Entering the apartment, I shut the door letting out a sigh. What a morning I've had, just the thought of it causes a stupid grin to make its way on my face.

Interrupting my thoughts, Celine walks in fixing her earrings and fully dressed for work. "Oh good your back. I thought I would have to send the cops for you or something" she says snorting

"You're funny" I say as I start walking to my room with my box in hand

"Oh what's that?" Celine asks pointing to the box. "Hunter's jersey and you know...just some tickets to the season opening Giants game—that we both will be attending" I say nonchalantly knowing full well she's gonna freak out.

"Are you fucking serious?" She asks excitedly as she follows me to my room

"Dead ass" I said getting excited about her excitement

"Bitch it's fucking lit! Ah! I'd have to clear my schedule" she said frantically

"Yeah same" I said going to my closet to pick out something to wear for work

"Anyways, how was the date spending the night with Hunter Reece and all that?" She asks all giddy

"It was good" I say trying not to give too much away as I placed my work outfit on my bed and faced her.

"You had sex didn't you! Look at you! You aren't a virgin anymore?!" Celine was really flipping out

"We didn't have sex Celine" I say as I giggled

"The fuck you giggling for? He gave you head didn't he? Hunter get down like that now?!" I couldn't even deny that now, and the smile erupting in my face says it all.

"Bitchhh!" She says shook "Okay, Okay I gotta go to work but you are literally gonna spill everything when I get back" she says as she gets ready to walk out. "Damn my little sister getting more play then me? ain't that some shit" She says shaking her head as she goes out the door.

Finally in complete silence, I began grab my towel to get ready for a quick shower before work.

My phone pings and I go to quickly check it:

The message automatically warming my heart, I quickly type out a response grinning before heading to the bathroom to shower and get ready for work.

Even though I wasn't too fond of my job, I was surprisingly in a good mood for work. I placed my things down on my desk as I finally sat down in my chair—My head was off in space

"Wow looks like your in a good mood today" Ruby said whilst leaning on the door way. I snapped my head in he direction, caught off guard.

I still was a little upset at her for spilling my business at lunch, and I thought it'd be best if I just let her know I wasn't fucking with it. I forgave her, but I just had to let her know for a possible next time.

"Yeah I am in a good mood actually" I said giving her a small smile "but do you mind if I talk to you for a second?"

"Oh sure, but make it quick Mr. Corver might just walk in at any moment" she says lightly laughing before she shut the door

"Oh no it's quick I promise" I rambled out "Ruby I know you didn't mean no harm by this, but I just wanted to let you know that you telling Laurel about Hunter and I didn't sit right with me" I could sense she was about to butt in but I wasn't done saying my piece yet

"I don't know Laurel like that, and the way you just told her my business makes me wonder who else you told" I finally finish getting out

"Look I'm sorry, and you are completely right. I shouldn't have said anything especially something you told me personally. I got excited, and it just slipped out. I should have been more considerate" her apology seemed genuine enough

"It's fine, just for next time—anything I tell you that's personal should stay between us, unless I outright say something myself" I said seriously

"I promise" she said with a small smile "so are we good?" She asks

"We are one hundred percent good"

"This girl plays too much" I to myself said chuckling as I headed to my home gym for a quick work out.

I sent back a gif in response:

Locking the screen of my phone, I head in to the gym.

After my workout, I planned to invite Tevin and Chris to hang—I was also hoping to invite Luke too.

After doing some cardio, I quickly hit up the guys and they were all game to come through. Heading to the master bathroom, I showered and began to put some clothes on when my phone pinged. Nadia messaged back, and I quickly typed back a response:

I laughed out loud, God she's adorable.

"Yo we have arrived" I heard Chris yell as he entered my house, I had left the door opened for them

"Chris you doing too much" Tevin said scrunching up his face

"Hey guys" I said dapping each of them up

"So what we about to get into" Chris asked rubbing his hands

"Can we actually head out somewhere? No offense Hunter, but I ain't tryna sit in this house playing video games" Tevin said

"Why? Cause you getting war flashback of your fiancé trapping you in the house" Chris snorts out

"Shut yo ass up, before I lay to ass out" Tev said annoyed

"He big mad"

"So where are we going?" I butt in to stop the conversation from escalating

"I got the perfect place to go" Chris says smiling

"I don't know if I trust that smile" I say letting out a nervous chuckle

"How 'bout we go to eat at that real nice Italian pizza place that just opened up?" Tevin offers knowing full well where ever Chris thought of taking us was gonna be trouble

"Man, Whatever" Chris said waving his hand in disagreement

"It actually sounds pretty good, I could eat" I shrugged

"Two against one as always" Chris said rolling his eyes "Lets head out then. What we standing around for?"

"Oh I invited Luke, he should be here any minute" I said sitting down on the couch in the living room.

"Backup Quarterback Luke?" Tevin asked to which I nodded

"You invited weirdo Luke?! Since when were y'all were cool like that?!" Chris screeched out

"Since he gave me some good ass advice and I realized he ain't all that bad"

"Boy done lost his mind" Chris says shaking his head

"Maybe he ain't that bad" Tevin adds in

I sent a text to Luke and he said he'd meet us at the Venue. So me, Chris, and Tevin are currently seated in a booth waiting for him to show up.

"So y'all going to the ESPYS next Sunday?" Tevin asked

"Nah I ain't going, no point" I said shaking my head

"Your nominated for Best Breakthrough Athlete though?" Chris said with furrowed brows

"You're point? I probably won't win anyway" I shrug

"You don't give yourself enough credit.
Sure you didn't win the championship, but getting to that stage right outta college is something not a lot of players do. You should go win or lose." Tevin always knows the right words to say

"Fuck it. Yeah I'll go." I said smiling. He's right I don't t give myself enough credit, I was so focused on my failures —not even realizing how much I've really accomplished in just one year in the league.

"Aye that's what's up" Chris says patting my shoulder—rather roughly I might add

"Okay damn" I said pushing his hand as I rubbed my shoulder

"My bad" he said laughing only to get distracted by a beautiful women walking by; him checking out her ass

"We can't take this nigga anywhere" Tevin said shaking his head

"We can't take YOU anywhere cause I'm scared yo girl might pop up on us with yo tied down ass. Am I right Hunter?" He said nudging my shoulder laughing hysterically

"Nah I'm not with you on that one" I said chuckling

"Wait don't tell me you got yourself a girl too?!"

"Not yet but she will be" I said smirking

"Aye that's what up" Tevin says grinning from across the table

"What girl though? I ain't even know yo ass was dating" Chris says incredulously

"It's Nadia, you know the girl I showed you on Instagram" Just thinking about her bout the biggest smile to my face.

"The black girl?!" He asks causing me to nod

"Damn Hunter, I see you" Tevin says smiling

"Yea-" only for me to be interrupted by the sudden appearance of Luke by our table

"I've arrived, so let's get this party started" Luke said out loud

Okay maybe he is a little weird...

Judging from the unamused expression Tevin gives me and Chris mouthing the words 'I fucking told you he's weird', I could tell they were automatically off-put by Luke

As the night went on though, they guys loosened up and we proceeded to have a good ass time. Luke fitting into our group quite nicely.
