You walked up the steps of school clutching onto your backpack as hard as you could. You tried your best to keep away from people but couldn't. You plainly couldn't see, you were blind. You had lost your eyesight naturally and you accepted it. You didn't consider yourself to be crippled or disabled you just consider yourself 'unique'. That's what your mother calls you. You move your walking stick around trying to feel around the steps when you feel arms hook around your hips. "Here, let me help you." You hear the cool voice tremble down your neck. It was Adrien one of your good and only friends.

You could feel his once bright green eyes peer onto you as you make your way up to the school, with Adrien. Your eyes, as he could see them, were a blurry e/c. "Adrien!" A high pitched squeaky voice calls him. You already knew it was Chloe whom had been trying to grab his attention for several years now.

You couldn't stand her. She would tease you for your blindness and other things to make you feel insecure. You felt your heart pick up the pace and your face flush red as you slowly scoot behind Adrien to get out of her gaze. "And I see you have the blind bat behind you as well." She giggles at her own cruel joke. Adrien frowns. "Stop calling her that. It's cruel!" She makes a face. "But it's true." She argues back. "No it's not, just because she's blind doesn't mean that you can call her that." She humphs and folds her arms and spins around pouting like a child. You hear his feet move against the ground. "Sorry she did that." You smile. "Sorry you have to deal with her all the time..." You say barely above a whisper. He smiles. "Hey! You spoke to me this time." You blush without knowing.

"Why don't you ever say anything to me?" He asks in a caring tone. You shrug and continue moving forward into the school tapping your walking stick around to make sure you don't bump into anything. You could hear him running up behind you and holding onto your shoulder. "I-I can walk by myself..." He chuckles. "Sorry, I didn't mean to make you shout." You start to burst into giggles knowing that he meant it as a joke. You hardly ever raise your voice above a whisper, mainly due to the fact of you not wanting all the attention pointed at you. You could feel his hand slither into yours and grasp it. Slowly he began to tug you over to the side of the hallway. "W-what are you doing?" He doesn't say a word. Next thing you know, a door closes. "A-adrien?" Hands clasped into your own. "Y/n please tell me why you won't talk to me." You squeeze your lips shut. "Y/n..."

"I-I just don't like the attention." He sighs. "I get that, but we've known each other for a while now, aren't you comfortable around me?" You nod. "I am, I-I just...I guess I don't like conversation...I-I like silence." He stays quiet for a while. "A-adrien?" He makes a noise to indicate that he is here. "Where are you?" He taps you. You both stand there in a comfortable silence for a moment until he speaks up. "If your uncomfortable with talking I respect your decision. You could've just told me that and I would have been out of your hair." You smile. "Thank you."

Ughhhhhhh it's soooo shooortttt
