You remind yourself you have to breathe in order to live, but all breath is knocked out of your lungs.

Don't get ahead of yourself. It's just wishful thinking. You're not the only one with anxiety and he doesn't have only one client.

But... Is it normal to go on a blind date with your client?

"What about you?" He asks, not at all affected by how you're squirming in your seat with unknown elation. You're practically covering your face with your both hands as you smile blushingly into them.

"Huh?" You look up as he knocks his knuckles on the table.

"I distinctly remember you said on the phone that you were about to start a new chapter of your life, what is it?" He asks and it sounds like he's changed the topic.

"Oh, I kinda got over my ex this morning." You say matter-of-factly.

His eyes go teeniest bit wide.

"That's an oddly precise and abrupt time to get over someone." He comments and your lungs fill with new mirth. He's amused that you find his ordinary conversation so humourous that you're so frequently giggling.

"I don't think so. It's just-" you're interrupted by your phone ringing.

"You're busy even on the weekends. Gosh, I so need to get a good job." He says lightly and you flash him an apologetic smile knowing well enough that he's being sarcastic as you excuse yourself.

ugh.

It's Leena.

Is she having problems with your undies? You made sure to wash yours. Oh, god. You hope you didn't leave anything out for her to do. Because, you're sure she's gonna make Namjoon do the dirty work without checking twice. That's gonna be so embarrassing.

You wonder for a moment if you should go to the side to take it, but then decide to answer it right there anyway.

"Hi." You puff out nervously.

"Y/N!" She sounds mad.

Uh oh. What did you do now? Your anxiety ridden brain is trying to jog back in your memory to find anything you might have done wrong back at home.

After all, receiving a call from Dr. Kim totally messed up with the functional wires of your brain.

"What's wrong?"

"How can you do this, Y/n. You're so cruel. Where the hell are you?" She demands. You crease your eyebrows in confusion and look up at Taehyung. He's watching you with a slight smile. His usual habit of gliding his tongue over his lips slowly and then his index finger flies to his mouth to stroke his bottom lip in a painfully slow pace.

"What did I do?" You ask innocently as you lower your voice and your head to the table.

"Namjoon is disappointed in you. I mean, you should have totally said no if you were not willing to go! Standing someone up on a date is so WRONG!" She's furious but you're absolutely confused.

"I'm on a date right now. What do you mean?" You ask. Gosh, if you expose yourself right now, Taehyung is gonna know how stupid you are.

You're already beginning to doubt that you definitely messed up and are on a wrong date. Ridiculous, who even makes such an awful mistake?

You, of course.

Taehyung narrows his eyes at you and then raises his eyebrows in a 'what's wrong' way.

You smile and shake your head.
"Don't lie to me. Kang y/n, send me your location right now. I gotta come to whack your bum."

Ugh. You sigh really noisily as you roll your eyes.

"What's the name?" You ask. You feel stupid that you didn't ask before. You just ran all the way here without asking the real details.

Of course, you're dense! Kim Taehyung being your blind date was already too good to be true and of course, impossible to believe in the first place.

You lock your gaze with him and frown thoughtfully.

Who's his date then?

You don't even know why you're nosy or jealous.

That's none of your business, y/n.

You're scolding yourself mentally and Leena demands you to end your date this very moment.

"I can't do that." You laugh. "Tell me the name?"

"Park Jimin." She breathes angrily.

Aww. Sounds like a cute guy.

"Where's he?" You wonder loudly.

"You're a bitch, y/n." She hisses as you laugh. You don't even know what wrong you did at all. You feel like she's just overreacting. You followed all instructions!? He's the one who didn't turn up. Right?

Wrong. You know you're wrong.

"Look, I gotta go. I'm on a really goood date. I think you're killing the mood here." You over exaggerate as you exhale loudly. "I don't know where we messed up, but fate-"

"I'm gonna kill you!" She screeches over the phone and you instinctively hold it at 4 inches length from your ear and sigh as you smile at Taehyung. As he patiently waits for your drama to end, you roll your eyes and cut the call right between Leena's angry hisses and furious screeches.

Ain't nobody got time for that

"So." You drum the table and shrug your shoulders, "I deeply apologize for that." You inform him. He barely shakes his head, "What's wrong?"

You already find yourself laughing icily, knowing full well how you're gonna sound when you spell it out.

"Long story short, I'm a stupid person." You tell him.

"Let me be the judge of that." He sounds interested as he leans forward, his fingers interlacing together at the height of his face as he watches you with eyes full of curiousity.

"Let me ask you a question." You squint at him suspiciously. His face goes into a defensive expression even before you've begun.

"Who's your date?" You throw at him.

"Don't attack me like that." He laughs suddenly.

"Honestly, because I'm wedged between my best friend, her boyfriend, you and some weird dude-"

"I had no date." He says simply and your eyes go wide.

"What? So you lie-"

"Umm, no I made last minute plans to have a breakfast with you with your full consent. Remember?"

Uh, yeah. He's right. So, that leaves...

You.

You're the idiot one here.
