you put your hands up as two other police men grabbed your arms and shoved you against the wall, putting you in handcuffs. you tried to talk but it was so soft, you had no expression on your face. completely blank and nonchalant.

y/n: I didn't do-
police: you have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be held against you in a court of law.

hawks was standing behind them with such a disappointed look on his face. everything was going in slow motion, and your body grew weaker. you were being walked out as all of your classmates looked at you, with fear in their eyes. all of your friends looked at you as if you were a monster, a stranger. bakugo stood there with tears in his eyes, you looked at him as if saying sorry.

todoroki: she didn't do anything! let her go!

he was crying and the police were pushing him back, you closed your eyes and your head hung low with your hair covering your eyes.

aizawa: y/n...
all might: but...

you didn't cry, you couldn't cry. you physically couldn't bring yourself to cry.

todoroki: you're all wrong! SHE DIDNT DO IT!

they opened the doors to exit the dorms and then they opened the gates to the public, to hundreds of people, paparazzi and news reporters taking pictures of you and asking you questions. you stopped walking and looked back to see everyone one last time but the police pushed you to move and you fell to the ground

bakugo: DONT FUCKING PUSH HER

people were yelling at you, spitting and throwing stuff at you. deep down you felt you deserved it, you knew you deserved it.

the police lifted you up and someone kicked your leg, breaking it. you fell to the ground again and the people started kicking and punching you. the police shoved them all out of the way and bakugo and todoroki ran to you.

bakugo: y/n I don't care if you did it or not! we need to get you somewhere safe right now!
y/n: leave..
todoroki: what?
y/n: don't get involved.. leave me..!

someone kicked your rib cage, which still wasn't fully recovered and you coughed up blood again

bakugo: GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM HER!

todoroki was panicking and froze your leg to numb the pain of the broken bone. the police managed to get everyone away from you and pushed bakugo and todoroki away from you. they picked you up, but you couldn't stand. your legs were being dragged on the jagged ground with blood leaking out of your mouth. they put you in an ambulance and took you to the hospital.

few hours later ~

you woke up in the hospital to the police sitting on the chairs. they stood up and sat next to the bed, you were still in handcuffs. they weren't worried about you using your quirk because they knew you were too weak to use it at the time. hawks came in and sat down on the bed with his head hanging low. this was it, this was the end of the line. you knew the chase was over and you were going to jail right after getting out of the hospital-

hawks: on behalf of me, the sheriff, policemen, and fbi..

you closed your eyes

hawks: we apologize.

you opened your eyes and looked at him in confusion

hawks: the killer of leo came into the station and confessed to everything. he told us things that only we knew about the case that no one else knew, and the finger prints on the hammer matched his.
y/n: wait... what?

you had lost your voice from all the coughing from the kicks and punches and you grabbed your throat. he explained the situation further and turns out that another kid, Keon Tsushima, had watched you kill leo. Leos father had killed Keons dad and he was after Leo. He saw you as his hero for bringing justice, and ever since then he's been following the case. when the case came up again he didn't want you, his hero, to go down for it. he dug up the hammer and put his fingerprints on it, and hid it again. he wrote an anonymous letter to the police telling them to dig up the hammer. once they found it they checked for finger prints and yours and his came up. he was passing by UA when you were getting arrested and saw how you were getting beat. he felt guilty, as if he had betrayed you and after you were hospitalized he went to the police station to take the blame. he told them exactly how you had done it but instead said he had done everything, and that your finger prints were in the hammer because he grabbed the hammer from your tree house when he commuted the murder.

hawks: kid im... i'm real sorry. you don't understand how sorry I am.

you couldn't believe it, you were free. you were in the clear, he had taken the blame and it was over. it was finally over. you spent a few days in the hospital recovering and they advised you to stay off the internet for a while. your friends came to visit you and you were happy they didn't treat you differently. todoroki and bakugo would come in and visit you together when everyone else was gone and you explained everything that happened. you eventually went back to school and things pretty much went back to normal. you still got nasty stares when you walked out in public, and at times you would get dms from people, bashing you but you didn't pay attention to them.

y/n: morning aizawa- oh my gosh?? did you get a hair cut!
aizawa: I... yes I actually did thank you for noticing
y/n: 100 swag points for that

he chuckled and the whole class stared in shock. he realized he had shown emotion and panicked

aizawa: everyone go change were running laps today!

the class laughed and went to go change.

todoroki: y/n! hold up!
bakugo: why the hell are you guys always leaving me!
y/n: you guys just take too long

todoroki: stop screaming
y/n: yo WHY is it so hot today
