, and I slipped my hand out of his. The crisp chilly night air attacked my hand as soon as it left Iida's. I almost missed the warmth he emitted.

Huh?! No! I'd rather freeze to death than touch that dumbass nerd!

I began to walk towards my apartment with Iida striding beside me.

"Do you go to that park often, Doku?" Iida asked, and I turned to look up at him.

"Why do you want to know?" I replied, crossing my arms.

"I was only curious. It seems like you knew the place well." He stated, and I looked back ahead of me.

"Yeah. I do." I muttered, and Iida hummed in thought.

Soon enough, we arrived at my apartment and I stood in front of the stairs.

"Thanks." I mumbled, looking away from the nerd.

"No problem. But you'll have to pay the price for me." Iida stated, and I tensed.

"But I didn't want you to walk me here in the first place!" I exclaimed, and the boy shook his head.

"You have to be on time to school! No tardiness!" He ordered, and I groaned.

"What? I didn't agree to this!" I whined, and Iida crossed his arms.

"Too bad, it is what I've decided!" He concluded, and I sighed.

"Fine, I'll try. But I don't make any promises." I grumbled, and Iida let out a triumphant laugh.

"I'm counting on you, Doku!" He stated, and I looked up at him. Iida beamed down at me. His expression was so encouraging and genuine I couldn't help but stare. I quickly caught myself, and turned around.

"Whatever. Goodnight." I lazily waved to the nerd without turning around. I heard Iida say his goodbyes as I continued to walk up the stairs.

I stopped at my front door and took a deep breath.

Please be asleep. Please be asleep.

I opened the door, and felt all my hopes shrivel and die. There sitting before me was Kari, a scowl plaguing her face.

"Home late again, Fuyo?" Her tone dripped with hatred, and I closed the door behind me with a sigh.

"Yeah. Seems so." I replied, and the woman stood up. I flinched, covering my face in defense. Kari swung her arm down, hitting my arm with something hard. I kept in my cries of pain, and glanced at what Kari had hit me with.

It was the remote. She went to swing at me again, and I lifted my arm again. She hit me not too far from the place she did before.

"Learn your place before you decide to talk to me like that. Such a disrespectful child. I guess I'll have to give you what you deserve." Kari glared down at me, and I squeezed my eyes shut, just wanting to go back to the park.

"You did this to yourself, I don't know why you're making it seem like I'm the bad guy here." Kari stated as she lurked around me. I prepared to take the beating, too scared to dare defy her.

The woman gave me a strong kick to the back. I crashed into the floor, slamming my elbow into the ground. Kari walked up to me and stomped on my torso. I cringed, keeping my pain inside. I did as my parents taught me.

"Stand up, brat." Kari grabbed my arm, yanking me off the ground. She bent down slightly, and stared me in the eyes.

"Such a shame I can't bash in that ugly face of yours. It would cause too much suspicion at that precious little U.A. you attend." She spat, and I looked away.

"Disgusting. Get the hell away from me." She hissed, and I quickly took my opportunity to leave. I entered my room, locking the door as I sat on my bed. I groaned quietly, my arm and side throbbing in pain.

All I wanted to do was go to sleep, but I knew the chances of that were low.
