Gracen's view

There were a whirlwind of events that took place that shocked the hell out of me. I would have never expected Emery to turn and take a swing at Jackson. He well damn deserved it, but holy crap, I was not expecting that. To be honest, it's kind of hot that Emery is tough and that she can take a guy down. If Emery wasn't in so much mental pain, I probably would have drilled for her right then and there. I could obviously see that what Jackson said affected her greatly. I tried to talk with her but she was so spaced out and I tried to hold her arm, and I felt her panicking . I immediately gave her a hug to reassure her. It hurt so much to see her like this. If she didn't need me so much by her side, I probably would have gone to kick Jackson in the nuts.

I didn't see much of a change in Emery so I took her out of there. In the car I could see her pained face as she touched her right hand. It was already bruising up and she had a cut on her knuckle. That's when I decided to take her to my house to help fix her hand regardless of her telling me not to. Every now and then I'd see a tear roll down her face and it killed me to see that.

When we arrived at my house I grabbed her left hand and pulled her in my house. I told her to stay in the kitchen while I went to get a med kit. When I went back to her I ordered her to get on the counter so I could tend to her hand. She said it was fine, but I gave her a look and she jumped on the counter. I took out cotton ball and dropped some alcohol on it then applied it to her hand. She yelped a little from the pain. I then put bandaged up her hand and went to the fridge to get her an ice pack and put it on her hand. I noticed some tears on her face so I grabbed a napkin and then parted her legs so I could stand in the middle to get closer to her face. I wiped the tears away which really shocked her because she pulled back but she was trapped. I stepped closer and grabbed a strand of hair in her face and put it behind her ear. We locked eyes and neither of us could look away. I started to slowly lean closer to her face. Her eyes were just so mesmerizing and I couldn't help but want to feel her lips on mine. My heart started beating so fast due to what was about to occur. Then I instinctively put a hand up to her cheek to stroke it and pull her closer. We were so close to finally kissing which I've wanted so badly from the start. The anticipation was killing me as we got closer.

"Hey Gracen. How was school?" Asked my sister as she walked into the kitchen witnessing me about to kiss Emery. We both jumped back again, but Emery was unfortunate. She hit her head on a cabinet.

"Oh sorry. Didn't know I was interrupting," Spencer said giving me a wink.

"Um actually I have to go," Emery said abruptly.

Ugh why the heck do we always get interrupted when we are about to kiss. I'm seriously going to kick my sister's but later.

Emery was already saying bye and out the door before I or my sister could say anything.

"Woops. That was her right? The one you're in love with?" Stated Spencer.

"Shut up," I replied.

Then Emery scared both I and Spencer as she came back inside.

"Umm Gracen, can I have a ride home?"

"Of course," I replied.

As I followed Emery out, my sister gave me another wink. Oh god, I will never live this done especially since I know she's going to tell my parents about this. The car ride to Emery's house was pretty quiet. When we got there she said thx and paused before getting out. She quickly leaned over and gave me a sweet but brief kiss on the cheek and said thanks for everything again before getting out. I just sat there in complete shock, she was getting bolder. I drove home a very happy girl. I was determined to kiss her for sure next time I have the chance.
