The soft sound of Jimin's pencil repetitively coming in contact with his desk occupied his wandering thoughts, drowning out the teacher's incoherent rambling. His head rested lightly in his palm as he blankly stared at the front of the classroom, insinuating that he was paying attention. However, Jimin's eyes faltered, landing on a desk several seats ahead of him and slightly to the right. In that desk sat a silver-haired boy wearing a red and white letterman jacket, indicating that he was not only an athlete but a sterling one. Jimin indulged in his brilliant silver locks with great admiration.

Ever since the beginning of the school year the attractive male seemed to always pull Jimin's eyes. Because they shared several classes together, Jimin couldn't help but notice him. As far as Jimin could see, the boy didn't sport a single flaw. In Jimin's eyes, he was perfect. Of course, this caused Jimin to develop a crush over time. He couldn't help but fall for the jock with silver hair. He was completely irresistible, and Jimin wasn't the only one who agreed. The silver-haired boy was the star of the school's football team causing several girls to swoon over him and raising his social status to the top of the list. Although this only made Jimin's feelings for him grow stronger, it had no help in getting the athlete to notice him. Jimin just so happened to be the nerdiest kid in school, leaving his social status at a bottom rank. Being a straight 'A' student who found pleasure in reading books with no athletic ability whatsoever wasn't exactly accepted among Jimin's school mates. That lesson was quickly learned from a young age, but that didn't stop him from not conforming to his school's popularity standards. Jimin didn't care if he fit in or not, and that was something he was greatly proud of. However, he began to have his regrets after forming such an attraction toward the most popular guy in school. The only words the two ever exchanged were Jimin giving the boy answers to the homework or helping him understand a lesson. Granted, if interactions ever got anymore intense than that, Jimin wasn't sure if he would survive. Maybe sticking with what he liked was a good idea after all. Despite their severely contrasting differences, Jimin was head over heels for the ethereal creature that was his crush and nothing would ever change that fact.

Ding! Jimin slightly jumped at the abrupt sound of the bell, breaking his gaze on the silver-haired boy. Quietly, Jimin gathered his books together, neatly stacking them so that they were functional to carry. His head hung low as he stood up, avoiding any eye contact with other students getting ready to leave the classroom.

"Hey, Jimin!" A firm hand lurched onto Jimin's shoulder as a voice called out to him.
Hesitantly, his shy eyes shifted up to find a familiar face looming over him with a gentle smile. "Sorry to bother you, but I think I'm gonna need some help with tonight's homework. You know with it being the middle of football season, I just can't focus. Plus, I can't risk bombing another test, so I just thought you could text me the answers." The deep voice sent chills down Jimin's spine as he was frozen in place. The owner of the voice wore a puzzled look as Jimin struggled to form a sentence.

"Y-y-yeah, uhh sure," Jimin nervously repositioned his glasses as he felt himself begin to tremble, "I'll j-just text th-them... um, to you l-l-like always." Jimin ended his stuttering while he rubbed the back of his neck. His face flushed as he bit his lip, darting his eyes to meet the ground. The silver-haired man removed his hand from Jimin's shoulder and grinned out of satisfaction.

"Thanks, dude!" He threw his backpack forcefully over his shoulder, leaving Jimin alone in the classroom.

"What the hell, Park Jimin?" Jimin scolded himself under his breath in response to his behavior in front of his crush. He had just made a complete fool of himself and there wasn't a single thing he could do about it. Flustered, Jimin held his books tightly to his chest as he rushed to his next class. There was only one name in the entire school who could get Jimin all worked up like that. Only one name who could stop Jimin in his tracks just by showing his stunning smile. Only one name who could get Jimin choked up to the point of wanting to pass out. Only one name that could allow Jimin to escape reality and experience genuine happiness. That name was none other than the beautiful, Kim Taehyung.
