The shrill shrieks of energetic children playing amongst themselves to their hearts greatest desires was the perfect background music to the romantic picnic Taehyung had organized for he and his boyfriend in the park that day. The visual of tiny, carefree bodies swinging across the monkey bars, sliding down the colorful slides at each end of the playground was one that could lighten the mood to anyone's day. Even Park Jimin's, who could be seen smiling to himself at the little boys and girls participating in games of tag and competing for who could swing the highest just for the fun of it. The pure joy and happiness the park radiated was the perfect distraction for him without a doubt.

The snap of a metallic soda can top followed by the fizzle of the liquid it contained brought Jimin to train his gaze onto the boy who sat on the opposite side of the traditional red and white checkerboard cloth, looking directly at him. The familiar lips curled into a content smile as the freshly opened soda was passed across to Jimin along with a saran wrapped sandwich and a platter of an array of fruits and vegetables to serve as a center dish between the couple.

"I wasn't sure what you'd be in the mood for, so I packed just about everything." The silver-haired boy set aside the basket that was used to transport the food from the car to the section of grass that was just far enough away from the playground that it felt somewhat private, yet close enough to allow the sounds and sights and feel of the unbothered innocence to infiltrate their own attitudes.

Jimin took a second to observe and appreciate all of the food that had been placed out neatly before him. "It's more than enough, babe. How long did it take you to prepare all this?" The gratefulness was apparent in his eyes.

"Ah, forget about me. Let's just focus on taking this time to appreciate getting to spend time together and make new memories!" Taehyung was quite the charmer when he wanted to be, his signature wink making an appearance.

The older, as always, felt the release of butterflies inside his stomach, taking a bite of his sandwich to help digest them. Meanwhile, mumbling out a shy 'thank you' in between chews.

"Anything for my love," the younger smiled. He began unwrapping his own sandwich, giving Jimin time to swallow before carrying on a conversation to keep the happy momentum going. Although he had an entire day planned to help out his boyfriend, he was going to make every second count, and any second Jimin wasn't spending smiling or laughing was a second Taehyung wasn't doing his job as a good boyfriend.

"How is it?" The silver-haired boy almost cringed as he hoped the food he prepared met Jimin's standards. The boys reaction seemed unreadable from all he could tell.

To his relief, the older merely giggled at his concern. "Don't worry, it tastes amazing! Anything you touch is automatically perfect."

"Then I guess I've touched you more times than I can count." The cocky eyebrow raise complemented the cheesy remark nicely due to Jimin throwing his head back in amused laughter, slapping his boyfriend in the knee when he returned to an upright position.

"Sometimes I wonder why I like you so much," Jimin scoffed.

"Are you kidding? My smooth pickup lines are my best asset!"

     "Actually, I disagree."

"Oh really? Then what is?" The younger wore a smirk of accomplishment as he sipped on his soda, waiting for the compliment shower to begin.

Jimin caught on pretty quickly, a fire lighting in his eyes as well. This confused Taehyung but he listened along anyway.

"Hm... let's see." Jimin placed a finger against his chin to appear to be in deep thought. That same mischievous look in his eyes remaining. "You have a pretty smile, and a really sharp, defined jaw. Oh, and your hands are really big and veiny which I like." The older shifted his eyes side to side. "But if I had to choose one thing about you that's my favorite, it would certainly have to be your huge, massive, gigantic, enormous..."

Taehyung's eyes expanded to an impossible width as he anticipated the words he expected to leave his boyfriend's mouth.

"...personality!" Jimin chimed, smiling teasingly at the younger.

He watched proudly as Taehyung's shoulders relaxed and a held in exhale reigned free. The silver-haired boy rolled his eyes, taking another sip of his drink. Although, the fun wasn't over yet for Jimin.

"Oh yeah, and your big dick."

Soda spewed from Taehyung's mouth, showering a patch of nearby grass, barely missing Jimin who was already laughing like a maniac. The younger quickly wiped his lips that dripped the beverage that had unexpectedly shot from his mouth out of shock.

"What the hell, Jimin." The embarrassed boy half laughed, half scolded.

Jimin held his waist that was beginning to cramp from excessive laughter. "I'm sorry, I saw the opportunity, and I took it!"

Taehyung simply shook his head, fanning away his blush. "How would you even know? You've never even seen it!"

Jimin stopped laughing momentarily. He looked the boy up and down. "I don't need to see anything to know that you're packing down there."

The younger paused to think about the logistics of what was just said, but pushed it aside almost immediately. "Here I am, thinking you were gonna be cute, but boy was I wrong." Finally he gave in, joining his boyfriend in laughter, but making sure to spend time to admire the beautiful smile he was getting the opportunity to see much more than he was spending to laugh because getting to see his Jimin experience happiness was much more enjoyable for Taehyung.

Eventually, the picnic came to an end, the younger writing it off as successful with the exception of the few times he'd caught Jimin looking off into the distance solemnly, his mind clearly in another place. Though each time he'd fix the older's attention back onto something positive which seemed to help bring back his smile momentarily.

Now, since the completion of activity number one, the couple were seated in Taehyung's car on their way to the next destination which was to be a surprise for Jimin.

The smaller boy played with his sleeves out of excitement, no words being exchanged though the silence still being comforting. The soft hum of the radio took up most of the white noise, Taehyung tapping on the steering wheel rhythmically to the beat of the song, Jimin just watching the morning sky through the windshield contently.

The drive was only about ten minutes in and Jimin began to grow familiar of the area his boyfriend was navigating. His mind shuffled through ideas of where he could possibly be taking him, but he decided to just find out when they arrive to not ruin the surprise for himself.

Taehyung seemed to take notice, placing a distracting hand on the older's thigh to keep his mind busy on trying to cool down his now burning cheeks rather than the location they would be stopping at next. Like always, it worked like a charm.

"Tell me something," The abrupt slice to the silence that the couple basked in was ceased by the boy behind the wheel as a way to further keep Jimin's attention averted from the windows that revealed the direction in which the vehicle was heading, presenting a conversation starter in the meantime. "Have you ever tried doing a sport?"

Jimin cocked his head to the side curiously, tracing around the fingers that were glued to his thigh. "By no means am I the athletic type, but my mom tried to put me in tee-ball when I was a kid," he laughed at the idea. "Of course that didn't last for long once my five year old brain discovered that getting hit by a baseball hurts, but other than that not really."

Taehyung nodded after the completed response, secretly melting at the gentle touches Jimin was applying to his hand. Just as he began to speak up the older cut him off with an added thought.

"—that is, unless you count the time I took ballet with Jaehee."

The younger's interest was caught instantly as he switched his gaze off of the rode briefly to look at his boyfriend intently. "You did ballet?"

Jimin halfway smiled at the silver-haired boy's peak in interest, sliding one of his many rings on and off of his fingers continuously. "Sort of. I just remember going to one of Jaehee's dance recitals and asking my mom if I could do it too..."

Taehyung tensed at the mention of Jimin's mother's name in fear that the older would grow moody again, but he seemed unfazed by it as he continued.

"Of course, she said yes, and I actually ended up sticking with it for about a year. However, Jaehee ended up quitting to do gymnastics and not having her in my classes made it less enjoyable for me so, I decided to quit after that." Jimin looked up from his boyfriend's hand to admire the boy's face instead, smiling at the sight of his subtle grin.

"Do you wish you would've stuck with it?" The silver-haired boy asked genuinely, meeting the older's eyes.

Jimin immediately looked down again, taking a moment to think about his answer. "If I'm being honest, not really. I mean, the only reason I did it was because I wanted to be like Jaehee, and even though I actually ended up enjoying it myself, being on a stage wasn't really my thing."

Taehyung nodded in understanding, knowing how introverted his boyfriend tended to be. "Did you know that I've taken ballet before?"

Jimin widened his eyes in disbelief. "No way."

"Yes way," Taehyung started. "We were required to take ballet training for football. Coach said something about balance and technique and a bunch of other words I don't understand, but the entire team indeed did it believe it or not."

Jimin shook his head, letting out a giggle due to his running imagination. "I'm just trying to picture you and all the other buff guys on the team wearing tights which, now that I think about it, I'd like too see in person."

"Believe me when I say it wasn't a pretty sight. Coach even took us to a whole dance studio, and we made Junhyeon wear a tutu." The younger laughed at the memories, reminiscing in the bittersweet aftertaste of them.

Jimin simply shuddered at the mere thought, flipping over his boyfriend's hand so that they could interlock fingers. Then there was only thoughtful silence again as the pair approached their destination, Taehyung grabbing a parking spot close to the front of the building that was labeled with a neon sign that could hardly be seen in the brightness of day.

"After you, my dear." The younger smirked as he waited for Jimin to exit his car first before he did the same, being sure to beat him to the entrance so that he could hold the door open for him.

Jimin mentally scolded himself for not even bothering to read the sign outside to give him an idea of where exactly he was being taken, but he'd just have to go inside to find out. With a swift slip through the door that was held open by his boyfriend he was instantly met with the soft sound of party music complimented by blue and violet fluorescent lighting and the subtle smell of concession foods towards an isolated side of the building. Then came the sound that gave it all away. The familiar crash of a bowling ball against the smooth wooden alley was met with the topple of several pins telling Jimin exactly where he was before he could even see beyond the front lounge area of the place.

Suddenly, two hands clutched onto either of Jimin's shoulders along with a gentle voice in his ear. "I thought it would be fun if we went bowling. What do you think?"

The chills that took over the older's neck where Taehyung's minty breath fanned told the reason to his shy smile as he turned around to meet his favorite eyes. "Sounds perfect, love."

The silver-haired boy leaned down slowly to peck his boyfriend's precious smile before dragging his significantly smaller hand towards the counter to get the required bowling shoes for the both of them.

The yawning man behind the counter placed the different sized shoes as told by the couple on top of the ledge, seeming completely uninterested in his job. "Bumpers or no bumpers?" The monotonous voice droned.

"None, please." Taehyung answered earning a jab in his side from Jimin who wasn't too confident in his bowling skills without bumpers.

"You'll be in lane thirteen. If you start to feel hungry be sure to check out our delicious snack bar. Remember, no outside foods or drinks are prohibited past this area. Have a great time." It was almost comedic how tired and miserable the forced sentences came out, but the couple chose to ignore it.

"Thank you, sir." Taehyung waved off the young man, taking Jimin's hand into his as he weaved through racks of bowling balls to get to the designated lane they were assigned.

"I'm gonna let you go find us a ball while I put in our names." Taehyung offered, already taking a seat behind the machine where you enter the player names.

Jimin obediently nodded, making his way towards the multicolored racks, leaving the younger alone. He immediately started picking up different bowling balls to test the weights of them, trying to find a good balance of one that is light enough for him to pick up while still being heavy enough so that Taehyung won't accidentally throw it through the roof.

Luckily, he found a decent one fairly quickly, walking the pastel pink object back over to the lane he and the younger would be playing at.

"I think I found a good one!" The older chimed as he sided by the silver-haired boy who wore a mischievous grin.

That's when Jimin looked up to read the names that had been entered reading: Taehyung and mochi minnie.

Almost on cue, Jimin's face was painted a loud red shade as he shoved Taehyung playfully. "Really!?"

Deep laughter flooded the blushing boy's ears as Taehyung couldn't have been more satisfied with the name he chose for Jimin. "I couldn't help it! I was given the opportunity and I took it."

Jimin only rolled his eyes, forcefully handing the bowling ball the the younger so that he could go pout in a chair until it was his turn. Taehyung didn't seem to mind as he gathered himself and stood up to the raised platform, bringing the ball to his chest before swinging his arm back and releasing the ball forward to barrel down the track shortly before crashing into the pins placed at the end of the lane.

Jimin watched intrigued as pin after pin after pin went down until there was only one left standing. Taehyung exhaled with determination clear in his eyes as he waited by the ball return, already planning his strategy to knock down the last pin.

And just like the last time, Taehyung released the ball with perfect accuracy, demolishing the remaining pin.

"Spare!" The celebrating boy boasted, dancing his way over to Jimin who sat still with and impressed expression. "Try and beat that, babe."

Jimin scoffed at the tease, leaping from his seat to retrieve the ball for his turn. C'mon Jimin. It can't be that hard right? Just do it and hope for the best.

Making his way to stand onto the platform approaching the lane, Jimin swallowed, the ball suddenly feeling a lot heavier than it felt before. He already knew he wasn't good at bowling, or any sport for that matter, so this wasn't a walk in the park for him like it was for Taehyung who was the definition of athletic.

Eventually, Jimin just went for it, tossing the ball down the lane, watching it with pure hopefulness. Unfortunately, that all was taken away when the ball made a sharp curve to the right, falling into the gutter.

Taehyung tried so hard to hold back his laugh that he could've sworn his face turned purple. "It's okay, Jimin! You still have one more try!" He yelled from his seat to encourage the boy who he found so adorable when he pouted.

Once again, The older obtained his ball from the conveyer belt, stepping up to the platform, releasing the ball this time with much more force than the last time. For a second the ball seemed to be dead on track for the center giving Jimin some type of hope, but right when it approached the pins, the ball curved only knocking down three of them.

"Better than I expected." The smaller laughed it off, returning to his chair as the date continued.

The game was nearing an end and it didn't take a genius to guess who was in the lead. Taehyung, as expected, kept getting strike after spare after strike while Jimin constantly got gutter-balls and occasionally knocked down a few pins if he got lucky. In short, the game wasn't going to well for the older.

Once again, it was Jimin's turn to bowl, causing him to leave his chair and take his place on the platform in front of lane thirteen. Although, this time he didn't go alone. Taehyung followed right behind him, startling the smaller a bit when he placed a hand on his shoulder.

     "Mind if I help?"

Jimin turned around to find his boyfriend warmly smiling down at him, the release of butterflies throughout the older's body becoming a natural state of his. "Sure."

Taehyung's smile grew as he clasped one hand over Jimin's right hand and the other over his left. "Now, the first thing you wanna do is bring the ball up to your chest with both hands like this."

The warmth of Taehyung's stomach and chest being pressed into Jimin's back along with his honey voice and delicate hands guiding Jimin's into the correct position made him want to melt into a puddle on the floor right then and there, it taking everything within his power to not let it happen.

"Perfect. Now, when you drop your arm and swing it back, you should run up to the lane at the same time." Taehyung gently brought Jimin's hand down by his side, pulling it back to its rightful placing. "And when you get to the line, your arm is going to swing forward, and your right foot should cross behind your left in sort of a squat like this." The younger moved his hand to clutch the back of his boyfriend's thigh, guiding it slowly behind his other leg causing chills to decorate Jimin's skin underneath his clothing. "And then, you release."

Jimin stood back up slowly, the ball still in his hands as he turned around to face the Taehyung. "Try it with me?" He blinked.

"Of course." The silver-haired boy replaced his hands over Jimin's, preparing to put all of the steps together.

Well, that is until the sudden shriek of an intercom came over the bowling arena commanding everyone's attention. "We regret to inform you all that the bowling alley will be closing early due shortage of employees. I repeat, the bowling alley is now closing. We hope you had a wonderful time. Please exit the building as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding. Come again soon!"

Weird glances were exchanged among people as the reason to closing seemed so out of the blue, Jimin and Taehyung simply laughing at the matter, returning the bowling ball to its original location on the racks.

"Looks like we'll never know who won." Taehyung teased, leading Jimin towards the exit who punched the boy out of annoyance from his sarcasm.
