The next evening I lay my new dress on the bed and start getting ready. I can't wait to go out with Cam tonight.

I was putting my makeup on when dad knocked on my door. "Can I come in?"

"Sure dad what's up?" I ask.

"I just wanted to say Happy Birthday." He said.

"Thanks, Dad." I smile.

"Going somewhere?" He asked.

"Yeah, Cam is taking me out for my birthday," I said.

"I figured so. Well, I won't keep you just wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday. I hope you have a good night." He said.

Thanks, dad I appreciate it." I smiled.

Once he leaves I slip my dress and heels on and look at my makeup again before applying a light lipstick before heading downstairs.

My mom gives me the thumbs up as I walked out the door. I get in my car and drive to Cam's house. When I knock on the door he opens it with one single sunflower in his hand.

"Aww, Cam." I smile.

"Happy Birthday Sunshine!" He said.

"Thank you." I smile as he grabs my hand and leads me to his truck. He helps me inside.

Once at the restaurant he comes around and helps me out of the truck. "You look beautiful tonight in that white dress." He said.

"Thank you! I bought it for this occasion." I smile as we walk inside.

"I have a reservation for two under Baines." He said to the lady behind the podium. She winked and wacked on her gum to find his name.

"Ah, here it is. Follow me." She said twisting her hips.

"If she twists any harder her hips are going to fall off." I laugh.

Cam squeezes my hand and smirks when I look back at him.

"If there is anything you need at all just holler." She said showing off her itty bitty titties.

"We would like another person to wait on us please because if I have to see your chicken cutlets shaking any longer I may be sick," I said smiling.

The girl looked shocked and just stomped away.

"I know you didn't do that but is it ok to laugh?" Cam said.

"I hate people like that. Does she not see that we are clearly on a date? I mean what the hell." I said.

A few minutes later a guy walks over to the table to take our order and I smirk at Cam. He takes our order and walks away.

"I'm sure your glad to see it was a guy instead." Cam laughed.

"Yes, I would because I'm scrappy and ready to fight." I laughed.

"I don't doubt that a bit. On a different note, I'm very happy to see you wearing your necklace." He said.

"I haven't taken it off since you put it on me and I don't plan to." I smile as the guy brought our appetizers out and set in front of us.

As I dig into my salad I look up and Cam is looking at me. "What something on my face?" I ask.

"No, I was just looking at you. How does it feel to be twenty today?" He asked.

"I'm not sure, to be honest. I feel the same." I shrug.

"Well either way you look beautiful!" He smiled.

Once the waiter brings our food over and I saw that steak my mouth watered. "God this looks delicious," I said.

When we finish eating Cam asks for a nice bottle of cider and when the guy comes back and pours two flutes filled with the cider he brings over a big piece of cake with one candle in it.

"Happy Birthday Sunshine!" Cam smiles.

I wish for Cam to be mine before I blow out the candle. I hand Cam a fork and we share the big piece of chocolate cake.

"Damn this tastes really good," Cam said.

"It's really good thank you for doing all of this. I can't remember a better birthday." I smile.

We finish our meal Cam hands his credit card to the waiter to pay for the meal and when the card gets brought back over it's from the girl at the podium.

She never said a word and walked away but when Cam picked up the receipt I saw a number on the back.

"Oh hell no," I said snatching that receipt and before Cam could ask what was wrong I got out of my seat and walked right over to the podium where the girl was standing.

She looks up at me so unconcerned. "Can I help you?"

"Yeah, you can help me." I rip the receipt up and lay it on the podium in front of her. "The next time you want to slip your phone number to someone else's boyfriend you should think twice. Because I'm going to kick your ass." I said.

I felt a warmth circle around my waist and pull me close. "Sierrah let's go. It's not worth either of our time." He whispers in my ear.

"You better be glad he's pulling me out of here or your ass would be mine," I said pointing at her.

"I'm not afraid." She shrugged.

"You should be because my sister and brother in law are cops," Cam said escorting me out.

Once in the car, I'm quiet because I realize I probably embarrassed him. "I'm so sorry Cam," I said.

He put his hand on my leg. "Don't be sorry it was nice to see the feistiness come out in you but I would have hated for Coop or Violet to come arrest you." He laughed.

"Yeah well, it would have been worth it. I wanted to mop the floor with her raggedy ass." I huffed.

"Let's head to my house and relax for a while. How does that sound?" He asked.

"It sounds great with me Cam." I smile over at him and place my hand on top of his.

The rest of the car ride was silent. I'm so glad my big mouth didn't mess things up. But she better hope I don't see her out.
