It's been a couple of weeks since Sierrah went to the doctor and she received a call this morning that she needs to come in.

"Sierrah it will be ok but I know you are nervous," I said pulling her into me kissing the top of her head.

I drive her to the doctor's office and when Doctor Sally comes in the door she looked concerned.

"Hey, guys!" She said sitting on the stool. "I will just get right to it. Your bloodwork shows some concerning things and I want to have a couple of other tests on you. I want to schedule a CT scan for today." She said.

"Ok but now I'm nervous," Sierrah said.

"Don't be until I tell you so ok? Now let's go get that test done." She said.

I look over at Sierrah and she's about to cry. I stand up and rush over to her side and hug her tight. "Let's get it over with ok?"

She shakes her head and we walk out of the room and the nurse explained for us to go downstairs and check-in.

I hold Sierrah's hand as we get on the elevator and head downstairs. Sierrah signs in and we wait for her name to be called.

"Cam you can't go back there with me I asked." She said tearing up.

"It will be fine. A CT scan isn't anything." I said.

"Have you had one?" She asked.

"Yeah, a couple and they don't hurt," I said just as the door opens and her name is called.

I lean over and kiss her and wink at her. "I will be right here waiting on you," I said watching her disappear behind the door.

I'm not a praying man but I'm begging that nothing be wrong with Sierrah. I can't live without her. We are just getting started. I don't care if we can't have kids or not. I just need her.

Twenty minutes later she came out. "They told me to go back upstairs and they are getting the results to doctor Sally right away. Something is wrong Cam I can just feel it and I'm about to panic." She said.

I squeeze her hand while we rode back upstairs on the elevator. Sierrah signed back in and it wasn't long until we were taken back to another room.

We sit in the chairs side by side and I never let go of her hand. It wasn't long until Doctor Sally walked in and sit down.

"Sierrah your bloodwork came back with your blood count low and that's why I wanted a CT scan." She said opening up an image on the computer screen.

She turns the screen around to show us and takes her marker and circles with the closed cap a blob on the screen. "That right there is cancer in your ovaries." She said.

I completely blanked out and I could hear Sierrah crying which shakes me out of it. "What are my options?" She cried.

"I'm glad we caught it when we did. You are a stage 1 and the cancer is in your ovaries which means they will have to come out. The best option is a total hysterectomy." She said.

"So I'll never have babies but this can save my life?" She asked.

"Sierrah don't worry about babies. I need you to be here with me. You need the surgery." I said.

"How soon can I have the surgery?" She asked.

"I can get you on the schedule asap so Friday morning is open for you." Doctor Sally said.

"Ok, I'll take it. I don't need time to think about it." She said.

I squeezed her hand and smiled over at her. "We will get through this Sunshine," I said.

"I know your family Sierrah and you will have a lot of support. I will put you on my list. They will call with instructions of what time to be there." She said.

"Thank you for everything Doctor Sally. I just need to process it all." Sierrah said.

"I understand! You guys take care and I'll see you early Friday morning." She said grabbing Sierrah's hand and squeezing it.

When she walked out of the room we got up to head out to the car and she was keeping it all in but when I opened the truck door to help her inside she started crying really hard.

"Cam I'm only twenty years old. I have a lot of life to live and how can I have cancer?" She cried.

"I know Sunshine but you are going to be ok and some way or another we will have a baby at some point. We are both young and have plenty of time ok?" I said leaning in kissing her lips.

"I need to tell my family. Can you get ahold of my dad later and tell him that I need him and mom to come over this evening? They can tell everyone else besides Violet and Coop I want them to come as well." She said.

"I can do that once we get home ok?" Do you want to stop and get ice cream?" I ask her.

"Yeah, that would be nice but I don't want to go in though." She said.

I pull up at the ice cream parlor and go inside and get us both two dipped cones and come back out and head on home.

We finish them before we pull up at the house. I get out and go around to her side and help her out of the truck. She wraps her arm around my neck.

"I think I'm going to go upstairs and take a nap. I need time to process." She said.

"Ok and I'll let everyone know to come over. Say what time?" I ask.

"I guess around 6 pm will be ok. It's not anything to celebrate and I'm not sure I can tell them. If I can't will you Cam?" She asked.

"I would do anything for you Sunshine," I said kissing her forehead and then watching her walk upstairs.
