Forty-Two|Going home

The following morning doctor Johnson cleared me to go home. This resulted in me feeling multiple emotions at the same time. Happy because I'm ready to be able to sleep in my own bed for a change, nervous about seeing my parents, scared because now Kira and I have to venture out this protective bubble that's the hospital. Inside our babies are safe and free of harm, nothing can hurt them.

But outside, out in the real world, anything can happen. They can get hurt. We could get into a accident, they could get sick, without our bubble to shield them from germs, things in the world they have no defenses against.

It's physically terrifying walking through the hallway of the hospital. I hold one of the infants car seats, the one with Kai inside it, while Kira carries Kiren and the baby bag. Earlier he'd loaded our duffle bags into the truck so we'll have less things to carry.

It was a smart decision on his part.

One of these infant seats is heavy just by itself. Glancing over at Kira I see he's holding it together better than I am at this moment. His amber eyes are calm and collected, settled in his fatherly role of getting us home, safe and sound. I wish I could say the same for me.

Exiting into the lobby area, there's three staff waiting. Two seated behind computer desks, the last sitting beyond the doors, but not quite outside as there is a second set of doors.

Kira leads the way through those automatic doors. I breathe out as we step outside. The warm air premates through my face mask forming into tiny cloud of air which quickly float away before another replaces it. My face is hit with the thick cold dense wind that comes with winter.

Already so close to the hight of the season my body cries out for warmth.

"Watch your step baby. There's some frozen ice."

Kira's rough Russian voice commands. Causing me to take note of his instruction. I grip the handle of Kai's car seat and carefully step around the sleet of frozen ice I almost stepped on.

"Thanks. I didn't see it."

Kira nods leading us over to his majestic tall fortress like truck. The usual dark grey paint is sullied with dirt and water marks as if it snowed or rained last night.

"Its okay. Are you okay Detka? You seem really quiet."

He noticed. I'm not surprised. Kira always notices how I'm feeling. I can't be anymore thankful for his keen observation whenever it comes to me.

"I'm just nervous. I don't know if it's because they're so fragile but I want to shelter them from danger."

We stopped at the truck. Kira unlocks the back door being quick of securing Kiren's and Kai's car seats. I'm sadly not tall enough to reach inside to do this.

We might need to consider getting another vehicle that's more baby proof.

Once they're inside he closes the door. Thankfully both of them are asleep still from their earlier nap. I feel Kira pick me up all of a sudden.

"Detka, let's get you inside. It's really cold love. Everything's going to be alright. We'll protect them. I'll drive extra slow."

He sets me down and straps me in, just like he's always done. Even on the day I went into labor and he rushed us to this hospital. Not straining even a little. My pregnant belly is smaller now but evident still through my winter jacket.

Kira's index finger curls under my chin holding my face up to his. He beams down at me with certainty, love, and a unannounced promise to take the most care while he drives us home.

"I know you will. Let's go home."

"Okay sweetheart let's get our children home. I love you baby."

"I love you so much I can't even imagine a life without you."

He pecks my forehead then climbs in on his side. Taking my gloved hand, leaving a kiss on it.

"We'll be okay Detka. I'm here, and I'll always be there for you and our children."

Hearing him say this makes my eyes water. Maybe from the cold winds we just walk through made them sensitive. At least that's what someone would think if they didn't know our connection. But I know what it's from, because inside my heart I believe him completely without a doubt. He'll get us home safe and sound.

Kira always says what he means and he always keeps his words.

"Come in guys. Come in. It's so cold out there." Mom greets us at the door.

Kira was putting in his key when the front door opened. She must have been sitting in the living room waiting for us to arrive. Dad comes over taking the duffles from Kira. Somehow he carried both straps over his shoulder and Kiren's car seat. I have Kai and the baby bag.

"It is Julian. We're you guys waiting for us?" Kira asks mom and dad.

We enter closing the front door to Kira's home. Shutting out the winter air.

"Basically. She wouldn't move from the door no matter how much I tried to getting her to wait in the guest room." Dad confirms, smiling lovingly at mom.

I set Kai's car seat down and go to take him out.

"I couldn't wait to see my grandsons. Is that a crime?" Mom replies shaking her head at dad.

"Let me see them." Mom comes beside me as I hold Kai who's still a sleep. I sit down on the sofa. She sits beside me. I turn to she can look at his adorable face.

"Aww. He's beautiful Eureka. He looks so cute. Don't tell me. This is Kiren right." She guess.

I chuckle, knowing she guessed wrong. "No mom. This is Kai. Kira has Kiren." Mom softly touches his hair.

"Oh okay. Kira bring Kiren over so I can see how to tell them apart." Mom whispers but not quiet enough as Kiren starts sniffling indicating he's about to wake up. Kira is quick to bounce him in his arms while rubbing his back.

"Shhh. It's okay bud go back to sleep. Shh." Kira codles him back to sleep. He comes sits on the other side of me. Dad comes over too getting in close so he can see his grandson's.

"You're a natural Kira." Mom makes sure to whisper this time. Kira peers up from Kiren's face to smirk at her comment.

He is. Honestly I feel like he' better than me.

I can calm them down too when I'm breastfeeding but Kira has more tricks in his tool box when it comes to our babies.

"Thank you. This is Kiren. He's quicker to get restless than Kai."

Mom stares at Kiren then back to Kai. There is a tiny almost not noticeable beauty mark under Kai's left eye. Right above his fluffy cheek. This is how I tell them apart.

"They looks exactly alike. How do you guys know whoes who?"

"From Kai's beauty mark right here." I show her the tiny dot above his smooth Carmel brown cheek. She leans in closer seeing it.

"Oh okay. Kai has a beauty mark and Kiren has no mark."

"Naomi if you didn't point that out I wouldn't have seen it. Did you see it before babes?"

Dad asks mom.

I smile at then. Both gush over them. After awhile Kai wakes up and greets his grandparents with a sweet happy smile. He reached out his hand for my dad who gave him his pinky. Kai grabbed onto it so tight, while he smiled with his toothless grin.

Once dad felt him hold his finger and I handed Kai to him. He teared up a little falling under a spell so fast with both of them.

It's so cute seeing his playful side come out to try and tease Kai to smile. I watched sitting beside Kira who held me to him. He kissed my temple whispering. "I can't wait to see my dad like this."

Me too.

Later in the evening Kira and I laid the boys down in their cribs in our room. Mom and dad are occupying the guest room and we want them close for when they wake up during the night.

With them both asleep we finally have some time to ourselves. Kira and I make our way into the bathroom. He stops in front the shower.

"Let's take a shower Detka."

His hair is a disheveled man bun on top his head. Looking effortlessly sexy.

"Okay and after let's eat. I'm hungry again. I swear it's like I'm still pregnant or something."

"You got it sweetheart."

He starts undressing me. I let him as I do the same for him. Removing his thick sweater. I drop it beside us. Going to his pants to un-buckle his belt. Feeling over his zipper. Kira already has me out my own sweater and bra, moving down to my sweatpants.

He pulls them down, ignoring the draw string which was folded under the fabric where I folded the band around my waist so it holds me more snug around my belly.

Kira takes it down. Telling me with his body language to step out of it. When I do he runs his hands over my belly. Tracing over the bump that remains. It's gotten smaller but there's still more to go. My skin has an array of stretch marks around my waist where it stretched to accommodate my growing womb.

I feel Kira who's obsessed with them, trace over each lines he finds. He stares at me, watching me watch him, as he worships my new body. My breasts are bigger. Including my thighs as well and hips.

I watch inhaling as I become aroused by the sight of him bitting his lips as he slowy takes off my panties.

"Detka you're exquisite. I can't wait to get the go ahead so I can fuck you. Does your pussy miss my d>ck?"

He groans out.

Oh god.

I moan out holding his arms. Kira grips my widen hips and squeeze my flesh.

"Fuck. Yess." I manage to whine. He pulls me against him. I bite my lips to the point I taste copper when I felt the enormous erection through his pants. I hadn't removed them fully as I'd gotten distracted.

"Good girl. I miss this as well." Kira growls in my ear, as he cups my pussy. It pulsate against his large hand.

"Oh shit. I want you so bad." I say.

"I know baby but we have to wait. Come let's shower before I fuck you right here."

At his words I swear I felt my vagina pulse as if it knew what he's saying.

We took the most excruciating shower together.

By the time we both climbed out all I can do is send out a prayer that these next six weeks go by fast so I can fuck my man.

"I'm so full now."

"Yeah. That's good. You ready for bed?"

Kira asks. He stands up taking our plates to the sink. Turning on the facet and letting the water run over them for some time before dropping some soap.

"Leave those for tomorrow." I tell him.
He nods. "I know. I don't feel like washing dishes right now. I'm tired."

We'll be tired for awhile until the boys start sleeping through the night. Kira comes back to where I'm already waiting by the stairs for him. He takes my hand then shuts off the kitchen light. We head upstairs.

Mom and dad already headed in for the night. It's been and eventful past couple of days. Giving birth to our healthy pair of twins. The labor was difficult too but I guess it wasn't so bad when I think about Kira being there every step of the way to support me.

Kira and I look in on our babies as soon as we get in the room. They're both fast asleep. Kiren flipped onto his stomach and Kai is laying on his side.

"Aren't they just the two most beautiful things you've ever seen?" I mutter to Kira, so they won't wake up.

"Yes baby. They are, they're perfect."

We watch them for a few more minutes. It's their first night being at home after all. Once I started yawning Kira gave me a look before we climbed into bed.

"Someone's sleepy. Time for bed."

"Yeah." I yawn as I lay on my side with my face against his chest. Kira holds me tight against him. "Good night." He yawns out.

"Night."

Sorry for the mistake earlier. I accidentally published the chapter before I was ready. There was about 400 words written which I ended up deleting. I wrote this entire chapter right after because I wasn't feeling what I had anymore.

Sorry if there is a lot of punctuation errors  becuase I wrote this in one sitting.

What did you guys think?

I like what I wrote instead of what I had. It was going to be in Kira's POv but I changed it.
