Vomit

I collapse onto my bed, exhausted. Tonight was fun, but I doubt I'll be doing another one any time soon. I carefully remove my shoes, rubbing my feet. I try to pull down the zipper on the dress, but I can't reach it. Great. I'm going to have to sleep in a dress all night. I remove the bobby pins from my hair, shaking it out before locating a hair tie to pull it into a ponytail. A knock at the door grabs my attention. Andy is out busy with Daniel.

I cautiously open the door, revealing the girl from the other night.

"Can I help you?"

"Can I talk to you?"

Answer a question with a statement, not another question.

"Yeah, come on in."

I close the door behind her. She looks around my room with a blank expression.

"What can I do for you tonight?"

"I was wondering if you would keep the whole thing about me dating Larry a secret. I know that Mr. Scotch frowns at employee relationships, but I can't help it. Larry is so sweet and caring."

Her words make me want to throw up in my mouth. Is it her words or the baby? Either way.

"I won't tell. I swear."

Her blank expression turns into a relieved smile. She wraps me in a hug and I stand there awkwardly.

"Thank you so much! You don't know how much this means to me! Larry and I were saving up money to buy a house of our own so I can quit here and we can have a family and-"

I wave my hand in front of her face, cutting her off.

"No offense, but Larry isn't my favorite person. I don't really want to hear about how you two have probably already tried for a family-"

"Oh, we have! Multiple times! But always with protection because we don't want a baby right at this moment."

Yeah, she needs to get out or I'm going to be sick.

"Well, as I said, I won't tell Hunter about you or your plan. Enjoy the rest of your evening."

She doesn't even look hurt by the way I am pushing her out the door. This is one cheery person.

"I'll see you around!"

She even waves at me in a creepy manner the entire time I am shutting the door in her face. I think I hear her skipping down to Larry's room, but I'd rather not open the door to check. When there is no noise from the hallways, I continue my nightly routine, realizing I could have used Opal to unzip the dress for me.

Of course I'm an idiot.
