|Sybella Fiori|

"Hey!" A big smile played on my lips as I walked into the hospital suite. My best friend was lying on the bed, full face or makeup and she was watching TV, looking as fresh as a cucumber.

Anna grinned "Hi, beauty. You look so expensive in that coat."

A chuckle left my mouth as my eyes fell on her bump "I always look expensive, baby."

She grinned "Exactly." Anna grabbed both of my hands and let out a deep sigh "I'm so happy you're finally here, I've missed you so much."

"I'm here now and I'm not leaving your side until this baby is born," my eyes diverted to her bump for a second. "You look so beautiful in your full glam," the level of uncomfortable but it's Anna, she always wants to look like Miss Universe. Good for her. I could never.

"Is that Sybella Fiori's back I see?" The female voice with a faint Russian accent, compelled me to turn around; Ekaterina Petrovna, the mother of the Zharkov children.

My smile widened as I approached the woman with platinum blonde hair, Ilya and Slava get the brunette from their dad "You look fabulous, as always," my arms laced around her; she hugged me back, quite enthusiastically.

"I'm so happy to see you, darling," she whispered before pulling away. "Are you staying at the house? Of course you are," she replied for me before I could even give it a thought.

"Mama, pust' govorit," Ilya told.

(Mom, let her speak.)

"Why?" His mother scoffed "I'll still convince her to stay with us, it's the right thing to do, she's like family."

Ilya stayed quiet, no comment on what I did to him which is rather impressive. For the last couple months our relationship has been getting better, I mean, we don't fight every five minutes anymore; he doesn't call me snake, I don't have to ignore him and he is thoughtful enough to come and see me every time after my monthly anniversary dinners. We work better when we are not in an endless war.

"Mama, make sure Sybella has the appropriate wardrobe to keep her warm," Anna said. "I don't want the godmother of my baby getting sick."

"I'm not as delicate as you believe," I gazed at Anna over my shoulder.

My best friend chuckled "You don't know what Russia's weather will do to you so shut up and wear the coats."

"I will give her endless coats to keep her protected," Ekaterina caressed my cheek with her right set of knuckles; my head immediately turned to meet her eyes. "We must have a talk, woman to woman, with vodka or tea or both," the stunning woman chuckled.

"Whenever you want us to, just let me know," since I became Anna's friend, Ekaterina has treated me like her own daughter. Even after what I did to her son...it's unbelievable she doesn't loathe me, she even congratulated me, said I was fierce and powerful. She really is something else apart from ex-KGB/MI6. Double agent. The woman is a badass.

After an hour of chatting with everyone in the room; Ilya, Ekaterina, Michail (Anna's baby daddy) and Lada (Michail's mother), the doctor came to check on Anna whose dilation is at 8 cm. Woah, she's quick and doesn't complain much about the contractions, she says they're strong but that waxing herself when she was 13 was worse.

I gently lay beside her, under her request and let out a deep sigh "You're going to be a great mother, Anna." She has changed a lot as the pregnancy progressed, so did her attitude towards the world. My best friend is finally mature.

"It takes a great mother to see another one," she smiled, gazing down at me. "When are you having one?"

My jaw clenched at the thought of Avyanna, she would already be running by now "That's of no importance now," I cleared my throat.

Anna groaned "Come on, I want to be an aunt."

"Calm down, Anna," my right hand rested on her bump as my mind traveled to my last hours as a pregnant woman. I missed the bump for two whole months because it was multipurpose: table, baby house, canvas and arm rest.

Ilya approached the bed and gazed down at his sister with such love and care "You know I love you more than anything sister but I have to go handle some business."

Anna smiled, looking up at her brother "Just be here tonight to meet your nephew."

"It's a promise," he leaned down and pecked Anna's forehead before leaving.

It took Anna to get to 10 cm around 90 minutes more, she asked for everyone to step out except for me. Michail was quite pale so he was of no use, his mother and Ekaterina had to help him out.

My best friend's contractions became strong as the doctor and her nurses assumed their respective places; it was time for Anna to start pushing. Tears ran down the blonde's face as her eyes locked on mine; she was frightened.

"It hurts so bad, Sybella," she cried, gripping my hand tightly.

"I know, sweetheart but you have to keep on pushing," with a towel, I patted the sweat off her forehead as she took a deep breath and pushed so hard her limbs trembled.

Avyanna's delivery was long and painful. I pushed for an hour straight and it felt as if my insides were being turned inside out; Jay walked out of the hospital with a black eye because I was looking for his hand, instead I found his eye.

For a moment, I really thought I was going to die because of how much pain was flowing through my body. Jay was the one who kept me going the entire time, even with a black eye, he whispered into my ear sweet things and told me how in the very near future we would have a living proof of our love.

It seems like a lifetime ago.

"Ahhh!" Anna screamed, bringing me back to reality, as her back arched, exaggeratedly.

"U nas yest' on!" The doctor announced as she handed the crying baby to a nurse.

(We have him!)

"How does he look, Sybella?" Anna asked, out of breath.

A big smile played on my lips as tears formed in my eyes "He is so handsome, a heartbreaker for sure."

She chuckled softly "You will be the best aunt in the world," the woman seemed beyond tired.

"I love you, sweetheart," I pecked her forehead. "Just the placenta and you're done, you can have a glass of champagne," that seemed to give her the drive she needed to push out the placenta in three minutes.

The nurse handed her her baby in a very expensive blanket "Could you go get everyone?" Anna grinned as the baby rested in her arms.

"Sure," the baby was so wrinkled and still a little purple which is normal. I can sense the breakdown coming but I'll hold it in until there's no one in the room but me.

The family came in the room, and now Slava and Vladimir (the Zharkov dad) were also here. They all had their time to carry little Dimitri, that's what Anna decided to call him; it was the name of her mom's dad.

Ilya came back with a fresh suit, I'm sure he killed somebody. He carried Dimitri the longest and gazed down at him as if he was the only person in the world.

"What are you looking at?" Slava stood beside me.

I cleared my throat, diverting my eyes from Ilya, who was by the window, to Slava "Nothing, just thinking."

The man wrapped his arms around me and rested his chin on my head "I know this must be hard for you," he whispered.

A weak smile appeared on my lips, at least somebody here knows about my pain "I'm fine, I just need to cry."

"Ilya, give me Dimitri," Ekaterina told her oldest son.

Ilya shook his head "Just a little bit longer." His accent comes out so thick after speaking just a bit of Russian; it's kinda cute...

"Ilya Vladimirovich Zharkov," Ekaterina commanded "give me the baby before I snap your neck in six places."

"Ugh," Ilya pecked the baby's forehead and gently gave it to his mother. "Bye, dorogoi." The big intimidating Russian man seemed truly sad to let his nephew go.

(Darling.)

One of the nurses took Dimitri away with two bodyguards following her. Yeah, there will be eyes on that baby for the rest of his life...maybe I should've done that for my baby too and she would be alive.

Tears formed in my eyes "Anna, I'll come back tomorrow morning but you must rest now," I approached her and pecked her forehead; she can barely keep her eyes open.

"Goodnight, pretty," she whispered.

"Goodnight." I threw on the coat before exiting the suite and put on the headband as I rushed down the hall towards the elevator.

"Sybella!" Ilya exclaimed.

I came to a complete halt and wiped my tears away quickly before turning around "Yes?"

He had his coat and a matching hat on as a soft smile played on his lips "Can I give you a lift home?"

"Um, sure," a soft smile played on my lips.

We stepped into the elevator together "Anna having a baby makes me want to have one—"

Don't want to talk about babies anymore "What's the name of these things?" I pointed at my head.

"Oh, that's a Kubanka," he told.

"And does yours have the same name or does it change because it's for a man?"

"This is a different hat," he grinned. "It's called Ushanka and it has ear flaps but they're tied together," he pointed at the top of his hat.

"Oh okay, interesting," my eyes looked forward because I didn't have anything else to say.

"Mom and dad asked me to ask you what you want for dinner? Our chef is awaiting orders."

"Oh," I cleared my throat "well, a steak with mashed potatoes would be nice."

"Really nice," the man told and then the doors opened, revealing the lobby of the hospital. I walked out first and waited for him since he is the one who knows where the car is.

Just as I was hopping into the black SUV, my phone rang and it was Nicolas' ringtone "Hi."

He cleared his throat "Hi, mon amour."

"Make this quick, Nicolas, I don't have time for your bullshit right now," it's the truth; my mental state is crumbling.

The man let out a deep sigh "I understand that you're angry at me but you don't have to use that langu—"

"Let's get one thing straight, dear Nicolas: my family will always be the most important thing in my life so when I say one of them needs me, it's not a question, neither am I asking for your permission."

Nicolas stayed quiet for a couple of seconds "I understand that now, Hazel...I'm sorry. It won't happen again," the promises of a jerk; all lies but Hazel needs to stay a little naive.

"I forgive you, don't make me get mad at you ever again because it's hard to stay that way," a fake giggle left my mouth. "I love you, bubba bear."

He chuckled "I love you more, baby cakes."

"I have to go back to my sister but I'll call as soon as possible, bye handsome."

"Bye—" I hung up.

Ilya cleared his throat "Bubba bear?" The man chuckled.

My eyes diverted to him "Yeah, Santino told me to call him that."

"Why? Is he like a beast in bed or something?"

"Unlike you, he is horrible," a soft smile appeared on my lips.

"Sybbie, are you saying this Russian cock is the best you've mounted?" A deep smirk curved his lips as he pointed at his groin.

"Top 10."

The man gasped "Oh no, you didn't," he said all sassy, making me laugh so hard, I snorted. "I love it when you laugh."

My laughter stopped, we looked at each other and both seemed, extremely, taken aback by what he said.

"You—"

"Ignore it please, let's forget I said that and move on," he interrupted; his cheeks were extremely red.

"Yeah yeah, whatever you say," I turned my head to look out the window at the snowy city and as much as my body fought it, a smile appeared on my lips.
