I groaned, rolling out of bed. I had been up since 2am. Kari had been banging around in the kitchen, probably looking for alcohol. She had also barged into my room a couple times to yell at me for no reason. I had gotten to sleep for about thirty minutes before I realized that school had started five minutes ago.

"Whoops." I muttered, getting ready for school. Kari had left earlier, which is why I got to sleep for thirty minutes.

I carelessly made my way to school, not really minding that I was late. Once I approached the school, I was about twenty-five minutes late. However, that's not what was bothering me.

I grimaced as I stared right at a crowd of the press right in front of the gates.

"That stupid security system practically killed me!" A woman yelled, and I rolled my eyes. This idiot tried to get in herself. I shoved my way through the sea of people, just trying to get to class.

"Hey, you! Are you in All Might's class? Tell me, what's he like?" The same woman asked, shoving a microphone in my face.

"Screw off." I hissed, swatting the microphone away. I turned back around, preparing to walk through the gates.

"How rude! Can you believe this girl is in All Might's class?!" I heard her scream into a camera, and I sighed. She doesn't even know for sure that I'm in his class.

I entered the building, and headed for class. Once I arrived, I slid open the doors to see a tired looking Aizawa turn to glare at my tired looking self.

"Late. Again." He grumbled, and I shrugged.

"Oops." I carelessly stated, and he sighed.

"Just take your seat." He dismissed me, and I walked to the back of class. I plopped down in my desk, leaning back lazily in my chair.

"Why are you late again?!" Iida turned around to face me. "Punctuality is an important skill one must learn!" He whisper yelled.

"I overslept." I shamelessly replied, and he narrowed his eyes at me.

"You need to take this class more seriously!" He quietly scolded me, and I leaned forward, resting my head in my arms.

"Mhm. Right. Yeah." I muttered, closing my eyes.

"Let's get down to business." I heard Mr. Aizawa announce to the class. "Our first task will decide your future."

The class filled with murmurs, and I mentally groaned. It better not be another Quirk Test.

"You all need to pick a class representative." The teacher finished, and the room was filled with sighs of relief.

"Pick me, guys! I wanna be class rep!"

"I'll take it!"

"Yeah, you're gonna need me."

"Someone with style would be best."

"I'm, like, totally the right pick!"

Students began to volunteer, and I groaned, shoving my head further into my arms.

"Silence, everyone, please!" Iida shouted, catching everyone's attention.

"The class representative's duty is to lead others. That's not something just anyone can do. You must first have the trust of every student in the classroom. Therefore, the most logical way to fill this position is democratically. We will hold an election to choose our leader!" He yelled. He definitely just wants people to pick him.

"Is this really the best idea?" Kaminari asked.

"We've only known each other a few days, how do we know who we can trust?" Tsu questioned.

"She's got a point." I stated, my voice muffled since my face was still shoved in my arms.

"Besides, everyone'll just vote for themselves." Kirishima spoke up.

"Most people will. But that means
whoever does receive multiple votes must truly be the most suitable person for the job. It's the best way, right, sir?" Iida turned towards the teacher.

"Do what you want, just decide before my nap's over." Mr. Aizawa replied, and I snickered.

"Thank you for your trust!" Iida yelled, thanking the teacher. I felt myself quickly slipping into a slumber on my desk.

"How did I get three votes?!" Midoriya's scream yanked me out of my sleep, and I slightly jumped, looking up from my arms.

"Okay, you idiots, who voted for him?!" Bakugo yelled, shooting up from his desk.

"What, did you honestly think anyone was gonna vote for you?" Sero laughed, and the blonde growled.

"What did you just say?!" Bakugo yelled, threatening the boy.

"Zero votes..." Iida sulked, and I snickered. "I feared this might happen, but I can't argue with the system I chose!" Iida whined.

"So you voted for someone else, huh?" Yaoyorozu frowned, staring at Iida.

"But you knew it was best to vote for yourself, right? What were you tryin' to prove here, Iida?" Sato asked, and Iida looked back at the board.

I set my head back into my arms, and closed my eyes again. I saw zero votes by my name, and I didn't really care. There's no way in hell I'd want to become the class rep. Too much work, responsibility, and attention.

"Wait. The numbers don't match!" Iida screamed, counting the votes outloud. "Who didn't vote!" He yelled.

"Doku!" A sudden bang on my desk made me shoot up from my arms, startled from the noise.

"Huh?" I wiped the drool from my cheek, and stared up at Iida who loomed over my desk.

"You didn't vote, did you!" He leaned down, and I scooted my chair back.

"Nope." I shrugged, and he took a long inhale to try and calm himself.

"Everyone. Needs. To. Vote." With each word, he sliced his hand down in a chopping motion.

"Alright fine." I sighed, and Iida brightened.

"Good!" He smiled, straightening back up.

"I'll give my vote to Midoriya." I snickered, watching Iida frown, Bakugo explode, and and Midoriya freak out.

"All right, the class rep is Midoriya, and our deputy is Yaoyorozu." Mr. Aizawa announced, standing up from the floor.

"Really? Uh. It's not a mistake?" Midoriya nervously looked among the class.

"How'd this happen?" Yaoyorozu sighed, shaking her head.

"This might not be so bad." Tsu stated.

"Yeah, I can get behind Midoriya I guess." Kirishima agreed.

"Yaoyorozu was totally on top of it when it came to our training results!" Kaminari added, looking at the girl at the front of class.

I sat next to Midoriya in the cafeteria. A yawn escaped me as I looked at everyone bustling around in the room.

"It's always so crowded in here!" Uraraka sighed.

"That's because students in the support, management, and hero courses all share the same cafeteria." Iida explained.

"This rice is delicious!" Uraraka beamed as she munched on on food.

"Guys, I'm kinda worried about the class rep thing, I don't think I'm qualified." Midoriya muttered, nervously picking at his food.

"Sure you are." Uraraka smiled.

"You'll be great." Iida stated.

"You're fine. A hero fanatic like you should have what it takes." I shrugged.

"Hm?" Midoriya looked up from his food.

"Your courage and quick thinking under stress will help make you a worthy leader. Not to mention the strength you've demonstrated. Those are the reasons I voted for you, at least." Iida explained.

"You were one of the four?" Midoriya stared at the boy. "I mean, I know that Doku was one of them since she announced it, but I didn't know it was you too."

"I mainly just wanted to piss Bakugo off." I smirked, and Midoriya flinched.

"So brave..." He mumbled.

"Didn't you wanna be rep really badly Iida, I mean you do look the part. 'Cause of the glasses!" Uraraka spoke up, and I bursted out into laughter.

"HAHA! NERD!" I pointed at Iida, irking him. He lightly kicked me under the table, so I stomped on his foot. He kicked me again in return, so I did too.

"Guys stop!" Midoriya yelled at us, and we both went back to our sides of the table. "That's not exactly how we should be choosing our rep." Midoriya muttered, referring to Uraraka's glasses comment.

"Wanting a job and being suited to it are quite different things. Observing the Iida family's hero agency has taught me that much." Iida stated.

"Agency?" Both Midoriya and Uraraka repeated. I only leaned back in my seat, remembering the weird honoring his family name speech he gave the other day.

"Hold on, what does your family do?" Midoriya asked.

"Uh‐ Oh, it's nothing." Iida stuttered, and I raised a brow.

"Y'know, I've been wondering something about you." Uraraka started. "Admit it, Iida. You're filthy rich!" She beamed.

"Uh‐ I was afraid people would treat me differently if they knew about my family." The boy looked away. I blinked, staring at Iida. We had the same mindset, even if we had completely different situations. I kept my villain family a secret, while he kept his hero one a secret.

"Oooh..." Both Midoriya and Uraraka struggled to keep both their interest and questions back as they beamed at Iida.

"You see, the Iidas have been pro heroes for generations. It runs in our blood." He explained.

"What? That's awesome!" They yelled.

"Are the three of you familiar with the Turbo Hero, Ingenium?" Iida asked.

"Huh? Sounds dumb." I narrowed my eyes. Who the hell is that?

"Excuse you, Doku! Ingenium is not dumb at all! Take that back!" Iida slammed on the table, springing up from his seat.

"Nah." I shrugged, and he glared at me. I shot him a smug smirk in return.

"I know all about him!" Midoriya interjected.

"He's a super‐popular pro with 65 sidekicks working alongside him at his Tokyo agency! Don't tell me..." He stopped, and stared at Iida.

"He's my elder brother!" Iida announced proudly putting his hands on his hips.

"Your family's famous!" Uraraka shouted.

"I can't believe it!" Midoriya exclaimed.

"Great." I grumbled.

"Ingenium is an unmatched commander who honors the hero code. As the second oldest Iida son, I strive to be just like him. However, I think it might be a bit soon for me to be in a
real leadership role. You, for example." Iida turned to Midoriya.

"You figured out what the judges were looking for in the practical exam. A rep needs that sort of insight." Iida's face was graced by a genuine smile, and I couldn't help but stare.

"That's the first time I've seen you smile, Tenya! You should do it more!" Uraraka complimented, and I blinked. My eyes widened slightly, so I shut them. Was I really just gazing at the most annoying student in my class?! No damn way. Absolutely not!

"What're you talking about? I smile all the time! Iida shouted, and I scoffed.

"Right. Just like how I beam like a little girl all the time." I sarcastically remarked, and Iida huffed.

"Hey, yeah, so about that practical exam‐" Midoriya started before being cut off by a loud bell ripping through the air.

"What the hell...?" I looked up from my food.

"What is that?" Midoriya gasped.

Warning. Level Three security breach." A woman's voice announce through the speakers.

"No way!" Somebody next to us exclaimed.

"Sounds lovely." I sighed, crossing my arms.

"All students please evacuate the building in an orderly fashion.

"What's a "Level Three security breach?" Iida asked some guy next to him.

"It means that someone's managed to get past the school's barriers! This hasn't happened in my three years here. We should get going!" The guy yelled before running off.

I groaned before entering the hallway with everyone else. All the students were panicking and pushing everyone around them. I was unfortunately near Iida, and the crowded hallways kept me next to him.

"Ow! This is a total mob!" Uraraka yelled, not too far ahead of us.

"Ya think?!" I replied, trying to push forwards, away from Iida.

"Everyone was quick to react! As I'd expect from UA students!" Iida shouted, and I got pushed backwards. I slammed into Iida's chest and sighed.

"Sure. But they're also causing a huge panic!" Midoriya exclaimed. Somebody pushed Iida forward, pressing him closer into my back.

"Crap! I can't stop!" Midoriya exclaimed before being swallowed by the crowd.

"Oh no, Deku!" Uraraka yelled after the boy.

"Would you losers quit pushing?!" I yelled, quickly growing tired of this situation. Somebody from the side fell into me, elbowing my injured shoulder, and I winced, hissing in pain.

"Watch it!" Iida yelled at the boy, gently placing his hand over my injured shoulder, guarding it from harm. My eyes widened in surprise at the act. I tilted my head down, feeling a small blush creep up to my face.

"Who in the world could've trespassed onto campus grounds?" I heard Iida's voice from behind me. I turned towards the window, re-composing myself. I saw a crowd of people down below with a bunch of cameras and reporters.

"Looks like the press. Figures." I stated, leaning my head back to look up at the boy I was pressed up against.

"Right!" He tilted his head, looking back down at me. "I was afraid it was some

kind of attack on the school," He then looked back forwards, gazing at the students around him.

"But there's no need to worry, everyone!" He tried to inform them before getting shoved forwards again. He lifted his other hand to my shoulder, trying to stable himself.

Uraraka suddenly screamed, catching our attention.

"Uraraka!" We both yelled, and I saw her being carried away by the crowd.

"Iida, Doku, help me!" She cried, reaching out to us. Iida gasped loudly, startling me.

"I have an idea!" He yelled, taking a hand off me. He leaned forwards over my shoulder, reaching his arm out.

"Touch my hand! Make me float above
everyone else!" He yelled, and both Uraraka and I realized what he was doing. The girl touched his hand, taking his gravity away.

He jumped into the air, above the students. His glasses flew off, and I quickly caught them. I smirked, and slipped them into my sleeve. Iida used his engines to boost himself across the hallway, and did a bunch of flips into the wall. I suppressed my laugh as I watched him pose like the exit sign.

"Listen up, everything is okay! It's just the media outside! There's absolutely
nothing to worry about! Everything's fine! We're UA students! We need to remain calm and prove that we're the best of the best!" Iida yelled at the crowd of students below, and they all stopped. Many sighs of relief flooded through the students, including mine.

"Look, the police are here!"

"Thank goodness."

We were back in the classroom, and I leaned back in my chair. I was twirling my pencil between my fingers as I sat in boredom.

"Doku! Where are my glasses?" Iida slammed his hand on my desk, narrowing his eyes at me. I smirked, and shrugged.

"Don't know. Why are you asking me? Shouldn't you be searching the hallway?" I teased, and he sighed.

"I need those to see properly, Doku!" He shouted, and my eyes widened.

"Really?! I had no idea!" Sarcasm dripped from my tone as the boy grew more irritated.

"I have no time for your pointless schemes! Now hand over my glasses before class starts!" He ordered, and I leaned forwards, placing my chin in my hand.

"I don't know what you're taking about." A malicious smirk snaked across my face as I leaned in closer to Iida. He stared at me for a second, his eyes going wide. He then quickly backed away, shaking his head.

"Doku!" He yelled in frustration. I watched Yaoyorozu and Midoriya walk to the front of class.

"It's time, class rep. Let's begin." Yaoyorozu announced as Midoriya stood nervously beside her. Iida immediately turned around, engaging in class.

I snickered quietly as I pulled Iida's glasses out from my sleeve, placing them on my face. I blinked a couple times, adjusting to the prescription before looking back at Yaoyorozu and Midoriya.

"Um. Okay, so we need to figure out who the other class officers will be." The boy's voice shook as he struggled to talk in front of the class. "But first, there's something that I wanna say. I've thought a lot about this. And I think that Tenya Iida should be our class rep!" He announced.

My pencil slipped between my fingers as I stared at Midoriya in surprise. Iida gasped, not expecting this speech.

"He was able to capture everyone's attention and get us in line. So I believe that he should be the one leading our class from now on!" He finished.

"Yeah, you know what? If Midoriya vouches for him, I'm good. Plus he was a big help. He totally manned up
and took charge, right?" Kirishima spoke up.

"Yup!" Kaminari agreed. "Oh! Did you notice he looked like the dude on the emergency exit signs when he was on the wall earlier?"

"This is a waste of time. I don't care who the rep is, just hurry up." Aizawa stated from the corner in his sleeping bag. Midoriya flinched, shivering from the man's sudden appearance.

"If Midoriya is nominating me for this job..." Iida stood up from his seat. "Then I humbly accept! I pledge to carry out
the duties of class rep to the best of my abilities!" He announced.

"Sounds good, Emergency Exit!" Kirishima laughed.

"Emergency Exit Iida! Don't let us down, man!" Kaminari grinned.

"Yeah, you're definitely the right fit, Iida." I spoke up, and the boy turned around. He froze, immediately noticing his glasses on my face.

"Doku, you give those to me right this instant! I knew you'd stolen them!" He yelled, shoving his finger in my face.

"Nah. I need them to see properly." I grinned slyly, quoting the boy from earlier.

"Would you behave yourself for once?! Give me my glasses, Doku!" Iida yelled, reaching for the frames on my face. I leaned back in my chair, avoiding his grasp.

"Go, Emergency Exit Iida! Get your glasses back!" Kaminari cheered.

"Don't let him catch you, Doku!" Jiro called out. I kept avoiding Iida's swipes for his glasses as he heaved in anger. I folded my arms behind my head, and propped my feet up on the desk.

"What- Why you- oh!" Iida fumbled over his words in frustration. "What did I tell you about putting your feet on the desks!" He yelled motioning to my position.

"I don't know. I kinda just tune you out." I shrugged, and some of the class let out a few snickers. Iida walked over to me, and leaned down over my chair. I looked back up at him daringly, and we narrowed our eyes at each other.

Iida then snatched his glasses off my face before walking away. He slammed back down in his seat, grumbling to himself quietly. I snickered as I stared at the back of his head. What a loser.
