By the time I got home later, that evening dad was waiting on me and he didn't look happy.

"Hey, dad," I said as I sit my bag down.

"Sierrah Alice." He said drinking his coffee.

"Alright what's wrong? Or what did I do?" I ask.

"You didn't come home last night." He said.

"Yes dad I know and I texted mom why did she not tell you?" I asked grabbing a cookie.

"She did and even though I'm mad you didn't come home I'm happy that you done such a sweet gesture for Cam on that hard day." He said.

"I had to do something. I want to somehow get his dad's ashes that are here in storage but he doesn't want his mom to know he's out of the Air Force." I said.

"I'll look into it and see what I can do. I know a guy." He smiled.

"That would be awesome dad!" I smile and sit beside him.

"How is Julia?" He asked.

"Much better now. She was running a fever and it was terrible." I said yawning.

"Did you get your cats?" He asked.

"Yeah ten of them and between Cam, Markie, and I got them all named," I said.

"Wow, you got them in the same room?" He laughed.

"Yeah, Cam said he would try. Well, I need to go lay down dad." I said.

I get up and get a drink of water and before I can get up the steps he clears his throat.

"Sierrah do you love him?" He asked.

I turned around and looked at him. "Yes dad I do and he loves me too."

"That's what I figured. Well, I'm happy for you but just be careful ok? I don't want to be a grandpa yet." He laughed

"I can't promise anything." I laugh rushing upstairs to my room.

I slept for four hours and woke up to my phone beeping. I roll over and grab my phone and read the message.

📱Sunshine! If you feel like coming over this evening let me know. I was going to cook for you.

📱I just woke up? What time do you want me to come over?

I lay my phone down and go take a shower and slip on some clothes and pack a bag to keep in the car.

Dad was sitting on the couch watching tv. "Hey, dad I'm going to Cam's," I said.

"Alright be careful going over there. Are you coming back tonight?" He asked.

"I'm not sure dad," I said.

"If you decide you arent please text me so I don't worry." He said.

"I can do that. Bye dad I love you!"

"I love you too Sierrah. Oh, wait! My friend got access to that storage unit and Cam can get his dad's ashes. Here is the info that he needs." He said getting up grabbing the paper.

"Oh wow!" I smile.

"My friend said for him to come in the next couple of days. Maybe he can go with you this evening." He said.

"Thank you so much, dad! I hope he will want to go. I love you bye dad!"

"Bye Sierrah love you too." He said.

I jump in my car and head to Cam's. I can't wait to tell him about the storage unit. I hope he is willing to go.

I pull up and grab my bag and head to the door. I hit the doorbell and Cam opens the door smiling.

"Hey sunshine! Come on in." He said pulling me inside.

"Did you cook already?" I ask.

"No haven't yet why?" He asks.

"I have something to share with you and I'm not sure how you're going to take it but I hope as happy as me." I smile.

"You're scaring me. What is it?" He asked.

"I told my dad that you couldn't get to your dad's ashes because you didn't want your mom to know you were back. Well, he has connections and he gave me this a bit ago. He has a friend that owns that storage unit and said we can go in and gave me the info on how." I smile.

"What? Really? Your dad did that for me?" He asked.

"Yes he did and I wanted to help you get them so if you're ok with it let's go get them." I smile.

"Well, let's go I'm excited to get in that storage. I'm sure my mom doesn't care or even remember it because she didn't pay for it." He said.

"Then who does?" I ask.

"A friend of my dads pays for it but it's in my mom's name." He said locking the door and heading to his truck.

We pull up at the storage unit and I walk inside and tell them who I am and they tell us to go right on ahead and gives us the locker number.

When we get to the storage unit Cam gets out and lets out a big sigh before pulling the door up.

We spent an hour in there looking at stuff that belonged to Cam or his dad. We found his ashes and medals and uniform along with some of Cam's things.

We loaded a couple of boxes into his truck and got out of there and head back to his house.

Once at his house, we carry the boxes in and I tell him the table he has upstairs he needs to bring into the living room and place the medals near his picture.

He grabs the table and I decorate it and place his medals on the table near his picture.

"It looks beautiful Sunshine! I couldn't have done this without you. I owe your dad a big thank you." He said.

"Can I take a pic and send him?" I ask.

"Sure but first I need a kiss." He smirks pulling me close and crashing his lips onto mine.
