Abira rushes into my arms and hugs me tight. "Let's go sit down ok?" I said to her looking at Cam.

We all three walk into the living room and I sit down beside her.

"I can go into another room if you would be more comfortable," Cam said.

"No, it's ok Cam you can stay." Abira sniffs.

"Now please tell me what happened," I said.

"So I stayed to help Leigh clean up and get things ready for in the morning when Markie walked in. We asked what he was doing there and he said you sent him there to check on the cats." She sniffed.

"No, I never did that. I haven't talked to him. But anyway." I said.

He hung around and I know you saw us arguing. He kept annoying me asking me to go out with him and I said no." She said.

"Ohhh that's what that was," I said.

"Well, I had gone to the back to storage to get cat food to fill the bowls for the night. I had the cat food in my hand and when I turned around he was in the storage room too shutting the door and locking it." She sniffed.

Cam handed over a box of kleenex.

"Are you ok with that Abira?" I asked holding her hand.

I hug her tight and let her cry on my shoulder while Cam calls Coop.

"They will be here in a few minutes to take your statement. They will probably need Leigh's as well." Cam said.

A few minutes later Coop and Violet arrive and take Abira's statement. They advise her to stay with us tonight since she lives alone across town.

They are going to go talk to Leigh and then go pick him up. If it wasn't for Leigh banging on the door he probably would have actually raped her.

After they leave Cam said he got my bed set up in one of the spare rooms that Abira can sleep in. He even gathered up pillows and covers too.

I help Abira to the bedroom and tell her if she needs anything just get it. "There is also pizza in the fridge we ordered earlier if you get hungry," I said.

"Thanks, Sierrah I appreciate everything." She cried.

I went to get her some clean clothes of mine because we are about the same size so she can shower him off of her.

When I made it upstairs Cam was sitting on the side of the bed.

"Wow what a night huh? I want to strangle him and I want to text him and ask him what does he think he was doing but what will it change Cam?" I said.

"It could have been you and then I would have killed him." He said.

"I'm at a loss for words Cam." I sighed.

"It's going to be ok Sunshine and if she needs to stay here I'm ok with that." He said.

"Thank you but I think she's going to stay with Leigh but I hope they get him tonight."

We brush our teeth and get ready for bed when Cam's phone beeps and he rushes over to his bedside table and picks it up.

"It's Coop he said they arrested him at his house and he's in custody," Cam said.

"That makes me feel better let me go tell Abira," I said walking downstairs and knocking on her door.

"Come in." She said.

"Hey, I just wanted you to know Coop just texted Cam and said they picked him up he's been arrested," I said.

"That makes me feel somewhat better." She said.

"We are headed to sleep I'll wake you in the morning and if you don't want to work I understand," I said.

"No, I don't want to go home and dwell on it. As long as I can borrow something to wear I'd rather work." She said.

"That can be arranged. Nite Abira."

"Night Sierrah and thank you." She said.

I head back upstairs and Cam is laying in bed on his back staring at the tv that's playing. "She ok?" He asked.

"Yeah better now she wants to work tomorrow," I said.

"Coop said he admitted it and was pissed that she called the police. I'm not sure how long he is going to be in there." Cam said.

"I can't believe he would be so mad at me for finding you that he would do something hurtful to my friends. I guess I didn't know him at all Cam."

He opens his arms and I move over close to him in the bed and he hugs me so tight. "I'm sorry Markie did all this. I knew I felt weird about the guy. I'd love to punch him but that won't solve anything." He said kissing my forehead.

"No it won't but at this point, I would like to punch him in the throat." I laugh.

"I would love to see that." Cam laughed.

"Should I do something with the storage room and lock?" I ask.

"No, it's fine the way it is. People like Markie was just looking for prey and Abira was it." He said.

I kissed his lips and snuggled into him and drifted off to sleep.
