''Nope'' you smile, lips reaching to connect with his soft ones. And you both fall onto the bed, unaware of Yeontan's beady eyes which watched you dubiously on the sidelines.

After he had left a few languorous kisses all over your face and neck, he suddenly dozed off and fell asleep on top of you.

He must've been acting like that because he was tired...

You try to shift yourself out of his grasp so he can sleep in a comfortable position, but his arms hold you tighter. His weight was kinda heavy on top of you...

After a while of squirming about, you finally manage to succeed in escaping his grasp and roll onto the other side of your bed.

However it's not long before he deeply groans, arm reaching out to grab your petite body back into his arms. ''...idiot'' he mumbles incoherently, body flipped to the side so he snuggles into your hair.

Euphoric sparks ignite in every part of your body as it begins to heat up. And you're way too excited, to in fact realise that Yeontan had mysteriously disappeared from where you had last seen him.

Panic arises within you as your eyes search every corner of the room, but to no avail.

''Taehyung?'' you softly call. ''Yo, wake up''

No response.

''Daddy?''

His hooded eyes roll open, locking with yours. ''What the fuck do you want?''

''Yeontan's gone'' you say, pointing to the empty floor.

''HUH?!'' he jumps up, wide eyes glancing around for any traces of his beloved pet. ''And the fuck am I doing in your bed?''

''You fell asleep'' you shrug, smirking. ''A great cuddler, I must say''

His eyebrows furrow as he gives you an impassive glance. ''fuck off. I'm going to find Yeontan''

Taehyung walks out of your room, a blush rising to his cheeks. Shit, I hope she didn't realise I was pretending...

As for Yeontan, he was found back inside Uri's room, fast asleep. Dog's get tired too, probably.

The next morning.

Workers in white lab coats rustle around the marble floors in the early morning, mostly crowding around the new batch of successful experiments.

Here, so deep underground a normal person would have failed to distinguish the difference between light and day. The large bulbs exuded the same bright lights 24/7.

After roaming around the large institute alone, you pretty much got the gist of how things worked around here. The seven wonders would go out every few days to bring back some 'sacrifices', and they would then be taken to the lab and placed in large tubes of water. It would then take a matter of 5-10 days until they are released, and a new batch of kids are taken in, and the process repeats.

The experimented kids would then be given a room, and mostly reside inside the premises or roam about on the first floor. That meant, Uri along with some of the random kids you saw hanging out were the previous experiments...

Any previous memories the teenagers had remained dormant within them, it was almost as if they were given new life.

After a while, the men in lab coats dispersed back to their jobs, leaving the bunch of teens unoccupied. You were quite eager to meet Lisa, if she remembered you that is.

''Hello?'' you tap Lisa's shoulder, making her aware of your presence. She turns around, glossy eyes widening with your excited ones.

''Y/N...?'' she says a little hesitantly, as if she had finally recognised you. ''Is it really you?'' she leaps in for a hug, smile bright. Your arms enclose around her, but somehow her body feels...a little scaly?

''The rest of my memories seem a little hazy, but I remember you!'' she exclaims a little more confidently. Look's like they remember someone after seeing them physically...

Your smile falls, guilt lacing your sparkling orbs as you see Mina, the girl you had willingly gave over to the seven in exchange for your friends.

She simply stares at you, unblinking.

''Mina!'' you awkwardly laugh, voice lowering straight after to portray your genuine apology. ''I'm sorry''

''What are you sorry for?'' she smiles, ''In fact, I should thank you. Thanks to the Lord, I have been blessed with amazing powers!''

Her normal looking fingers reach out for you from a meter away, suddenly stretching like elastic in an inhumane way until it taps your head. ''I can extend my arms and legs and reach whatever I want!''

Lisa goes ahead and displays her scaly reptile looking skin, which apparently allowed her to swim under water like any ordinary fish.

You are stunned to silence as you watch them show off their newly obtained powers so proudly. Out of the group of modified humans, you're the one who felt different.

Out of the six or seven teens, you manage to recognise about three. Among them, was another familiar face.

''Mark, is that you bro!?'' you exclaim in surprisement. He was one of those cocky hyperactive kids in class who was always messing about or getting into fights, also being one of Kai's friends. You two weren't exactly close, but you had a few funny interactions/fights with him in school so you considered him a cool frenemy.

''Is it really you, cheddar head?!'' he shouts back, a mini flame flickering at the tip of his finger. ''Ain't my new power AWESOME?!''

The problem with this guy was he screams too much. ''You really gotta shout, flamebrain?!''

''What did you call me, ass head?!'' he screams a little too aggressively.

''I said-''

''I heard you!''

''Why you asking then?'' you roll your eyes at his idioticness. Your eyes flicker over the other unfamiliar faces and you nod at them, acknowledging their company.

''You know..'' he shouts, ''aside from being a dick crack, I love you for helping me beat up Bob in Math class'' he grins, hands reaching to fistbump with yours.

''Yo, who the fuck you 'I love you'-ing? Do I know you?'' Taehyung suddenly interrupts out of nowhere. His sleepy eyes squint down at Mark, chin tilted so he is literally looking down at him.

''Who's screaming so loud this early?'' Jungkook yawns from behind, the rest of the boys making their way down slowly.

''Excuse me?!'' Mark screams as Lisa, Mina and the other kids block their ears. ''Who are you? You wanna go, you mushroom heads?!''

''What is with you and your head insults?'' Lisa rolls her eyes, all too used to this from her past experiences in school.

''Mushroom head? SAYS YOU BROOO. Where your hairline at?'' Jungkook retaliates, triggered at his insult.

''I'LL BURN YOU TO A CRISP!'' Mark yells, a fire igniting on his finger once again.

''Calm down, you hot hazard!'' you yell back at him, attempting to blow off the fire on his finger.

He pauses, turning to you. ''Why, thank you. I am quite hot indeed'' he smirks, not shouting for the first time.

''Who this hotshot think he is?'' Jimin joins in, face scrunched in annoyance.

''Quit calling me hot, guys!'' he sarcastically fans himself. ''I'm blushing!''

You snort, watching the scene unfold in amusement until a familiar voice you dreaded interrupts you all. ''What a boisterous bunch we have here'' your mothers voice sweetly chimes, grabbing your wrist rather tightly. Everyone immediately falls silent, kneeling down to a bow.

''Y/N and you '' she points at Taehyung accusingly. ''The hall. Now''
